  • Womp womp. Hope you can glean some useful information in any case! Have an idea of what's causing the interference or want to share which mic of the two is your favorite? Let me know in the comments. Get the Sennheiser MKE 600: bhpho.to/3KnhuBw and get the RODE NTG5: bhpho.to/3DOi0G6
    Long story short, this is an older review that I’ve re-uploaded. RUclips demonetized my channel a while back without explanation, forcing me to systematically delete and rebuild a portion of my channel. The good news is that it's now remonetized and more gear reviews are coming! Lights, lenses, productivity tools, cameras, computers - basically anything used in the creative process. Sorry your set-up interfered with the indoor test, but I appreciated your forthright admission about the test. My MKE 600 arrives tomorrow--can't wait to hear how it sounds in my studio. Thanks for posting this despite the hiccup with the indoor test.

    I just purchased an MKE 600 and run it through my Rodecaster Pro 2.
    I’m lost though, it seems as though I have to set the gain to 45-55 in order for it to pick up my voice properly and have it in the green bar range.
    Doing this though I get all the horrible sounds of the room and house coming through to the max.
    It doesn’t sound good at all, I’m very lost as to how to make it sound good.
    Everyone on RUclips seems to have one and it sounds awesome, is everyone just doing a load of post processing?
    I’m so lost…

      @@breveganlyfeNope. I ended up returning the MKE 600 and purchased a different microphone alongside another recorder to test as well.

    The sennheiser is a little less reverberant at the 6' distance and seems to have a little more direct voice clarity. Probably has a tighter pattern and more rejection.

    please I have a doubt 😅 To film pizza makers and chefs while they work, what could be better for me? Is it ok Mke 600? Thanks a lot!

      MKE 600 is a bit long if you're using it on camera. Any of these short shotgun mics would work great: bhpho.to/3QAsWxP (affiliate link)

    I have the same thing going on. Did you figure out what caused the interference?

  • @chradon.
    @chradon. 10 месяцев назад +1

    The noise could be the power or usb connection depending on your setup
    Experienced something similar before and in my case it ended up being unclean power delievery from the usb port on my PC to my audio interface causing it
    Edit: Actually, if I recall right it wasn’t the usb ports fault, but the wall outlet and moving my PC to another fixed it

      Gotcha. Yeah, I couldn't figure this one out. Went from AC to battery power, turned off my LEDs, switched cables, all kinds of stuff. Never figured it out. Could have been some weird interference from the building/power lines. Haven't had the issue with the Sennheiser since.

      I tried AC and battery power on the camera, phantom power and battery power on the mics, XLR to mini XLR, and XLR to 3.5mm. Literally every combination of power and cables at my disposal. Haven't had an issue like this since with a wired mic.
