    Did you say what version of FSD you're using? I'm using version 12.3.6 and using the default settings I noticed how aggressive it was. I toned down the settings especially the one about minimal lane changing and I noticed a lot of the weird lane changing stuff stopped. So overall would you recommend FSD or not?

    • @Full_Self_Driven
      @Full_Self_Driven 29 дней назад +1

      Normally I state the version at the beggining or at least in the description. Might have forgot to input the software number, this was 12.3.6. Normally i stick with normal mode but minimal lane change was not turned on for this drive. I would recommend FSD as long as someone is behind the wheel paying super close attention. The unexpected issues just need to be anticipated if the system is in use.

      @@Full_Self_Driven I agree, you do have to pay very close attention. The one thing I really hate about it is Navigation does not have a setting to let you avoid highways like Google Maps does so it's always trying to force you onto the freeway. tesla do push out junction/road rules for when the FSD isn't reading the junction correctly, so overrides FSD autopilot and directs it to take say the middle lane or correct incorrect phantom lanes that FSD just keeps on trying to change into

    I just came back from about 1000 miles of driving over 3 days with V12.3.6 on a mix of city, suburban, rural and interstate driving. I had two times that I needed to intervene for safety (both in confusing construction zones at night) and once when it was going to turn into the wrong driveway for the Supercharger station. FSD suggested that I change driver profile from Chill to Average which seemed to improve lane change behavior -- changing lanes when appropriate (mostly) and when requested by me. I used it at night and during the day both in areas that I was familiar with and in areas that were unfamiliar. At night, in unfamiliar areas, FSD helped me find where to go when I could not see it plainly with my vision. The oops with finding the Supercharger was critical for me (but not safety critical) since I was arriving with a very low state of charge - 10 miles remaining and I was a little nervous having never had the battery that low in the 3 years I have owned my Model Y.
