I'm 71 yrs old and still have my balsa, paper covered ringmaster that I built a thousand? years ago. Fox 35 motor that still ran when I tried it about 4 or 5 yrs back. Have the original box for the motor and the price marked on it is 14.95 -:) . I had a lot of fun with these kits and planes back then.
    for the motor

My (crashed) Ringmaster Jr combat ship "Angry at Everybody" has followed me for the last 20 some years and has been hanging up in the garage. My father flew it last when the control rod came loose and I never fixed it. I discovered the .049 engine has seized up

Back in the 60s, my dad's favorite plane was his Ringmaster .35 with a K&B Torpedo on it that reliably started first or second flip every time. He crashed and rebuilt it so many times he started painting "Xs" on the forward fuselage, much in the manner of WWI pilots, to commemorate each "kill." The Old Man let me fly it a few times as a youngster, but I never attempted any stunts for fear of killing it for good. (In reality, as a great father, he probably wouldn't have cared, but I didn't know that then.) Still have his Flite Streak which somehow survived a long career without any crashes, but don't know what ultimately happened to that old Ringmaster. I miss it, and him, too.

@Phil M voodoo flying wing with twin booms . I had a PAW 19 in mine but it would take a bigger engine than that

Flew Ringmasters and (Sterling) Mustangs back in the 50's. Always partial to K&B 35s. We used an old golf driving range north of Bethesda, MD. Anyone remember a home-built combat plane - a wing - the Half Fast ? We used to build them 6 at a time, on jigs. Ambroid glue, Testor's butyrate, Silkspan. Lotsa fun. Built Noblers, too. (I was born in '39)

No better combination than a Ringmaster with a Fox 35! Great first flights! Don't ever change that AC, just fly it. My Dad once converted a Ringmaster to a Grumman Wildcat....never flew the same. Good video.

Great job! Years ago I built a couple Ringmasters and Flight streaks. The later was a bit faster but not quite as nimble. Still have a Baby Flight streak with a TD .051 hanging up in the garage.

I built and flew these back in the mid-1950s. I had a few others, like the Flight Streak. I couldn't afford a Fox .35 but had McCoy Redheads. Model aircraft were a very popular hobby back then, along with model railroading (another hobby). Lots of fun memories of those years of innocence.

Of course, I remember the Ringmaster .. and the Ringmaster Jr. (for .19 engines) and the Baby Ringmaster (1/2A size). Great 'slo-combat' flyer. It was great to see the senior passing along a little knowledge to the youngster, teaching him the 4 cycle /2 cycle break over. The Fox .35 Stunt was a great motor, designed by Duke Fox. Later, when I got serious about combat, I went with roller bearing engines and ball bearing engines like the Fox .36X and Fox .35 Combat Special. Those engines screamed with bored out venturis, re-ported crankshafts and cylinder liners. The pull from a full blown combat 'wing' running high nitro fuel, turning close to 20K rpm with an 8-8 prop .. man, those were exciting days. Thanks for the memory ...

If you can find a 4oz. perfect wedge tank somwhere and mount it as close as possible to the engine with 4 tiny wood wood screw hooks and rubber bandsholding down the tank that fox 35 stunt will run with a 4 stroke in level flight and go to a 2stroke in stunts and fly about 4 mn. b4 quiting cleanly . I must have hundreds of hours on THAT exact combo. in the 1950/ 60s ( mostly fox 35stunt , Mcoy red head and K+B green head also Fox 15, on jr ringmaster , and OK CUB .049 on 1/2A ringmaster. I still have my fox35 and it still runs PERFECT . ( I am now 80yrs and tried flying control line again after 50yrs not to succsesfuly as now I get reay sick and VERY dizzy now.🤐🤐🤐

Nice build, color scheme and flying. RMS produces a nice light build Ringmaster. This was the first plane my father helped me build. I have an RMS I fly now and have a Sterling S-1 to build. I would invite you to join Brotherhood of the Ring. For everything Ringmaster you ever wanted to know. Wishing you many flights to come, Chris Burchfield.

Just picked up the plans for the original Ringmaster, profile fuse with tapered trailing edge. I wish I had Fox .35 but I do have a O.S..40 I plan to use. This will be my third Ringmaster, last one was in 1975. Jeez is that really 43 years ago? At 56 I hope I don’t get dizzy going round and round. Can’t wait to cut out the kit and smell the dope again. Guess I’ll use CA and epoxy, has to be better than Ambroid! So glad I kept modeling through the years! My 5 digit AMA number gets a lot of questions in the R/C field, not so much in the C/L circle. Still lots of 4 digits out there! I’m amazed to see those guys at the Nat’s.
