We have just been planning to do a McGee version of Manchruisn Beat! I hv bn asking mina to prepare....she is working on composing some songs but Manchrian Beat is def. coming soon. ;)))

I love the Easter Egg…9 year old Mina playing the Surf Strat! 😃🎸🤣 Mina’s confidence is really amazing nowadays, as she has a bit of fun playing with her guitar in an elevated position. I haven’t even graduated to playing standing up! 🙄. Thanks for sharing this with us! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks Jim! Yap, it was the surf strat. It was my Birthday present, but back then, she liked using it so much as it has great playability! Well, U know i'd let her. About playing standing up, it took me and Mina 6 months to learn how to do that! It was harder than we thought! We began by making the strap short, so the guitar sort of like hanged near the chest like what the Ventures did. It was easier. The shorter the strap, the easier it was to play standing up. Then because of the lockdown last year, we played lots of metal songs at home, and you know how metal guitarists hang their guitars really really low. So we had to learn all that again and it took another 6 months to feel just a bit comfortable to play the guitar while hanging it semi low...so we lowered the guitar inch by inch...well, at least I had to do that. Mina didn't need to, and I don't know how she did it. but, she plays the lead, so it can't be hanging too low....hope this information helps!
Wonderful, as usual! I really miss playing in a group. My friends all have other things to do now. No ride of the day? Ok, I'll pick one. A Lufi Noserider 9'1" longboard so we can hang 10 properly..... it's surf song, so we need to a surf board :)
Thanks for the suggestion!!! I have not tried surfing, only wake surfing and wakeboarding. ;-) I know, playing in a group is quite a lot of fun. I am sure there are other music friends you will meet and can jam with them, no? Post on different facebook groups that look for band members. That's what some of my friends do. ;-))) Sometimes things work out okay ;-)
