But whatever one things for sure their parents supported them in this and provided an environment for this type of mental growth and tbh they woulda been pretty well off. Now I don’t say my parents aren’t supportive but I never had this kinda exposure even tho sometimes I felt like doing such things but didn’t have any idea how to start

I've had great opportunities working with them, and you certainly fit the mold with your contributions to the open source community and hobbies. Best of luck.
