All I can say is thank god I got to see this version before it went away. Not looking forward to the new animatronic carrying on about how he's gonna deport the Three Caballeros.
I love how these animatronics look at each other after their names are called during the presidential roll call. Gives that sense of realism, As though they acknowledge each other throughout the course of time. Basically, the Hall of Presidents is an extended version of Walt Disney's original attraction "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" at Disneyland.
I'm so sick of reading political nonsense and hateful comments on sites like The Dis and other Disney blogs which I go to for a small escape from exactly all that for a while. I guess I just need to watch the videos from now on and skip the commentaries. Thank you for sharing the magic with me....so I can still be part of Disney while I'm away from home.

I'm now wondering who they will get to voice the attraction and I'm also really hoping that the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage is included in the new version.
This was definitely my favorite version, politics aside. Love Morgan Freeman, but I do miss Maya Angelou's narration from the Clinton version, guess I'm nostalgic because that's the one I remember most from when I was a kid. Never saw the W one since I never got to WDW in those years. I do hope they keep the balance between uplifting content and not totally sanitizing things like it was way back in the old school script. I also hope they keep President Obama as a speaking animatronic similar to Washington et al given the historic nature of his presidency.
sinistralwing I actually had a very similar discussion yesterday about hoping they would keep President Obama on as a speaking animatronic. I'm crossing my fingers that Disney does the attraction justice, I don't expect them to water the new script down, though. Here's to hoping 🍺

Kevin Schettko no hate here. I just don't think Trump is qualified or has the character, integrity, or temperament to hold the most prestigious job in the world. I could go on but wont. I love my country and I'm ashamed of what is representing us. Peace and good will to you! And...God bless America!
Is the trump one going to have to have the insane hand motions and him yelling 'make America great again' and 'building a wall' ? Or are Disney going to try and at least make him...watchable...
Can you even imagine what Trump's speech would be like? I honestly cannot picture him saying anything humble, (deservedly) humbling, inspirational, unifying, or even optimistic, because he never has. His inaugural address was probably the most 'uplifting' speech he'll ever give, and it was objectively bad and inappropriate. I predict he'll make a point of: 1. Glorifying himself 2. Bragging about winning the election 3. Taking credit for his predecessor's accomplishments or positive residual effects of the previous administration 4. Telling the audience about how terrible our country is right now 5. Saying that he alone can "fix" it 6. Praising his supporters 7. Saying "yuge" and possibly "bigly", and maybe even "braggadocious" 8. Throwing in a few provable lies just to get the audience's blood boiling
Fun fact, the Animatronic used for President Obama, is the same one they used for George W Bush, just reprogrammed for Obama's movements, and voice
Watching on November 7th 2020 and Obama's section brought a tear to my eye. I have renewed hope for the future of America.
