A small summary of the interview (for my own use don’t mind me guys) • Black never found it difficult to perform the song - written at a very nihilist point in their life • Can write songs very quickly and writing was their main way of preventing being overwhelmed • Ever time he performs a song they’re transported back to when they first wrote it • Darkness is sexy - the expression, the mood, etc. but they’re going to let people interpret the song in their own ways • They colour their songs in different ways - collaborating with friends and feeling the energy with everyone they collabed with onstage • It’s been 5 years since they’ve performed in front of a crowd (even the national selection wasn’t filmed in front of an audience) • During the pandemic they just slowed everything down - eating, playing games, chilling, they didn’t have to be “the moment”, with this mindset helping them create the performance to the song • They wrote this song in a euphoric state, writing from a real burst of inspiration - and there’s more to come! • They appreciate the large range of audience and enjoy how they’re united through eurovision (“it’s beautiful”) • Check out their Pinterest board, it’s a mood.

I love Cinan very much and find him very sweet. (I am also a Turkish immigrant from Bulgaria 🫶🏻) However, after watching this interview, I realized this. How many times did Cinan talk to Luke, but he couldn't even ask a few deep questions like that. Deban's experience and sincerity help artists open up. Just watching the interviews called “OMG, Gurllll, Slay” unfortunately does not satisfy me as a fan who has been following the competition for 22 years. I don't think either Gen Z or Millennial satisfies anyone.
When will the rest of the reaction videos be out, it'd be sad that a Eurovision fan like Diljá wouldn't get to see a reaction to her own song from you guys 😥
