Yeah, I was eagerly waiting for this one.
Definitely hits for me
Not bad at all. good progressive rock song. though it might be too long for the actual match
Just like her original theme lol
The fact that it’s prog may turn some people off, but it’s amazing if that’s your thing. People should do shrooms and loop this in Minecraft.
My exact thoughts for most of these songs. They take to long to get amazing. I'm never gonna hear my favorite parts in match
Because Daisuke makes songs first for his next album, and only then adds the game to it
if it’s not long, it’s not prog rock
So long Scottish Diva of Despair. Your bagpipe mad skill will be forever in me head
This almost sounds like a guilty gear take on a Dream Theatre song. goddamn.
Go listen to Bedman's theme from Xrd for the real Dream Theater expy
Ram's theme is sooooooo fucking amazing but it's too long to ever fully appreciate in a game lmao
Daisuke on that Dream Theater trip
Naoki also clearly took a fair bit of influence from maynard
@@teethcoat4274 Oh yeah I can totally hear that. Shit, Dream Theater and Tool? I'm downnnnnn
@@teethcoat4274 Yep, I clearly noticed some Tool elements on this one
I'd say more ELP, but yeah, i guess dream theater fit for later in the song.
"Envy, cheat, banging, domination"
Is there something you aren't telling us Ram
I like it the matches end so quickly that you won't be able to hear it
"But th e matches.."
To be fair the beginning instrumental part is an absolute bop and will be heard everytime
You want 7 minute matches each time or what? Thats how matches get stale
That's true w every theme. If I get the hit w 3 mixups, I can kill with ino before the clock gets under 80 sec.
AKA Theme of Best Girl.
Preach
This isn't Mays theme tho 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
@@KoninjaX were talking about Theme of Best Girl, not Best Theme of Girl
@@DuckHunterVideos nah its still may either way
@@KoninjaX na rams factually better waifu wise and and her themes way better :D
this song is amazing it basically telling you the journey of ramlethal from a cold doll that think theres no reason in anything but after xrd she's start to try to understand humans and search for a meaning for everything and at the end she see that even if the world is foolish and full of no sense that's okay because she fell in love with the world and how it is that's why is called necessary discrepancy is the constant search of meaning from ramlethal
The beginning sounds like a Pokémon Sun and Moon music... and I love it
Who?
@ "who" what
@ do you live under a rock?
@ based
Wut? I've not listened to any S&M osts, any example?
Gotta love how it suddenly just evolves into something like a fusion of Tool and Alice In Chains. It's so good.
Guilty Gear soundtracks never disappoint.
3:40 sounded like a thank you scientist to me that then evolves in... Well, prog metal, which i haven't heard much of admittedly, i guess that fits tool tho.
But then again the whole song has influences all over the place.
The overall progression in sections is very genesis and ELP- like, the very start feels like blazblue, the first chorus is pretty juch ripped straight off of bitches crystal by ELP, 4:06 to 4:23 is full-on motoi sakuraba all while making winks at past gg songs... This is prog and vgm heaven honestly.
@@iota-09
I myself haven't listened to a whole lot of progressive Rock, so some otherwise clear influences are probably lost on me. The part starting at 2:10 in particular just really screams Tool and Alice In Chains. To me, anyway.
But a lot of the rest is a mixture of things elsewhere-- it's a mashup of all kinds of influences.
The beginning does indeed remind me of BlazBlue for sure, and I can definitely hear what is very much a Motoi style section in there.
As most of Daisuke Ishiwatari's music work tends to be, it's very much a blended mix of things.
Damn, this is pretty good, but I kinda wanted to hear more of Aishas part... since i'm one of the 3 people who enjoyed the snippet we got.
I'm really disappointed that so many people seemed to hate the hook, it felt like one of the most distinct snippets we got but after 2:10 the track sounds a lot more like everything else on the OST... Idk
I love the hook so much
Who is Aisha? I really liked that part, and was sad to hear it end prematurely, so I'm curious about the singer's voice as it was really good.
@@ShadowMKII singer in this theme, love the subhuman self, and disaster of passion

4 people. I really loved the aisha's part, even more when she is actually in harmony with naoki.
2:45 is so good. You can hear the old Valentine theme "Diva" with the guitar. I would also think this song is top 5 if they kept it from 1:08 - 3:02
Wait the guitar? I thought that the leitmotiff here was the choir of diva
Man, the initial teaser for this song did it it no justice
You know what she is looking at.
BORGAR
Man there really are... Three lines of Esperanto in this song
glad I'm not the only one who noticed!

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions but man it bums me out when I see people throw this theme at the bottom of an OST tier list. Can't imagine hearing all the passion in Naoki's voice at the end and still thinking it's the worst track.
My only complaint is I wish it was longer lol. 6 minutes long and I still think it's over too fast. Maybe like 10 or 12 minutes instead.
I hated it at first (listening to the preview) but hearing the full song it's my favorite character theme in the game.
@@CynicalZielony I even liked the preview. That opening synth arpeggio got me good
Oh desire!
Those people need to clean their ears
People think this is the worst track? It's legitimately the only track i actually love, the rest is some 2005 era industrial metal/numetal bullshit that was cringe back then and still is extremely cringy. This at least is somewhat original.
Guilty gears matches are so fast you never get to the good part. This song is S tier forsure
The way Ram wearing her hat kinda looks like she about to start a pokemon battle lol
Man, I can't stop listening to this goddamn fucking song...Everything about this song, especially going into that break at 2:10 is as godlike as Ram's tier. This song slaps so hard once it grows on you.
Shine and Dark
Symbiosis
Necessary Discrepancy
The loving foolish world is down there
Black and white
Two are one, necessary discrepancy
The loving foolish world still going on
If a room a without the sky,
is what we idolize, it's a dead tomorrow
Funny how imho the part at 2:10 is the weakest in the whole song lol(it's still good, i just think it should have been only in the end, not in the middle too)
man, Ram's theme start being interesting when most fights are over :(
This song is something sweet! A lot of this album reminds me of the Epic album from Faith No More
Ramlethal--much thicc, such prog
I just wished Aisha got to sing more in this one. Naoki hogged most of the spotlight as usual. You can already hear his voice in all the other songs besides Millia’s and May’s theme.
“JUST BURNS UP TIMEEEEE” - Naoki 2021
I fucking love Aisha
I'm not the only one who loves the first chorus! Then again I'm a sucker for that type of sound
You can hear him in Millia's, it's just a very minor chorus role
You could say it's a necessary discrepancy
This is basically a Devin Townsend song I love it
doctor: you have 5 minutes to live.
me: Dammit, i can't even hear ramlethal song
This is when you call Faust.
I do miss her old theme, and in general I wish there were instrumental versions of the songs but this one is definitely growing on me. My only real issue now is that my favourite part is the last third and my fights never last past the 3 minute mark! 😂
This has big prog rock energy and I adore it
The initial drop is a real treat to the ears
Absolute masterwork 👌
sorry to break it to you. its not
@ 2:10 - 2:40 I play extra hard if we make it to that part of the song. Shit is 🔥 🔥 🔥
I could listen to that opening rift on loop so good
This theme give me Dream Theater vibes, thats fckn awesome!
okay yeah, the full song is way better than the preview
Definitely. When I heard the preview I went back and watched Ram's trailer again and listened to the music there, and I was really questioning if they were part of the same song.
That’s what I was saying since the preview dropped! They just randomly chose to sample only the “downbeat” part
I love that this OST has a prog song on it, it's so nuts; X-Japan, Queensryche and ELP are very noticeable influences, I fucking love it! This and Giovana's theme are my favorite off the album.
My mom (who is a total nut for 80’s rock) hears so much Queensryche in a lot of the songs on this album. I totally hear that too
You'll be surprised to know japanese vgms have a ton of prog in them, especially 90's ones, let's thank lord uematsu and sakuraba for that.
@@iota-09 Oh, yeah, for sure, the Chrono Trigger OST is very ELP inspired, specially Tarkus.
There are really people out here saying Ram’s theme is the worst 🤨
All of them are good imo

I feel bitches crystal more than tarkus, but yeah.

Big power ballad energy in the latter half, which feels kinda right given some bits in Diva
HEAAART AAAND HEAAAAAART
Love this song. Even when I just heard the preview, I knew I'd really enjoy it.
I know this one would be be good. The preview had me very interested.
This song is such a trip. I love it but i really wish that first section got fleshed out more cuz god damn it fucked so hard
Well it's better then that preview let on like it would be.
The previews did a few characters dirty. Zato’s preview was garbage, but it turned out the full version slaps.
@@Kropothead yeah the previews really didn't help some characters at all. Really had me worried that the ost would be more of a mixed bag.
@@Kropothead i liked all the previews tbh
@@fugosfork7907 same honestly. Especially this song. That said, full version is WAY better than I even expected
Yeah i feel like people were just too judgmental on the snippets lol people hated songs after hearing like 15 secs
Good news lads, the latest album (Contains every song up to Testament) will be called Necessary discrepancy, we win these
This song is like a mix of Tool and Dream Theater! So much prog!
That explains why I love it all the more.
and a lot of emerson like and palmer, the begginign is almost identical to "bitches crystal"
Can't believe they got Dream Theater to work on the strive OST
ramlethal trying to escape from the enemy inside...
oh fuck yeah this one is definitely up my alley
the synth is definitely fucking prog rock as fuck. shit. im in love
ill be up your alley soon enough
This is a you love it or you hate it song
song only gets to the hype part (around 2:00) when the fight is about to end every time. sadge
there needs to be an option to keep the music going uninterrupted if you chose to rematch. because this happens to a lot of themes.
Agree, even more if you're making 6 and a fucking half minutes of great music for matches that last a minute and a half at most
Man, the more i listen to this, the greater it gets
Daisuke really summoned his inner Emerson, Lake, and Palmer for Ram and I’m all her for it
we should have trusted in the daisuke's works
Every other character: Big power metal anthems
Ramlethal: Dream Theater
00:18-00:25 reminds me of a Blazblue theme, and I can’t figure out which one. It’s driving me crazy.
