Medal of Honor was my first ego shooter on ps1 ever, this looks like a remaster. In my memories its like this Version😅
One thing I really don’t like about this game is how fast you move around. That messes with my immersion. I get it has to be like that for multiplayer but I wish they could have slowed it down a little in the campaign for more of a realistic feel. Because the graphics and environment are pretty awesome.

Apparently it's possible to sprint everywhere at 15 mph and be shot repeatedly by machine gun fire without any impact and only the occasional magic first aid kit needed

I loved this. My grandfather was in WWII although in the pacific at tinian island. Sharing the same last name as the character you play is pretty cool having them call you by name the entire game.
Right sooo basically when Spielberg directed saving private Ryan he also did a game you may have heard of called medal of honor. It was to basically be saving private Ryan the game. The people that made the game left ea and created infinity ward and worked with Activision to develop call of duty. A lot of cod ww2 is like a spiritual successor to this mostly this mission and the one where your like a spy.
At 4:09 the boat driver is just frozen in place like they forgot to animated or move him to a dead position

I remember that one. Also had the Stalingrad scene from Enemy at the Gates.
I never played that but I played Medal of Honor frontline and it came out before allied assault and dday was the first mission.

that game was so over the top in it's stupidity that I stopped playing after that trainwreck mission. Even this opening sequence was just way too dumb, especially at the end where you're dragged and you somehow, magically fend off dozens of battle-hardened soldiers with your pea shooter

Getting blinded is one thing. Hurt my knee? Adrenaline would kick in; feel it all an hour later. If I lived... this scenario looks pretty unsurvivable

i'm old and haven't played video game on PC or console since the early 90s...Why are console graphics seemingly so much better than PC games particularly relating to natural movements of people being depicted and equipment???
Because it's 60 frames per second instead of 30. I thought material simulation on Hogwarts was out of this world, playing on a Radeon 470 4GB.

Consoles on TV's were stuck on 30fps not so long ago, newer games are now 60+. It gives a smoother gameplay experience. I find better animations.

My grandfather was one of them that stormed the beaches and told my nan the amount of bullits that were flying towards you looked like rain fall but coming towards you instead of dropping on you and that the bodies he climbed over that day were piled so high it was a turkey shoot.
