Please do not call him a Rabbi, he is not a Rabbi. You can’t just hang out a shingle and say you are a Rabbi. He is a pastor, not a Rabbi, and he is reading from the KJV, which is filled with mistranslations, and when some thing is full of mistranslations, you can’t learn the truth of the Torah. You cannot take one sentence out of an entire page of Jewish scripture and use that as the basis of your argument. In the Jewish Scriptures, the messages do not skip around, they go in order. And the apostles were not prophets, The only prophets are in the Jewish Scriptures.
And please cite your sources about the eastern orthodox rabbi that converted from Judaism to Christianity because he “saw the light” in this particular passage. Unless you can cite a source, you are not believable. What was this man’s name, and what city was his congregation? And what rabbinical college did he go to? Unless you answer these questions you are just talking without proof.If Jesus even approached the holy of holy ‘s, since he was not of the Levites, he would never have even been allowed near the area of the sacrifice in the Temple. Yeah, no sacrifice because there is no temple. Jews do not believe in human sacrifice. And in the Torah it says that in Scriptures not one letter may be omitted and not one letter may be added. You glued the New Testament onto the back of the old testament, how about you glue the book of Mormon onto the New Testament, how would you react to that? And then maybe another generation will tack on another book to the book of Mormon. The Jewish Scriptures do not grow. If the 70th week is still in the future, why did Jesus say "THE TIME IS FULFILLED" in Mark 1:15 ? . ALL 6 events that Daniel prophesied are FULFILLED ... . 1. Hi Jonathan, I believe the decree of Trump to move the US Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem on Israel's 70th Anniversary of Independence is declaring the year of Christ's return for His bride. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been proclaiming this Seventy Sevens prophecy or 490 year prophecy of Daniel from decree of King Artaxerxes to restore Jerusalem to Messiah - since the early 1800s. Joseph Wolf, a Jew who lived in the 1800s also taught this prophecy. Their calculation is a little bit different to yours because the 490 years finishes with the stoning of Stephen and the Gospel going out to the Gentiles - but nevertheless God has more than one way of reckoning a Messianic prophecy depending on whether you use a 365 days calendar or the 360 days prophetic reckoning. So many Evangelicals are missing out with the prophecy because they looking for the physical temple, the physical sanctuary. Jesus is already in the Holies of holies in the heavenly sanctuary. Remember what Jesus said? the kingdom of God cannot be observe with the eyes! Most christians waiting for the temple to be rebuild, why? cause they dont read the scriptures. so they looking for physical things. Whats Trump to do with this prophecy? Not really sure.

Based on Matthew 10:5-7, and Romans 1:16, and Galatians 1:14-18, the Gospel was taken "first" to Daniel's people for a period of about seven years, before Paul took the Gospel to the Gentiles. This was the 70th week of Daniel during the first century. .
I think the Rabbi purposely omit the second part of the prophecy cause it is a sad prophecy for his people indeed. but you are correct, the gospel went to the gentiles when the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah after the stoning of Stephen, then the gospel went into all the world as Jesus commanded his disciples.
BUT Daniel’s 70th week addressed in this talk. Perhaps it will be addressed in another upcoming video. The church needs a correct understanding concerning the 70th week that is yet to come, and what happens during those 2,520 last days.
I believe that the last seven years will start on Shavuot/Pentecost 2024. The proof will be Isaiah 17:1-3 KJV Jeremiah 49:23-27 KJV and Revelation 6:1,2 KJV. Awesome message from the Rabbi.
the last 7 years already up. we are in the probation time line. Read the three angels message in Revelation. Remember what Jesus said about Noah? People said it took Noah 120 years to build the ark. of course, that is the general idea, but God could just easily build that ark as he did with creation, not 120 years. But God gave a chance for people to repent, 120 years of them. So Jesus said, it would be just like that during this generation. We are the Laodicean Church, neither hot or cold. Once probation close, Jesus will come any day now.
I respectfully disagree with Brother Jonathan that the decree mentioned in Dan 9 is the one issued in 457 BC. I think the correct one is the one issued in 444 BC (Neh. 2:1-9), as that is the one that concerns the rebuilding of the wall. Also the Bible goes by a 360 day year, so you can’t just add up 483 years from the year of the decree. You must first convert the biblical years to 365.25 day Julian years in order to calculate what year the messiah would be cut off. 483 biblical years = 476 Julian years. 476 years from 444 BC = 33 AD. The prophecy of Daniel 9 indicates that messiah would be cut off (killed) in 33 AD. The 457 BC decree doesn’t fit, because even if one were to assume that the 483 years Gabriel was referring to were Julian years (and thus no need for converting before calculating), and even if you hold the view that Jesus began his ministry in 26 AD and was crucified in 30 AD, the prophecy of Daniel 9 states that he would be CUT OFF at the end of the 69 weeks, not that he would be revealed / begin his ministry at the end of 69 weeks.

Where in the Bible does it assign those values and meaning to the numbers? It doesn't, this is coming from your thinking. Rabbi Cahn has explained this in a crystal clear manner that requires no such assigning of arbitrary values...only other scriptures.
No...the decree came exactly on March 14th 445 B.C. according to archeologists who have read the written record of Artaxerxes. If you do the math, add 116 days for leap years, and realize that 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. is only one year , you will end up at April 6th 32 A.D. . Jesus makes reference to this 69 sevens in Luke's account of the Triumphal entry when He cried out "If you, even you , had known WHAT DAY THIS IS, and the things that make for peace..."
Cyrus' decree is found twice in Scripture. Why? It is found in its historical place at the beginning of Ezra. However it is also found as the very last words of Chronicles. Why did Ezra/Nehemiah repeat Cyrus' words at the end of Chronicles, which is in the Hebrew Bible the last book of the OT? Because by repeating it there, it shows that the 483 years bridge the time period between the closing of the OT and the start of the NT. From Cyrus' decree until the birth of Christ are 483 years.

Brother Chan Jesus was cut off in the midst of the week and there are only 3 and1/2 years of determined time left of the 70th of Daniel. We are now in chronological time until Israel as a nation accepts Jesus as the Jewish Messiah.

Please do not call him a Rabbi, he is not a Rabbi. You can’t just hang out a shingle and say you are a Rabbi. He is a pastor, not a Rabbi, and he is reading from the KJV, which is filled with mistranslations, and when some thing is full of mistranslations, you can’t learn the truth of the Torah. You cannot take one sentence out of an entire page of Jewish scripture and use that as the basis of your argument. In the Jewish Scriptures, the messages do not skip around, they go in order. And the apostles were not prophets, The only prophets are in the Jewish Scriptures.
And please cite your sources about the eastern orthodox rabbi that converted from Judaism to Christianity because he “saw the light” in this particular passage. Unless you can cite a source, you are not believable. What was this man’s name, and what city was his congregation? And what rabbinical college did he go to? Unless you answer these questions you are just talking without proof.If Jesus even approached the holy of holy ‘s, since he was not of the Levites, he would never have even been allowed near the area of the sacrifice in the Temple.

You glued the New Testament onto the back of the old testament, how about you glue the book of Mormon onto the New Testament, how would you react to that? And then maybe another generation will tack on another book to the book of Mormon. The Jewish Scriptures do not grow. It is G-d’s word that The Torah begins and ends just the way the scribes wrote it. The magi’s were pagans. The pagan wisemen 😎. It would be gigantic if you could prove that that’s what the countdown means. But that’s not what it means. People that are truly knowledgeable know that. Hi Jonathan, I believe the decree of Trump to move the US Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem on Israel's 70th Anniversary of Independence is declaring the year of Christ's return for His bride. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been proclaiming this Seventy Sevens prophecy or 490 year prophecy of Daniel from decree of King Artaxerxes to restore Jerusalem to Messiah - since the early 1800s. Joseph Wolf, a Jew who lived in the 1800s also taught this prophecy. Their calculation is a little bit different to yours because the 490 years finishes with the stoning of Stephen and the Gospel going out to the Gentiles - but nevertheless God has more than one way of reckoning a Messianic prophecy depending on whether you use a 365 days calendar or the 360 days prophetic reckoning. So many Evangelicals are missing out with the prophecy because they looking for the physical temple, the physical sanctuary. Jesus is already in the Holies of holies in the heavenly sanctuary. Remember what Jesus said? the kingdom of God cannot be observe with the eyes! Based on Matthew 10:5-7, and Romans 1:16, and Galatians 1:14-18, the Gospel was taken "first" to Daniel's people for a period of about seven years, before Paul took the Gospel to the Gentiles.
This was the 70th week of Daniel during the first century.

I think the Rabbi purposely omit the second part of the prophecy cause it is a sad prophecy for his people indeed. but you are correct, the gospel went to the gentiles when the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah after the stoning of Stephen, then the gospel went into all the world as Jesus commanded his disciples.

People said it took Noah 120 years to build the ark. of course, that is the general idea, but God could just easily build that ark as he did with creation, not 120 years. I respectfully disagree with Brother Jonathan that the decree mentioned in Dan 9 is the one issued in 457 BC. I think the correct one is the one issued in 444 BC (Neh. 2:1-9), as that is the one that concerns the rebuilding of the wall. Also the Bible goes by a 360 day year, so you can’t just add up 483 years from the year of the decree. You must first convert the biblical years to 365.25 day Julian years in order to calculate what year the messiah would be cut off.
483 biblical years = 476 Julian years.
476 years from 444 BC = 33 AD.
The prophecy of Daniel 9 indicates that messiah would be cut off (killed) in 33 AD. The 457 BC decree doesn’t fit, because even if one were to assume that the 483 years Gabriel was referring to were Julian years (and thus no need for converting before calculating), and even if you hold the view that Jesus began his ministry in 26 AD and was crucified in 30 AD, the prophecy of Daniel 9 states that he would be CUT OFF at the end of the 69 weeks, not that he would be revealed / begin his ministry at the end of 69 weeks.

The last 7 letters represent the 70th. Week, the 7 year trib. Ayin, first of the 7, has a number value of 70, as in 70 Weeks. No need to rebuild the Temple. He will stand in the Great Synagogue. Here is Wisdom - 70 years - 70 weeks of years - 7 year trib. 49-50. 50 is the final 7.
Where in the Bible does it assign those values and meaning to the numbers? It doesn't, this is coming from your thinking. Rabbi Cahn has explained this in a crystal clear manner that requires no such assigning of arbitrary values...only other scriptures.
No...the decree came exactly on March 14th 445 B.C. according to archeologists who have read the written record of Artaxerxes. If you do the math, add 116 days for leap years, and realize that 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. is only one year , you will end up at April 6th 32 A.D. . Jesus makes reference to this 69 sevens in Luke's account of the Triumphal entry when He cried out "If you, even you , had known WHAT DAY THIS IS, and the things that make for peace..."

Cyrus' decree is found twice in Scripture. Why? It is found in its historical place at the beginning of Ezra. However it is also found as the very last words of Chronicles. Why did Ezra/Nehemiah repeat Cyrus' words at the end of Chronicles, which is in the Hebrew Bible the last book of the OT? Because by repeating it there, it shows that the 483 years bridge the time period between the closing of the OT and the start of the NT. From Cyrus' decree until the birth of Christ are 483 years.

Genesis says the evening and morning were the first day....Daniel 9 says 2300 evening and mornings....every bible translation says 2300 days---so, am I to agree with you ...we are to keep the sabbath day from evening to morning lev, 23 .32....so you are wrong even though you think you are right....the SDA church of 20 million people with 200 years of history and thousands of scholars find their existence based on this passage and you tell me only you know the difference...I appreciate your sense of humor...but sorry! For 490 years, equal to 70 sabbath rest for the land every seventh year, that Israel and Judah transgressed the law of God.
This is why they received seventy years exiled in bondage in the land of Babylon.
There was no gap in their seventy years in exil, and there is no gap in the 490 years of transgressing the law of God, and there most certainly was no gap unto the coming of the Messiah who did not come in a vacuum, but rather confirmed his covenant with many for there and a half years, and in the land of Israel's inheritance.
The stoning of Steven is when probation closed on the covenant that God made with the their fathers, exactly three and a half years after Jesus Christ, our passover was sacrificed for us, and the gospel of the kingdom of heaven went out unto the Gentiles also.
Brother Chan Jesus was cut off in the midst of the week and there are only 3 and1/2 years of determined time left of the 70th of Daniel. We are now in chronological time until Israel as a nation accepts Jesus as the Jewish Messiah.
The jewish people of today are NOT GOD'S people. EVERYONE that accepts the LORD Jesus and have confessed and forsaken their SINS....THESE ARE "THE ISRAEL of GOD". The people over in the middle East today ARE atheists over 90% of those in Israel today, don't even believe in THE GOD of the BIBLE.
