75%?? I think not ma’am. I need a full refund AND you’d be getting a bad review.
Exactly. She'd be refunding every cent.
No,no, no explanations. You screwed up. Refund the entire amount. You blew it.
exactly!!!!!!
Right.
Mom and sis weren’t the client; the bride was.
Even if someone else is paying for it, you don’t make changes to a written order without confirmation from whoever signed the contract or order.
Especially troubling with food items, when allergies could be involved.
Baker should just admit they allowed themself to be bullied by “friends” who only wanted their own way.
Absolutely NEVER use vendors that are friends of the family. I'm not saying never use vendors that are YOUR friends. I'm saying never, ever use vendors who are friends of your family - they will never have your best interests at heart. They will be easily swayed by the family member whose friend they actually are, and your own wishes will be tossed out. This isn't just for weddings, but for any other event that you need to contract providers for.
The baker is definitely wrong as you don't make a cake based on how the mom told you to make it especially after having a discussion with the bride who gave you a photo of what she wanted the cake to look like. Again, the baker should have contacted the bride to verify any changes being made. The baker screwed up & the bride should not have to pay for it. The mom & sister should as it was THEIR cake, not the bride & groom's.
I know it's a lot to ask, but I need the scene where bride confronts her sister and mom about this. The baker blew it, but if mom thinks she having anything to do with any more parties or events including grandkid stuff, she's out of her mind.
That "gulp" at 0:20.
Yes, you Will take 75% off that Incorrect cake. However you Now Will make my husband and I a small cake, that looks like what I Actually ordered And it Will be for Free!
NO WAY, 100% OFF THAT CAKE, THEY SCREWED UP, THEY HAVE TO DO THE FULL REFUND.
@@fukushuu_baraAnd make another correct cake free of charge!
I was screaming at my screen "Call the bride! Call the briiiiiide!!!!"
It’s so sad because the baker has a personal relationship with her family and now that’s been so tarnished. 😢
Perhaps ruined is a better word! The trust has been lost - and I would be having conversations with Mom and sister!
@@sandybruce9092 I think that relationship is ruined too. They put her in the situation. Granted she should have double checked with the bride.
@@sandybruce9092Yes, mom & sis need a hefty dose of verbal whoopass.
So her mother and sister told the baker that they knew the bride better than the bride knew herself. Why do people drag that kind of thing up? It's stupid. NO ONE knows you better than you know yourself. And apparently the bride was allergic to strawberries, as she mentioned that she couldn't even eat it. Gosh, I wonder if her mom and sister knew about that.
Let me be the first to say, PASSWORD!
100% refund or I will see you in court would have been my response
Don't blame the baker, blame the mother and sister.
Blame them both dude, this isn’t an either or situation.
Never never never do business with one of your Mom’s friends. I grew out my hair a little (Mom liked pixie cuts) to get a shag haircut (the early 70’s it was a thing) I even had a picture. I came out with a pixie cut 🤬 Mom’s friend was the hairdresser.
NO SURPRISES !!!!
