i mean to fix Gnoll (or any cards like it) they'd have to make the game remember the cost you paid to summon it for evolve instead of the cost on the card. They need to do this so they can KEEP making cost changing cards, or they will always break evolve shaman.
it didnt, the new evolve card is coded to not allow colossals to be discovered. it's a bug thats being fixed, but they did indeed have the foresight to make that change in the code
@@sexypepsilol403 what change in the code? Apparently they didn’t make it. Thinking about doing it doesn’t count. Or were they just too incompetent to properly code it? Did someone trip and fall on the keyboard?
It did not. It is a bug due to the discover rules not applying the evolve rule restrictions. Also, I would not only worry about Neptulon, but also about Thaddius, which is why evolve shaman is busted. Can we add the 11 mana giant to the game please?
There are powerful turn 3s from multiple classes but this requires only 2 cards to pull off in most cases a decent 10 drop. I believe there are like twelve 10 drops with 5 or 6 of them being pretty decent (either with a good effect or over 10/10 stats). You get 3 choices of those 12 possibilities (5 or 6 being good) so most of the time you'll get one decent option. Do you all think it could get nerfed?
@@Begeru The fact you can discover Colossal minions from Blazing Transmutation is a bug. You're not supposed to be able to evolve into Colossals at all. I do find it strange they missed this though since they even came out and confirmed that it shouldn't be possible. Typical of Blizzard though at this point.
@@Noobie2k7It isn’t a bug, actually. The regular evolve pool doesn’t include Colossal’s but discover pools do; so it’s an unusual workaround to the usual limits of evolving but it is in no world a bug.
Yup, now you know why you've never been able to RNG your way into a colossal by evolving... before. Question is, why let people do that now, at a 3x higher rate?
Getting neptune is fine and fair, it is a 10 cost. Whats not fair is playing a 10 cost on turn 2. It doesn't matter if that 10 cost is only a 1/1 with no text, aslong as getting a 10 cost out on turn 2/3/4/5 exist evolve shaman will be strong or OP. The solution to this is to make Gnoll cost 12 or 13. Notice how virtually EVERY problem/OP decks comes from insane mana cheat. You would think Blizzard would catch on to this and stop printing clearly abusable mana cheats....
Agree. Ever since extreme mana cheat became a staple in certain classes constructed Hearthstone gameplay has sucked. And it's sucking more each new expansion tbh
Fianlly standard players will get to feel what we wild players have felt since voyage. So surley blizzard will make a nerf that can fix this problem in wild and standard now, surley?
honestly colossals should be legal to transform into anyway. is it OP and unfair? probably. is it what makes sense based on what the text on the card is? absolutely.
Yeah it's pretty arbitrary to limit colossal minions from being transformed into when other minions with on-summon ability are still valid options. Just make the appendages appear on-play only if you're that scared of people cheating them out. It's like the devs want these minions to be impactful but not *too* impactful so they made up a brand new inconsistent ruling just for them.
@@LazyPandaBum The point of colossals was that they always appear with their appendages though. That was the whole point of adding a bunch of "recruit" mechanics to warrior with it. But just making gnoll cost 11 would already make this a moot point because the problem is not evolving into colossals. It's gnoll in the first place.
Man I have a lot of respect for the devs and think they're great people and all, but geez do they let a lot of silly busted stuff slip through the cracks far too often. It's like I can't even be excited for new cards any more because I know something like this will happen.
This whole evolve mechanic needs a rework. You cannot be allowed to summon everything, since this will always result in some imbalance. Though boring, a far safer approach would be to just summon a creature with x/x stats, where x is the mana cost. So, a 6-drop always evolves to a vanilla 7/7. A 10 Drop would just evolve to an 11/11 I guess. This would solve all these issues, and not have the balance team worry that any 10-drop they print will break these decks.
I dont really mind giving shaman's the ability to discover neptulon from evolve. Its goldshire gnoll being the problem that allows them to do it so early. Honestly blizzard should just delete that card from existence
