    On August 26, 1982 the summit was a big cornice so I think I was higher than you were. Interesting factoid....Assiniboine is the highest point of the entire Saskatchewan river basin and the highest point in Banff National Park. Nice video, thanks

      I don't even live close to the area but out of interest I memorized the elevation of the summit: 3618 meters above sea level.

    At 11:06 I don't see any carabiner you can repel off of? Or is it the two non locking ones?

      Hi, there are 4 bolted rappel stations, that we used on our way down. sorry for the late reply.

    My son, 29 years old, fell to his death on his way down after climbing Mount Assiniboine on July 6, 2023. 😢

      😢 My condolences. Mountains have both passion and heartbreaking aspects. I hope that your son experienced so many joyful moments climbing, and I’m sorry that this resulted in heartbreak for you and your family 😢
