I bought this one with subwoofer for $130 at Sam's Club and my god it's pretty good. Never owned a sound bar before and I was on a little bit of a budget. Pretty good.
Found one on Facebook for $30. I'll go get it and see how it is with my Panasonic 55" Viera plasma TV. I've never had a soundbar and don't know what it's like to have improved sound. I don't watch movies so this basic model will do fine I think.
I like cnet reviews. However, I've watched a lot of sound bar reviews lately - mostly Sony, Klipsch, Yamaha, Pioneer, etc.. Why does it seem like nearly every sound bar review says that sound bars are not good for music, but in their review, they say that the sound bar they are reviewing handles music better than most other sound bars? At 1:10. "Most sound bars can't do music, but the Vizio can". Seriously, every cheap (budget) sound bar can't possibly handle music better than most other sound bars.
Could you PLEASE review the "Nakamichi Shockwafe Ultra 9.2" soundbar system. It was currently the #1 rated soundbar in CES 2018 for price and sound quality. Im sure everyone would love to see your thoughts on it.
I have this Vizio sound bar I use just for the upstairs tv that dosnt have a surround sound hocked up to it unlike are downstairs setup but I figured just for the causal music or tv watching it'll do the job witch it dose but here's the problem I've found. Pro - it's good for content like music and its Bluetooth technology is good for anyone that want to link up and play there music for tv use its okay get the job done. Con - if you plan to use it to watch your movies or play your games don't it's bad not ment for that you don't get the true fidelity with this it's awful with a 5.1 mix. Get it if you just wanna use it for music or tv watching. Don't get it for movies or games.
Ok actually found out by accident trying this out on my console this soundbar actually can play surround with your games. As I was playing a game on my console, one of the characters that was talking to me I heard them talking through the back speakers as I turned away from them. There was also another moment where there was a low rumbling noise and the subwoofer responded accordingly. I wasn't expecting it in the slightest but I'm excited to try this out again.
I use my SB4051-CO for games and it does a great job of 5.1 surround sound. The audio rotates around with the picture view, this sound bar simply rocks!
Nasty Piglet Yes. Make the soundbar bluetooth pair-able via remote or using the buttons on the speaker by holding it down, pair via iPhone and it should automatically switch to that specific input.
We have 3 Vizio sound bars. These are awesome. Sure if you want to spend hundreds more you can get better, but he's right. This sound bar performs like a 4 to 500 dollar sound bar. Music sounds great, the 5 inch sub somehow inexplicably shakes my open concept living room with high ceilings. Amazing.
KingLord use the HDMI ARC, that will allow you to change the volume with tv remote and will turn bar off with tv remote. My LG 4K OLED remote will turn on tv but not turn on SB4051-CO sound bar, only volume and off. That’s better than nothing when it comes to cross brand functionality.
Realistically, $150 isn't crazy cheap. If you want to save money and still have decent sound, buy a 3-piece computer speaker system (with subwoofer). These can be bought for as little as $25 or so and sound great with lots house shaking bass when needed.
That is crazy cheap for good sound with a wireless sub. Your suggestion although cheap, would give bad sound, have no remote so you have to go up to the speaker to change the sound every time. Won't have a wireless sub. The sub will have to be placed next to the speakers since it supplies the power. Plus it wont have bluetooth and the sub will probably be 3 inches and sound like shit in a large room. There is always cheap work arounds for electronics but you generally sacrifice a lot.
craig2web It sounds great because you're sitting right in from of it, try placing it next to a 40 inch tv or larger and sitting 6-10 feet away and get back to me with how it sounds 😑
rbaile508, Actually, this is the setup I have and it sounds great. Remote not needed because the speakers are plugged directly into the TV - TV's volume controls the speakers volume, so I don't need a separate remote. No bluetooth, but not a factor for me.
My parents bought this and I hate it. Highs are harsh and bass is boomy. I don't understand the hype. Save your money and get something better. You get what you pay for.
I bought a vizio smart 4k/hdr p series display not that long ago, and every now and then, it will automatically turn off and after a short while, turn itself back on. This is especially frustrating when I'm online gaming! Anybody care to give any input to a fix or did I just waste my money. Hope not, because the picture this display outputs is very nice. I'm here looking for reviews for a vizio soundbar and figured I'll ask.
Theatrejunkie94 music on this is good and get the sub you'll love it for music. Games and movies no it sounds awful maybe for tv watching it be good as well but movies and games no
@@ryans413 I've seen you on a lot of other comments and I don't think you know what you're talking about or don't truly know the product. This speaker/sub combo is just 150-190 and it's great for what you get. Gaming on it is great and so is watching movies.
I got this sound at several weeks ago and absolutely love it. Great sound.
I got the SB3651-E8 one for like $150 back in 2020. My new V51-H6 is $188.
I bought this one with subwoofer for $130 at Sam's Club and my god it's pretty good. Never owned a sound bar before and I was on a little bit of a budget. Pretty good.
Demetri Tzoumas how is it working now?
Hi , you can see some surround effect with netflix?
Included wall mount is easy to install. Subwoofer performs surprisingly well for its size. Great package.

What's the difference between this one and the SB3621n-H8?
igot an old Vizio 3.0 sound bar. its still a beast!
Which model number is it?
Amazing performance for games, music, and movies. I've tried bluetooth and optical cable both work flawlessly. Thanks cnet.
I got this one love it But was wondering if I could add on more speakers
Looney Ink I think you can it has Bluetooth do some reach I'm not too sure

I am actually looking for a good speaker system to play my turntable and hear the right sounds. I am tired of looking at reviews... I GIVE UP.
I'm sure there are better but this one handles music well

No hdmi?
What about for gaming ? I'm in the market for a cheap(ish) sound bar for dedicated game and movies. No cable or satellite. Everything streamed.
Ryan White do you care about true surround sound in games if not then get it it be nice a loud for your games

Should I buy amazon echo or a dedicated speaker
Sadiq Yusuf Lawal unless you are planning to make a smart home, buy a dedicated speaker
does it have a cinema mode for movies
bruce e it has a DTS True mode yes and loud mode for quiet scenes.
Hello, can you easily link this to an apple iphone and stream music from spotify?
Nasty Piglet Yes. Make the soundbar bluetooth pair-able via remote or using the buttons on the speaker by holding it down, pair via iPhone and it should automatically switch to that specific input.
Sweet:-) Thanks Ibuprofen!
I got this because of this review.
Ummm... It's amazing.
I'm trusting whatever CNET reviews forever.

Wish I could get one of these for a similar price in Europe :/
But it blocks the tv's remote signal path.
I have a vizio tv & it freezes & crashes all the time
How does a TV crash?
ICan'tFindMyGlasses it won’t turn off & then restarts
Ivan Vasquez the tv’s aren’t the best but i wouldn’t know because I have a Sony tv

craig2web shut up, you pc guys are the worst.

gabriel, please take your own advice. And BTW, I don't use Windows but the Chrome OS.
My parents bought this and I hate it. Highs are harsh and bass is boomy. I don't understand the hype. Save your money and get something better. You get what you pay for.
This or the Yamaha y207?
Yamaha YAS 207 or newer 209 is usually rated higher...more expensive tho.

I got mines for $99
Bro, Where you get it from ?
Another video maker obsessed with Visuals but never goes past 2 Audio tracks. So we never hear it. Thanks.
But I mean this should be better for music at home than a $150 portable Bluetooth speaker right???
Theatrejunkie94 a million times better
Theatrejunkie94 yes it will definitely it can shake the room

how about saying the details of the product, like how many watts for christ sake... probably a Lannister
Considering you can buy an entire t.v. for $300 it's not soooo cheap, I mean, it is cheap, but comparatively speaking
This guy lives in Alaska and still owns a flat screen tube tv.
Get powered monitors speakers instead 100 times better than this.
Matts Channel do they support Dolby Digital?
👍
hi im alyssa
hi alyssa
Nah.

This soundbar sucks. Stopped working
For those that also think McDonald's make amazing burgers.
