Once QB Chad Kelly went down with the leg injury, the Argonauts should have leaned more on their running attack despite trailing. Ball control. The backup QB read the field slower and held the ball too long, trying to throw deep.
I agree. They’ve hardly used Harris who they seem to be saving for a special occasion. Backup QB needs more snaps to get better. The Stamps were ready to win.
What the league doesn't need is more quarterback injuries. I thought the Argos might still come back in the second half but a novice quarterback couldn't get it going. Good for Stamps.
Toronto made an uncharacteristic mistake on special teams and lost their QB in the first half. Back up QB held the ball too long. They looked bad against a middle of the road team.
Time of possession was 2-1 for Calgary, the Argos had 1 big play, without that play, the Argos had 10 first downs and 143 total yards, can`t win games that way.
