I was a bit annoyed at first at the title because as an early backer I’ve seen a lot of disheartening complaints on the Facebook page as you alluded to and thought you were on the bandwagon also. Thankfully your comments were fair, and acknowledge the potential of Qoocam. Hopefully this camera I have in my hot little hands will be talked about in a more positive light in 6 months, not something stuffed in the draw. At least Kandao are slowly addressing the issues. The VR180 feature definitely has potential in my eyes at least.
If you use your thumb nail to push down the usb port cover on the end that doesent open then the end that does open will just pop up thats pretty much how i think its meant to be done ive always done this and had no trouble opening them
Hi Ben, in this video, now 2 months old, you said that this is not a review because the camera is too new. Is it now old enough to do one of your full reviews of the Kandao Qoocam? I would really appreciate your current opinion, especially now that we see the Vuze XR and now that the Insta360 one x is also available. And besides what do you think of the 180 stereo format in general
that's what I like with you Ben. Honesty and straight to the point. I just got my qoocam and waited for your comment on this. You nailed it and hopefully this will be the best 360 camera before the year ends just like the Fusion which was not as popular as today but with their updates and you're right, now they're the best. Thank you handsome guy
The only thing I disagree with is "You shouldn't complain..." Without complaints, I firmly believe companies will not fix and/or drag their feet. Also, others contemplating a purchase will be less informed of it's shortcomings. Releasing a product without it's advertised feature set (SEE SOLOSHOT 3)...is paramount to receiving complaints. If a company chooses this route, then they definitely know they are asking for it and should expect it. It's obviously up to the manufacturer if that is worth it or not. Hard to overcome customer ill-will in many cases IMHO.
Hey- so I’d say firstly there’s a difference between complaining and constructive criticism.. so far it’s been mostly complaints (e.g. negative comments with no suggested solution), and I agree 1000% that feedback is critical for all cameras becoming the best they can be, which is why it’s a necessary thing. Also I’d say it’s rare that a company releases a camera with all the advertised features ready.. normally it takes weeks if not months, just like the Fusion did. It’s annoying yes, but delaying a camera too long (especially if you’re a startup like Kandao) can mean a 360 camera becomes redundant and they run the risk of going out of business. So it’s a delicate balance of delivering awesome features as fast as possible, while also managing expectations.
Hi, Ben, I bought it before I watched this video! I didn't have a chance to use it till now but there is no app link to their older model, any suggestion of other links to upload pictures and videos from this camera? I contacted the company without any response so far.
Another great video and your video 360 course downloaded this week is very good value . I have bought qoocam but trying to find out if all android 7.0 and above phones are compatible as there is just a small list on their help site and no replies yet to my emails to support etc. Thanks Kevin
Also, thank you for your review. I'm a Kickstarter backer and I'm loving my Qoocam so far. I feel more inclined to grab it over my Rylo even though the Rylo is smaller. I find the Qoocam quality to be better and having a desktop editor is amazing when coming from a Rylo. Your review is pretty spot on to my experience so far. Definitely a camera that's only going to get better, but isn't bad at all as it is.
Just finding this video 2 years later after trying to find a cheap 360 camera that isn't terrible, does anyone know if they fixed some of the cons here? I'm still tempted though, it looks great!
Most of these issues have been fixed, & there are lots of manual settings on the app, but the JPG quality still isn't fantastic and there'll be a lot of trial & error to get good results. The DNG8 mode is MUCH better but has it's own problems. Because it's made from an average of 8 exposures, anything that moves will be a little blurred, so it's best used for landscapes & still-life, and you should avoid hand-held for the same reasons. There are definitely better cameras out there, but they're also considerably more expensive.
Hey Ben - are you using autofocus to shot this? When you point the Qoocam in front of the cam it focus to it. What is your set up to get such a smooth autofocus? Good job BTW!
The integration of 180 and 360 is what appeals to me but even though you have a love hate relationship with Yi 360 Ben - Im kinda still set on getting the Yi180 Horizon when it arrives. Great review and a pleasure to see your video, missed your wacky ,tongue in cheek attitude on here.
As I value your opinion a lot I was wondering which 360 camera would serve me the best with my high school student. We are only getting into the amazing world of 360 views and we have a limited budget. Any recommendation or advice will be appreciated!
nice honest review mate i got the qoocam too and your titel is a little bit missleading :) perhabs you should add "yet" to the titel :) im with you that there is room for improvisation :)
Hey Ben, I'm new to your channel and it has really inspired me to get back into shooting 360. I bought a Ricoh Theta S a few years ago and got my google badge, but was discouraged by my clients lack of interest in 360 content, however after watching a few of your videos I am definitely going to give it another shot. Quick question: Do you have any experience with the Nikon KeyMission 360? There's lots of mixed reviews online so I would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Thanks Danny, happy to hear it! I’ve never owned the Keymission but there was nothing but negative feedback about it which is why you should consider other cameras I talk about on my channel like this one 👍
Thank you for your video with a well-rounded and clear point of view. In all, I think Qoocam is a good camera, isn't it? By the way, I'm still waiting for the delievery. : )
I understand and agree with the relative merits of buying now or waiting. The standard saying in the software world used to be, never buy version 1. But, should we wait to see the improvements in this camera, or wait to see the comparison between this and the Vuze XR?
You’ll be waiting even longer for the XR as it’s very likely that it will also be released with bugs/issues and take a few months to be user friendly. So it’s just a matter of how long you’re willing to wait 👍
Any thoughts on the Weeview SID 3D camera? I was thinking of that for my video content. Have an Insta360 One so don’t really need another 360 camera right now. Maybe Qoocam in the future.
Hey Ben, will you be doing another quarter year review of current 360 cameras soon? Curious to see what you think are the best cameras now since your last review in April.
Really engaging and informative! Thanks for the overview! Totally know what you mean about wishing it were easier to share VR content. That seems like the biggest hurdle right now. Hopefully headset adoption will grow quickly!
Constructive criticism, not complaining. The majority of it has been the latter and people are more likely to listen when it’s kept civil, like you said.
So at this point, youd still recommend the insta360? I was looking for buying a 360 primarily for in car video (race cars and would like to review video from different angles to reflect on position)
Teething issues, for sure. Having played with 360 on the Xiaomi and Theta, the immersive capabilities of 180 are what makes this soo much more engaging (for now). Technology never stands still so this camera can only get better and as you note with the GoPro it started from a dodgy base and has since matured into a great product. The samples I have seen from various 180 VR cameras are most engaging. Think there is lots more to come from this technology. Would advise anyone to view it through a VR headset though.. the results are pretty amazing.
Bad Things with these kind camera(s) are : No Post sale supports after about a year, may be no battery replacement and accessories. Gopro support community is big, a lot supports and after market accessories.
If we’re talking 360 cameras then it’s actually the opposite- GoPro has zero support and Kandao has regular support through their Facebook group and by email
Hi, cool video, I'm Iooking for a software that would create a depth map from a 180° video, can the Qoocam software export the depth map of a video or is it just photos ?
@@BenClaremont thanks for the reply, I think I may have watched it. I can make tiny planets however I don't know how you move the viewers angle like you did on the stairwell scene
I downloaded your samples, but no idea how to view this 3D stereo image in the oculus go. Kind of curious to see it in there. Any clue on how to view it there?
Hello Ben thanks for the video! For sake of video analysis of soccer I consider the Qoocam a very interesting camera. At present I record the game from 5 metres high up with a gimble and actioncam. The Qoocam 180 angle seems ideal, as no cameraman is needed to cover the entire pitch. What is your opinion on this? I wish to try out before I buy. Unfortunately this is not possible (so far). Fred van Mourik - Animation Sports, the Netherlands.
Hi Fred, sure you can do that although a soccer field is massive and the players would become ants from even 10 meters away. You really need a zoom lens if you want to cover that kind of action properly 👍
Very compact and fair first impression of the Camera. I have the Insta360 Pro and I love the 3D aspect of it. In fact I only use it for 3D photos. I am still on the fence as far as 180 is concerned, I don't know if there is any benefit from reducing the view from 360 down. I like the compact nature and I think it could be great for taking 3D photos of people and specific landmarks. Hopefully the image quality will improve.
Thanks Joe, yeah it’s still early days and I’m also not sure about 180 yet. However what stands out to me, is it’s a cheap and easy way for most people to shoot a 3D photo, it’s not necessarily for pros 👍
Yes Ben I would agree with you there, its certainly is a cheap way to experience 3D. BTW I got the Insta360 One and the Telesin extra long selfie stick. They are fantastic together and the footage looks like it was shot with a drone. The image quality of the One isn't great but the wide field of view is excellent.
for convenient vr and sharing with people get an oculus go ....or way better when it's out the oculus quest ....or a cheap winmr headset for a pc/laptop if u have something like at least a gtx 1060 video card
Nice video Ben! Great to know more about the Qoocam... it could be a contender to replace my broken Mi Sphere (if they fix everything in updates). My inner pedant requires that I clear up 180 vs 360 though... 180 doesn't necessarily mean 3D, and 360 doesn't necessarily mean 2D. You could have monoscopic 180, and you can have stereoscopic 360 (i.e. the Vuze/Vuze+). But anyway! You know this really, because you have the Vuze. :)
Did you have magic eye books when you were kid? So there is simple trick that i use, two images side by side, make crosseyes and then in the middle you will see third 3D image. And this is how you can show us that images :D
Yea, just try to hold pictures about 20cm from your face, make crosseyes and then third full 3d image will appear in the middle :) little exercise and you will get it.
Ben Claremont that’s a bummer. Last I heard they were focusing (pardon the pun) on Cinematic cameras for the film industry. I went to there site and I’ll looks like the sold their light field technology to raytrix.de
side-by-side, so [ Left | Right ] Devide your video is two halfs, and put the left video in the left and the right on from the right lense on the right. Now, You need to check if your software can handle 360~ and 3D together. If not, then export them separately and then work on maing the 3D SBS video. The people here can then use VR set to watch it. But of course, you cannot then rotate the head and still use the 360 effect. But at least, you can watch in real 3D. The movement in the 360 will be chosen from you while editing.
I've just ordered my qoocam on Amazon for just 370 usd. Too early? I had watched your video (and some other ones), but the flash offer was just too tempting. What do you say, good buy? Congrats on your channel, btw. Keep it up!
Ben I like your videos. As a “regular guy” I appreciate you quantifying your comments for beginners and experienced users. I’ve been interested in 360 and was considering a insta360 one, but then saw the Qoocam and the potential of 3D. I came across a crowdfunding campaign for something called the Twoeyes VR that promises to do a lot for a low price. I know you haven’t tested it out, but I was curious if you think this is more hype (it can’t do any one thing very well) or something promising. Thoughts? Is 3D the way to go for a guy that wants to save fun videos with his kids? Thanks for the input and the videos.
Hey thanks- I haven’t heard of it which tells me you should give it a miss for now.. save yourself the hassle of things not working until it becomes a more popular camera that has been road tested a lot.
Thanks Ben. I appreciate the input. I am going to buy a Qoocam. I found coupon for 15% off somewhere so thats $50 off. I'm a newbie but like that I can do 360 and 180 VR. I saw your "best selfie stick" but I wasn't sure if you'd recommend something different for the Qoocam or something different for a non-pro like myself. (ie something with a tripod or something smaller). Otherwise I guess I'll get the Manfrotto. Now I have to just sign up for your course. Thank you for your great videos and helping the rest of us get started with this new era of video.
like to see the improvement like my favorite game "No Man's Sky", they are continuously developing since launch and the comments are changing from dislike to recommended now
Ben! You should try an Oculus Go to really make the most of all this 360 (and especially VR180) content. When done well, VR180 (in video) can be a completely different thing from 360. Thanks again for the informative review.
There's a really nice way to make a narrated 360° slideshow on the Oculus Go. It's in my article here: www.macprovideo.com/hub/review-2/review-oculus-go

Of course, but sometimes it’s not possible to control when you’re filming yourself and don’t have the benefit of listening through headphones while it’s being recorded. I’m losing faith in the Rode Videomic Pro + and will probably switch back to lapels soon because of this 👍
wow that was with the little shotgun mic? I am shocked, honestly. Keep up the vids- I love them and you are so knowledgeable and talented. The most valuable resource in the 360 community, for sure.
No 180 camera will have decent stabilization (at least not what we’re used to from 360 cams) as a full 360 field of view is required to predict the surrounding pixels to move around when there’s camera shake. With the qoocam in 180 mode, it turns off the back lens to enter 180 mode so unfortunately the same rules apply.
And then there is the other perspective.... That the detailed early backer complaints about the poor design of the base plate are what inspired KanDao to look into fixing the design flaw before releasing the QooCam to retail channels. I was one of the early backers who's base plate failed. Not from swinging the camera over my head as you depict and the CEO of KanDao intimated... But by simply taking a 15 minute walk with the camera connected to the factory selfie stick (and adapter) around a city block. Normal light use that should not have caused a failure which could have completely damaged the camera or lost it, if say, I happened to be on a boat or walking on a cliff or driving in a car with the selfie stick out the window. Disappointed you would not see the value of our valid complaints Mr. Ben... Not about apps or software, but this design flaw, which is occurring every day amongst the first batch of 1600 QooCam backers. It needed to be addressed, and would not have been, so quickly, without some very loud, yet fair complaints from people like me.
Hey- totally get you, although it seems like only a very small percentage of people that had that issue, from what sounds like a bad batch. Of course feedback is necessary to improving it, but like I said, basically all 360 cameras experience these kinds of issues in the early days after release unfortunately. This is the risk you take as an early backer.. the camera design hasn’t been road tested by the masses yet and there’s a much higher chance of things going wrong. Sucks I know.
Ben, simply look at the photos posted of the design of that offset tripod mount in the base plate. Having the 1/4 20 threaded female socket all the way to one side of the base necessarily places all of the stress on the opposite side of the plate. There are no fasteners on the opposite side of the 1/4 20 socket. There are only two very under sized (tiny) screws which are sunk into a plastic fitting and are situated right next to the socket. The base plates that have not yet failed, will fail soon.... It is an engineering certainty. This is why I demanded they redesign the base plate before they sent me a replacement. I have received assurances that is exactly what will happen. So it is a good thing for the future of the QooCam.
I understand what you’re saying.. I’m just saying not all early units were faulty like yours. I even asked and they told me they designed it this way to fit more battery into the handle without making it longer, so it’s not as simple as just moving the thread, they’d have to redesign the entire camera to get the thread centered. Instead they’re just going to make damn sure it doesn’t come loose with a stronger attachment for all future cameras.
I am not suggesting they move the 1/4 20 threaded tripod socket. What I am saying is larger and more screws need to be used to fasten the plate securely. Specifically on the opposite side of that offset socket.
@9:30 would hold weight if it's "yes" to these two points: 1.) did you pay for the Qoocam? If it was comp’d, you might not care. 2.) is it the only 360 camera you own? (no, wait, you showed off a s%*load at 1:45 in this video.) Even if you did pay for the Qoocam you're showcasing, you might sing a different tune in your impression if you limited yourself to only using the Qoocam for all your videos over the next few months. Try and see if you don't gripe a bit. Some people don’t have other 360 cameras to fall back on. I didn't have an unreal expectation. Before i committed to it, I messaged Kandao and asked directly if i'd be able to use it as advertised on an upcoming trip and if it would arrive in time. They said yes to both and therefore i purchased through Indiegogo. Sure, i would have waited until the end of the year if i wasn't mislead some.
Hi Rob, sorry to hear about your experience. Yes I have lots of cameras obviously.. but I worked very hard and saved up for them.. very rarely do I get a freebie. I give my time and money for free to buy these cameras and provide the most accurate and professionally made reviews possible to help others with their buying decisions, it’s not like everything is handed to me on a silver platter. However after owning so many cameras by now I can tell you that none of them were released where they were fully capable of doing everything that was advertised.. normally it takes a few weeks at least for firmware updates to get the cameras to that point. Sure it’s annoying but it’s not just the Qoocam. The benefit of this, is that each of these cameras also becomes infinitely better than what was originally promised due to firmware and app updates months down the line. So it’s one of those things where you’ve gotta take the good with the bad. Enjoy your holiday!
All understandable. My point is you might feel dogged if this was the only camera you had to use for your videos and the makers point blank told you it was good-to-go in the specific areas you asked about before buying. If i'd have been told by Kandao that it wouldn't be set i would have purchased something like the Insta360 One for the same price that is serving what it advertises. As for things becoming better than originally promised due to firmware and app updates, they also become better when buyers point out flaws. I was tired of seeing repeated comments about DHL shipping charges, but i understood where people were coming from. If you're sick of seeing the complaints in the facebook group that is because you're confusing criticism with complaints and as Ace Hood points out in Hustle Hard, "Closed mouths don't get fed."
@@BenClaremont I don't think so. The main place where you could see the movies and pictures, your tv stopped 3d 1-2 years ago. We will see but is hard to make every tv manufacture to start make 3d tv's again.

my tripod rotates the head up and down... dont they all do?. it would remove a bit of the tripod legs too... could have a tripod adapter (with extra battery?) to accommodate that angle... it would cause trouble with the nice table stand

So at this point, youd still recommend the insta360? I was looking for buying a 360 primarily for in car video (race cars and would like to review video from different angles to reflect on position)
Check out my third last video- that goes over my top 10 picks (of which qoocam will be in very soon)
Just paint it pink and when you mount it on your head you can go around saying you're a unicorn!
Brilliant
Thank you Ben. I am looking forward to your full review
👍👍👍
is it possible to produce an analygraph red/blue image and watch it in 3d with red/blue 3d glasses?
Teething issues, for sure. Having played with 360 on the Xiaomi and Theta, the immersive capabilities of 180 are what makes this soo much more engaging (for now). Technology never stands still so this camera can only get better and as you note with the GoPro it started from a dodgy base and has since matured into a great product.
The samples I have seen from various 180 VR cameras are most engaging. Think there is lots more to come from this technology. Would advise anyone to view it through a VR headset though.. the results are pretty amazing.
Agreed!
What do you recommend at this price point
See my recent camera comparison 👍
Welcome to the MVP world! :) love my Qoocam! :)
Nice

Hi, cool video, I'm Iooking for a software that would create a depth map from a 180° video, can the Qoocam software export the depth map of a video or is it just photos ?
Yo. I'm new to the 360 world, how do you make the video of you coming down the stairs well? How do you spin the footage round?
Check out my other videos about tiny planets :)
@@BenClaremont thanks for the reply, I think I may have watched it. I can make tiny planets however I don't know how you move the viewers angle like you did on the stairwell scene
I didn’t move the angle, the camera moved. Check out my other tiny planet vids- there’s more than enough info there to show you how it’s done 👍
I downloaded your samples, but no idea how to view this 3D stereo image in the oculus go. Kind of curious to see it in there. Any clue on how to view it there?
Hmm I haven’t used the Go too much.. I watch them through the qoocam app on my phone. Let me know if you find a way!
Hi Ben, is it possible to watch the 3d-shots on a 3d-tv-set with 3d-goggles (side by side)
thx in advance
Cool
Hmm not sure.. that would be cool though
it is possible, we have supported the format on Qoocam Studio.
for convenient vr and sharing with people get an oculus go ....or way better when it's out the oculus quest ....or a cheap winmr headset for a pc/laptop if u have something like at least a gtx 1060 video card
👍
180 sound quite interesting. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be available in Spain
Really- did you follow the link in the description to their store?
How did you do the video effect at 3:10? Is that reframing done by the Qoocam software?
All of those were done in Premiere- I have a tutorial about that 👍
love this sort of cameras having 180 3d and 360 2d is awesome as far as price to performance ....until one day we get great 360 3d for a good price
Agreed
Thank you for your information Ben
No worries buddy
Nice video Ben! Great to know more about the Qoocam... it could be a contender to replace my broken Mi Sphere (if they fix everything in updates).
My inner pedant requires that I clear up 180 vs 360 though... 180 doesn't necessarily mean 3D, and 360 doesn't necessarily mean 2D. You could have monoscopic 180, and you can have stereoscopic 360 (i.e. the Vuze/Vuze+). But anyway! You know this really, because you have the Vuze. :)
Thanks David- yes of course there’s a difference between 3D and 180.. I use them interchangeably but I think you get what I mean 😉
Just use the cross eyed method of viewing 3d content... basically the same thing as tricking your eyes with lenses.
How much does it currently cost? And for those of us with VR headsets, we could handle a VR sample video.
Hi Ted, $470 right now and samples are in the description 👍
@@BenClaremont thank you
What you think about Wunder S1 360 camera from Indiegogo ?
No thoughts yet, will try to get my hands on it 👍
Did you have magic eye books when you were kid? So there is simple trick that i use, two images side by side, make crosseyes and then in the middle you will see third 3D image. And this is how you can show us that images :D
Ah yes I remember those- I could never do it properly 😅
Yea, just try to hold pictures about 20cm from your face, make crosseyes and then third full 3d image will appear in the middle :) little exercise and you will get it.
Works on a phone, harder on a monitor ;)
Thank you
Man your new Studio is looking Sick

The link for samples goes to the baseball cap page.
No it doesn’t
It's already over 6 month since you make the review of these camera. Is there any performance improvement of these camera right now? Rgds
Yes check out the Facebook group :)
Depth mapping and refocusing in post? Lytro did that real well. Too bad they stoped their support.
They went out of business unfortunately.. they were too far ahead of technology for their own good lol. But yes it’s a similar principle.
Ben Claremont that’s a bummer. Last I heard they were focusing (pardon the pun) on Cinematic cameras for the film industry. I went to there site and I’ll looks like the sold their light field technology to raytrix.de
of course you can show. Process them in 3d SBS video and upload on youtube
What’s sbs video?
side-by-side, so [ Left | Right ]
Devide your video is two halfs, and put the left video in the left and the right on from the right lense on the right.
Sounds interesting 👍
if you like, send me a sample and I will try to make it.
I love my Qoocam and can't wait to see what it becomes with future updates.
Likewise 👍
Too bad 180 died. I hope after oculus and Facebook 180 comes back
I've just ordered my qoocam on Amazon for just 370 usd. Too early? I had watched your video (and some other ones), but the flash offer was just too tempting. What do you say, good buy?
Congrats on your channel, btw. Keep it up!
Good buy!
Vuze XR had like same features and 5K resolution.
NCS Music and Remixes But so bad in lowlight and don’t have raw, manual settings, as I see
Ben
I like your videos.
So many great inappropriate jokes come to mind 🤣
Bring on those sound baffles =D
soooooooo many
3d image capturing only ? Not 3d vdo capturing?
Yes 3D video
like to see the improvement like my favorite game "No Man's Sky", they are continuously developing since launch and the comments are changing from dislike to recommended now
Agreed.. it’s getting better every day :)
Ben! You should try an Oculus Go to really make the most of all this 360 (and especially VR180) content. When done well, VR180 (in video) can be a completely different thing from 360. Thanks again for the informative review.
Thanks Iain, I’ve been meaning to play with my Oculus Go some more! Will get on it ASAP
There's a really nice way to make a narrated 360° slideshow on the Oculus Go. It's in my article here: www.macprovideo.com/hub/review-2/review-oculus-go

Gotta work on that sound quality, Ben. Love the channel and all the info!
Does this camera have stabilization when it is in 3d video mode?
No 180 camera will have decent stabilization (at least not what we’re used to from 360 cams) as a full 360 field of view is required to predict the surrounding pixels to move around when there’s camera shake. With the qoocam in 180 mode, it turns off the back lens to enter 180 mode so unfortunately the same rules apply.
Who made the "little boxes' remix? I'd love to hear that full track.
Birocratic.. so good!
Specifically on the opposite side of that offset socket.
because you think they have put the hole in the trippy out of phase ... is not this annoying?
What do you mean?
Excuse my English ... I mean the hole in the bottom where you screw the sticks, is not in the center, if not on the side, why did they do that?
I explained that- so they can fit more battery
I see all the video, but my english is not very good, thanks for taking the time and sharing
👍
Lg dis 3d camera looong time ago. I love 3d sooo much. I hate that it didn't catch.
It’s still early days, it will catch on 👍

Why can some people upload VR 180 3D videos and you can't?
I never said I couldn’t
@@BenClaremont True. You sort of implied it. At 4:25. It sounded that way at least, but listening again, you do say "without a headset", as if it was a given that we don't have one. I do, and I've seen some test videos for this camera on RUclips already. I'm interested in VR 180 3D. VR 360 2D is flat and boring, and pointless if you ask me. Thanks for the video anyway, good to have an opinion, which seems fair and balanced. I agree, there's gonna be flaws at first. I guess I'll wait a few months...

That’s what I meant!
That flipping should have stopped at 45degrees saving the hand to appear in the 3d180
Although that would make it exclusively a handheld camera, and not usable with tripods (unless you want to look at the sky!)
my tripod rotates the head up and down... dont they all do?. it would remove a bit of the tripod legs too... could have a tripod adapter (with extra battery?) to accommodate that angle... it would cause trouble with the nice table stand
