If I close my eyes I can still see the four halo rings burned into my retinas - all worth it for anything E46! Thanks a million for the great videos! Headlight lens restoration next video?
This video reminded me of when I was 19 and would go to the Chinatown here in Los Angeles and score parts for my Accord. And run home, and without any idea what I was doing, installed all the weird mods at the time. Which was pretty much adding blue lights all over the car and a huge fake carbon fiber wing.... Those were such good times...
I really love the idea of using the copper wire to tie the odd connectors together and using two shrink insulators to hold it together. I need to have a 240 v receptacle for my clothes dryer and I am going to use this idea to tie two 120 v wires together to make it work. Thanks DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT DOING THIS, YOU SHOULD NOT DO THIS BECAUSE I AM JOKING.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with strings all over the place when using the hot glue gun. Extra points for not burning the bejesus out of yourself!
Very interesting indeed. I forget what year the BMW is. That Bosch wiring can be a bugger to work with. For some weird reason, Bosch multiplexed the wiring, so the whole system works off feedback. That is why I have been so careful on my 90 Volvo. Have to watch some years, as Bosch had the bright idea to use biodegradable insulation. Lucas is the lighting company that invented darkness. Bosch merely refined it.
Nice. Using a torch in the DME box was slightly terrifying. A heat gun is your friend for heat shrink. Those angel eyes are so bright you might not know for awhile If one of your new HIDs fails.
Hi I've got the rgb's one and they only have 1 red and 1 black wires comming from the rgb controller unit little box wich the 4 angel eyes get connecting to Any suggestions on where to wire and how, so they stay workin when engine is workin ? Thanks
I cringed when I saw the way you connected the wire to the factory crimp. There were a few ways to have done it properly. The lights do look good, the install not so good. I hope you have or will go fix it.
Jake, the comment section is loving every thing that you are doing! Keep up the great work, Jake.
Its the wrenching and track stuff
He added a lot more of that to his channel its seems.
Plus him filming himself working on cars he got better at.
@@vikingman4614 Agreed, Viking Man!

I recommend a paperclip and some duct tape. Maybe electrical tape if you're feeling spicy.

Those halos are brighter than my future lol
Yeah same.

I had a dang heat gun five feet away but didn't remember its existence. Sigh.
Those halos are brighter than my regular headlights!

Jealous of how easy those headlights were to disassemble. If the hot glue doesn't hold up in the summer, clear window silicone worked for me!!
I need those cables that connect to the bat
Well, this video sure was en- *light*- ening
It sure brightened my day
@elliott alvis it for sure brightens than anyone else’s future lol
Do you know how to turn off turn the turn signal so it’s just the angle eyes on ???
Can you give me the link for buying it? Thanks, great video!
Makes it sooooo much easier to see the deer you're about to hit.
