Converting prices from Swedish krona to INR and calling it very expensive is a poor way to look at it. Average or median salaries are also much higher than India which is to be taken into consideration.

Swedish income tax has two parts. A state tax and a municipality tax.
Everyone pays the municipality tax. Which is the same % for your municipality.
Average white collar tax is 35% or so. This also includes statetax. You pay 28 to 33 % as municipal tax. Lower the taxes usually higher the av income. Usually, high income areas need less social services and there fore lower tax. The municipality decides on the tax, depending on budget requirements.
So, most of the money goes for all social services, incl unemployment and sickness.
The state tax for higher incomes is for national budget incl defence etc.
In many ways it was better before. Still better than my others.

Sweden is very interesting place to live for first few years. Then life become boring here. After few years one realize the amount of money sucked from your pocket via taxes. Dark and cold winter is gone throw life to depression. Never get sick in Sweden as public healthcare have already collapsed. When you decide you want ti move out, you don’t have any bucks in account as it’s very expenses are crazy .New immigration laws are tough enough to give PR or citizenship. Only positive things are work life balance and parental leave.

@@Khalid6720 now it is cold and windy. if you want to visit come during summar. it is like a paradise. there are lots of pizza places and an Indian restaurant with the best food. you can buy a day ticket and it will work in all of Malmö. visit Malmö Emporia, Triangle, Västra hamn, Limhamn and Malmö Södervärn. majority of people who are living in malmö are foreigners so halal food is everywhere 😊

First of all you should not compare Indian rupee to Sweden kroner or any other currency. That's because people living over then don't earn in India rupee. Second point is those Indian vegetable are brought there from India not grown locally there is a cost for that. Third the manpower cost is high that's why Indian or any Asian countries go to work there.hence the manpower required also has cost.
