Sorry, but water will never flow uphill without an energy source. Note that as soon as the pressure equalizes in the bottles he must refill them. There is, however, a pump that will pump water without electricity or any external power source. It is called a "trompe ram" and uses the pressure from flowing water downhill to operate. Old technology but still very usable.
i think we call them ram pumps....had one on the family farm that was 70 years old and has never stopped working and never needed to be serviced. uses water flow to compress air in a cylinder then the air pushes back and a valve flips to push the water up hill. You only get about 10-15% of the flow through the pipe but on the farm that was enough to power the shed and barn and water the upper field. slow and steady for decades.
@@heathb4319 That is exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for the clarification. You are right in the percentage of flow. I know of one that gets about 20% but it has a lot of head to work with.
@@brook280 Physics doesn't pump water uphill with no energy. If it was a syphon, then it would make sense, but it's not. yeah, my dad has a hose with a self-starting siphon. you prime it by thrusting hose forward and back. the valve opens when you go forward, letting water in. then the valve closes when you pull back, so it retains the water that just came in. The source of power is the person jerking the hose/pipe forward/back.
