      Thanks for watching and the kind words 😊 welcome to the channel and I hope to have you as a returning viewer.
      The painting was by wherein William and the colour name is called Big Chill, it's one of the best selling colours they have and I use this a lot for many of my projects, it's a very nice and modern colour. I also have other accent wall videos, if you are interested please be sure to watch them also, all the best 👍. 😊

    Thanks so much for the video! Question: after measuring the wall how do you make sure all the pieces fit evenly all the way across? I know you had 3” & 5” but how do you know how many pieces to fit across so there isn’t a giant gap once you get to the end? Thank you!

      Hi , thanks for watching 🙂 you have alot of room to play , you can lay your pices on the ground and then see if you like the lay out , you can move them a little bit when u get to the last 4 feet and even if they are off by 3/4 an inch it's not noticeable because they are not the same hight.

      Thanks for watching 🙂
      I used 1 x3 rimmed MDF
      It's called 1x3 but the true measurements are 3/4 x 2 1/2 just like dimensional lumber that the actual measurements of a 2x4 is 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

    If you don’t mind, did you get 10’ long trim and how much did you buy from store to do this project?

    • @renovationschool8818
      @renovationschool8818  2 года назад +1

      Yes I used 10 foot long trim and I remember I bought 20 and I think only used like 18 mesh.

    I see that you used nail gun on non stud areas. Is it ok? I am trying to get a similar look but my studs are spaced far. Any solution?

    • @renovationschool8818
      @renovationschool8818  2 года назад

      Yes I used the No More Nail adhesive and then nailed it to make sure they never come off . I nailed the trim on areas that did not have any stud also.
      When you nail try to put each nail at a slightly different angel this way the nails pulls and hold the trim against the drywall.

    Can i only use the glue without nails ??

    • @renovationschool8818
      @renovationschool8818  2 года назад

      yes for sure, just tape the trim down in a few spots so it stays in place while it dries up.
      If u do it on a wall that the other side is on the outside of the house I highly recommend nailling it. due to the weather, the boards may expand and contract too much and all ur seams may fall apart if it's not nailed.
