Thanks for the video! Just put on this spoiler. I used the Turner Motorsports method of installing per their video but used your tips of adding more VHB tape and the trigger clamps to keep those edges down. We'll see how it holds up! Getting the backing off the tape was the hardest part. I found that a small precision flathead screwdriver worked well to initially separate the backing.
The cat on the "cat pillow" is literally staring at the spoiler the whole time you're introducing it. Hilarious. I definitely like the decision to paint it. On such a contrasting color, would stand out too much if left unpainted IMHO. Nice job!
Nicely done. Love the paint color match modification. I really enjoy your videos. Learning quite a few things given my ownership with the SOM M2 Comp is fairly new.
Was there any positive impact on your times on the track? Anecdotally, do you feel it was an enhancement for performance, not just looks? Looks great btw. Really completes the back end of the car.
Hey when you got it repainted which is what I’m about to do does the body shop remove the double sided tape that comes with the piece or do they work around it?

I already said it looks awesome on the forums but I will say it again, looks awesome!
Thanks!

Haha, glad you picked up on that! My sister-in-law got me that a few years ago and your comment made her day!
That looks really nice. If I didn’t have a genuine M Performance spoiler on my M2, I would’ve gotten this.
Did this on my m2 competition, spent about 1000 total include oversea shipping but i like it.

Thanks! Congrats on your new ride too! It's a great car to learn.
thanks for the video. just picked up my M2C yesterday after 5 month wait.
Congrats on the new ride! That's some wait (I had to wait the same amount of time for my 328d Wagon)!
I had PPF installed on my high kick spoiler. Looks great after 15 months on.
Now that's a smart idea! Thanks for letting me know how it's holding up!

If there's any improvement I'm sure it's subtle. Not enough to make me as fast as some as some of the talented guys out there, hahaha.
Nice job...I am looking for big wing. Team Schirmer or M235i Racing not decided yet.
There’s also the M2 CS Racing wing which is cheaper than the M235iR wing.
@@usernamealreadytaken770 Yeah, but I prefer bigger wing. HAHA
Great review I did the same for my e92

Suggest trying mono-fishing line. It's MUCH stronger than dental floss.
Would this cover the break light on the center trunk edge for the f23 convertibles?
Unfortunately it would cover your brake light. It isn't recommended for F23s.
@@FaRKle0079 I found alternative that can work, but thanks.
How did they do the colour match? Did you leave the car with them?
I had a local shop paint match my spoiler. They had the car there to get the match right.
How much did it cost to have it painted?
In the Bay Area it was about $350.
Painting the Cf really changes the look of the spoiler. Looks less off putting.
