My father passed away on may 2021. I was living far away in the city with my family so we went home immediately. I sang this song during his funeral as a tribute to his sacrifices to us but i cannot finish the song because i was too emotional. I miss him so much.😢
Paul Anka was one of my moms very favorite singers. My sister and brother in law live in Vegas. They took my mom to see and meet him. She was so thrilled.
This song brought me the old memories of my father's sacrifices, though in the mist's of hardships, he never uttered a word about his hardships, such great soul ,this song is very touching, tqvm.
As if the song was written for my father. My father was a quiet but strong person. When our mother was unavailable due to illness, he took care of everything and we were five small children. Never a word of complaint, never an accusation. R.I.P
