I have a Degree in Nursing from a not known Nursing school and applied for the BS-Clothing Technology Program as a 2nd degree in UPD. Before UP, I went to fashion schools muna to enhance and gain experience. You can check their requirements (depende sa program na kukunin mo) as for the Program CT, GWA needed was 2.0 or better, 5 best works (portfolio), Exam (not UPCAT), then kung makapasa ka sa Exam, last is Panel Interview. Dont be nervous, theyll ask a lot of questions, but for them to know lang na talagang pursigido ka sa Program/Course na kukunin mo at tatapusin mo then maging okay ka. Since Degree holder ka naman na, hindi naman mahirap. If youre planning to take a program na malayo sa course mo, pwdeng mag 2nd degree ka just like sa case ko. If example Entrep or if may Masters degree na allowed mo na kunin dun kana.

I think some youtubers from UP mentioned that you need to have at least 85 grades in all ur subjects during ur JHS and SHS i think. which will be filled up on your UPCAT application form. 40% lang yan though still a big factor. Kaya habulin mo na lng sa UPCAT. Dun mo galingan if medyo Di ka confident sa grades mo ng HS.

@Flewt Puns Hello! can't really remember since nung October pa yun, pero sa Lang Prof - grammar, meron din dun given yung words tas mamimili ka kung alin yung tamang sentence construction parang: 1- to 2- oust 3-need 4- we 5- duterte so yung correct answer is 4-3-1-2-5 *very time consuming so think fast indentifiying errors (merong given na sentence tas may underlined words then u choose alin dun ung mali or kung walang mali) i can't remember na yung iba huhu sa math, merong work/age/distance problems, geometry, tas algebra puro highschool lessons lang naman. sa science, maraming graphs and tables!! maraming data na nakainput and honestly nakakaoverwhelm pero read the question first then find ung answer sa graph/table. sa reading comp. wala lang random na stories/articles pero mauuna lalabas ung texts and mauubusan ka ng oras if you read muna so bali read questions muna para alam mo na what to find sa text. *madali lang upcat!!!! mas madali pa siya kesa sa ustet for college!! yun nga lang right minus wrong and sobrang daming students din na applying for up so goodluck kaya mo yan!!

Yes. My grades were close to that, and now I'm applying for reconsideration. It will hold you back, but if you do better in UPCAT, you can pull it off. Maybe I just did bad on my entrance exam, but other schools are surprisingly generous with grades. Some schools easily give students 95.

From what I learned watching UP RUclipsrs is: first, try to apply for recon in other campuses offering the same course. But take note of the requirements (UPG, interviews, etc) Second, its better to take your first year in the campus where you got accepted (if ever recon is not feasible) then transferred after your first year. Usually a high grade of 2.0 or higher is required so you have to better your grades during first year to get a slot. Remember that you might be competing again with other transferees.

Yes, pwede as Transferee as long as mapasa mo yung requirements nila or may certain units na kailangan matapos mo sa school mo saka ka pwde magtransfer sa UP. Sa case ko naman Transferee-2 ako (2nd degree) BS-Nursing Grad then I applied for the program BS Clothing Technology sa UPD. GWA needed was 2.0 or better, 5works portfolio (since I studied in Fashion Schools), Exam (Not UPCAT), then pagmakapasa ka sa Exam next and final step was Panel Interview. They want to know if gaano ka kapursigido matapos ang course na aaplyan or kkunin mo. Inquire ka lang sa Registrar nila, usually nakapost naman yun dun. Yes, pwede as Transferee as long as mapasa mo yung requirements nila or may certain units na kailangan matapos mo sa school mo saka ka pwde magtransfer sa UP. Sa case ko naman Transferee-2 ako (2nd degree) BS-Nursing Grad then I applied for the program BS Clothing Technology sa UPD. GWA needed was 2.0 or better, 5works portfolio (since I studied in Fashion Schools), Exam (Not UPCAT), then pagmakapasa ka sa Exam next and final step was Panel Interview. They want to know if gaano ka kapursigido matapos ang course na aaplyan or kkunin mo.
Inquire ka lang sa Registrar nila, usually nakapost naman yun dun. Pwede din you can send them an email re your concerns. Goodluck

@@gloriabanago1371 Hello. The answer would be, she had 'better graded' competitors. After all, Hundreds and thousands of us fought for a slot. But with such good UPG, you're daughter is eligible for reconsideration/appeal. Which i think should be checked as soon as possible for better chances. Good day.
@@causeofdeathhumanstupidity52 thank U.for your reply .UPLB is to far for her and no nursing coarse there.So she decided to enroll in.PLM BSN coz she passed there too and UST Nutrition and Dietetics.She said she will.try again.next time for Med.School Entrance Exam.I have another question her UPG didn't qualify for UPD & UPM did she fail the exam? Or just not qualify.
@@gloriabanago1371 2.2 is a really good UPG so I dont believe she failed the exam. She just most probably did not qualify because of the competitiveness of her course choices.

@@elya5943 Hi. Usually kasi quota course ung mga sciences for example ung Engineering, biology, mga ganan. Usually mga quota kasi ay ung medyo mas mahirap makapasok. For example dito samin sa UPLB, Non quota ang forestry, agriculture etc.
