With NFU policy India highlights it's strong responsiblity and Ethical Standards. Nuclear armaments are our strength but not single option . In current era India is leading with its diplomatic and economic policies.

The criticism isn't valid, as the concept of credible minimum deterrence is still relevant today.
As nuclear weapons states including India are getting more powerful it has become very clear that any use of nuclear weapons can cause a global problem. This is evident from the fact that in the ongoing Russia - Ukraine war even though Russia raised a spectre of using nuclear weapon, it wasn't able to stop the war.
Nuclear taboo as a norm against use of nuclear weapon is still relevant.
U.S. president Ronald Reagan and Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev too declared that a nuclear war can never be won and must never be fought.

Particularly in context of this issue revision of policy may be done in consideration of current diplomatic issues I think India should exercise its diplomatic and collaborative approach no first policy may be maintained with status quo
