You might be interested in researching the Overseas Railroad / Flagler Railroad. Super fascinating history, between the construction of it, the devastating loss of rolling stock, track, and US Army personnel during a hurricane, and the conversion to The Overseas Highway. Really interesting what they did to some of the rail bridges to accommodate auto traffic.

I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. Helps me sleep a little better at night knowing they are now secured.

Damon sorry that your auto pilot came back less than 100% fixed. Great job of fixing it your self. West Marine and auto pilot company sponsor this young Captain.

The music sounds western. Shootout at Key West Corral. Autopilots let you down, pardner.

Cool, looking forward to seeing more. I hope the storm never showed up, and you can enjoy the Keys longer.

Luckily it is just missing us so we have been pretty safe here at the anchorage

Question is it safe to leave your dingy for prolong periods, or do you have a way to secure it? I ran across your channel and just subscribed!

It definitely depends on the area but luckily it was pretty safe while I was anchored there!

I have been cruising full time for 4 years, the number one issue with theft is leaving you dinghy down at night or leaving it unlocked at the dock.

Hey I just noticed your Missouri plate behind ya. I’m assuming you’re from there. That’s where I live but just bought my new to me sailboat that’s currently in Texas. I hope to be in Florida by next year

Good eye, I'm from near Springfield Mo. That sounds exciting! Are you planning on following the coast over to Florida or jumping straight across the gulf?

@@damonrust I’ll likely stay within 100nm of the coast. Next year seems so far away lol

Good for you, you learned 2 lessons here, #1 try to fix it yourself first. #2 Take warranty and tech support with a grain of salt.
