All the clemson fans have been gracious in defeat. I think this 7 year run has humbled us gamecocks who definitely took advantage of those spurrier years. It went to our heads and it was snatched away just as quickly. Whatever success we have with Beamer, I think going through this exile was ultimately good for the fan base. As a lifelong Clemson Tiger fan I agree with you fully. I am in disbelief that Dabo has stuck with DJ (and his average at best play) for 2 seasons now. I also wonder what and why the reason is to do so. Brandon Streeter is another subject we should touch on Peete.
Dabo must go fishin in south GA with DJ. No other explanation sir for keeping him. Fishing in south GA with the coach is a proven method to keep your QB job.
As a Gamecock fan all of my life, I would not have given Carolina a chance in that game especially at home for Clemson. I will say this as I have for a long time, the crowd plays a huge roll in a game. Clemson looked dead in the stands from the beginning. When Carolina put Tennessee to shame, the crowd was in that game like I have never seen. That took the fight out of Tennessee. We have been hearing all year about Carolinas special teams. I did not realize just how strong they were until the Clemson game. Special teams won that game for South Carolina. Damn good game all around. I can't say what happened to Clemson as I don't watch their games all year.
SC fan here but going to give you props on your analysis of the"huddle" play. Dumb play, dumber decision to put it into the game plan. This was showboating razzle dazzle designed to embarrass your opponent...IF it works. Huge downside if it doesn't... and it didn't. Clemson has a great team and I'll place our rivalry up there with the great ones. But that play will make the lowlights reel in the archives.

It didn't surprise me SC won, I had a feeling it would be a close competitive game an it was. Both teams exchanged Christmas gifts but SC was just the better team tonight and made a few more plays. All ya'll can do now is try to end the season on a high note and get that O fixed in the off-season lol

South Carolina did this little thing at halftime it's called making adjustments so they made a commitment to completely stop the running game and although they didn't completely stop it they damn sure slowed it down. So disappointed in coaching this game how does Shipley only get 2 4th quarter touches when he averaged 9 yards a carry!! And ofc DJ was DJ… so classic. I really hope this is a wake up call for Dabo and coaching staff to change the offensive mentality because beyond DJs play our whole philosophy has become outdated and bland, and we haven’t been able to develop QB or WR play this year and last. Really hope we make big changes and use the portal this off-season to get better that side of the ball. But still 2 games left this season hopefully they can make something good out of it. Carolina fan here. I know the game and the season have been a disappointment for the Tigers, but Don't be too hard on Dabo. At the end of the game when Clemson punted Beamer did not put a returner back there. The ball rolled a good 10-15 yards. I screamed at the TV, "You can't give up those valuable yards. If we have to punt the ball back they will be at midfield." My worst fears were confirmed when the Gamecocks had to punt the ball back to Clemson. Had it not been for the fumble on the return, your Tigers would have had an excellent chance to win that game. No one will remember that decision now because the Gamecocks prevailed, but that was a critical error in my opinion. Just sayin....
We just gave it away. Last year we beat them 30-0 with one of the worst QB1 in the country. This year we score 30 points, again and lose 31-30. What is different? They found a QB1. We didn't.

Carolina fan here. I know the game and the season have been a disappointment for the Tigers, but Don't be too hard on Dabo. At the end of the game when Clemson punted Beamer did not put a returner back there. The ball rolled a good 10-15 yards. I screamed at the TV, "You can't give up those valuable yards. If we have to punt the ball back they will be at midfield." My worst fears were confirmed when the Gamecocks had to punt the ball back to Clemson. Had it not been for the fumble on the return, your Tigers would have had an excellent chance to win that game. No one will remember that decision now because the Gamecocks prevailed, but that was a critical error in my opinion. Just sayin....

We just gave it away. Last year we beat them 30-0 with one of the worst QB1 in the country. This year we score 30 points, again and lose 31-30. What is different? They found a QB1. We didn't.

Off topic here, but you owe Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines apologies for calling him a terrible coach for years. They have the best record in college football over the last two seasons. They were actually firing Don Brown away from having great teams IMO. Clemson needs a QB. I don't think Clubnik is the guy.

Tennessee fan here they tried a fake punt in our game. I want trash your team for I want belittle our win. Next year we might see each other in the playoffs but that’s a hard road in the SEC.
