My copy is coming soon!!!! I can’t wait!! This will break into my top ten FOR SURE! Best KS I’ve backed yet! Thanks for helping me build my collection Tom. You’re the only reviewer I trust
I cant wait to receive my copy as well! Im pretty excited to try this one! It does look beautiful and those gears are great looking. They almost sold me on the Kickstarter themselves
I wouldn't say it scales oddly - there's certainly less conflict right away and more exploration in a 2-player game, with the 4-player game ramping up quicker. That said, many moons ago when I designed it, the game was specifically made to play well with 2 players, because at the time I played one-on-one a lot. So nothing is lost at 2 players.
@@ChrisLeder Thanks, Chris - honored I got a reply from the designer. :) I play mostly with my wife, so the two player experience is something I am looking for. This game looks really cool and if you say it was designed to work well with 2, I'm all over it. On the Santa list!
I've always liked mechanisms that prevent you from knowing exactly when a game ends. I think that "last-turn strategy" is one of the biggest immersion breakers for me.
As much as I like it, uncertain endings are also often lamented for being anticlimactic, though that depends on the game(and player). What do you think separates exciting uncertain endings from anticlimactic ones?

Are those stickers on the gears?! Sam is gonna throat punch somebody. Haha.
If it helps, they're pre-stickered at the factory
Any game that makes me roll dice is a big NO!
