Stihl FS 55 - cold start and some grass cutting

- Cold start of one day old Stihl FS 55 brushcutter. I forgot to set it on start, this is why it was so difficult to start later, with wet spark plug. Cutting is done with standard 2.4mm stihl string.
Odpalenie jednodniowej, zimnej kosy spalinowej Stihl FS 55. Zapomniałem uruchomić zapłon i zalałem świecę paliwem, dlatego tak ciężko było mi ją uruchomić. Cięcie żyłką 2.4mm z zestawu.
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Don't strim dog shit, you will get it in your mouth. This happens at least once a week.
Also, damn dude you're cutting is seriously inefficient. Bump the cord out about 2 inches longer... Cut both ways. Trust me I have deadlines and this gets the job done so much faster.
Best performance wuth a blade, whuch allows you to swing on both directions becoming more efficient. Cheers from Costa Rica

not actually showing what you did with the controls is KEY!
First make sure its set for start on the handle, then put the choke on for the first couple of pulls then take choke pf and pull again it should start, let the engine warm up on tick over for a minute then you can use the throttle trigger

+Iyke son Yes it can, I use 230mm two-sided blade. It can go through dry weed, grass and young trees up to 3-4cm in diameter.

Ouch. Forgot to engage in start and kept choke off on cold start. Guess you gotta learn at some point or get an electronic one.
After couple of seasons with this tool I can cold start it hanging from my belt.
If I’d made this video I’d have gone away and learnt to use the strimmer then made a decent one instead. Some people post any old rubbish to RUclips and waste the time of the viewer

Kupio sam fs 55 nov, naredne godine u proljece nece da upali, nema ni goriva u Primer bulb. Odnesem na servis i uzmu mi 70 maraka za novi karburator!!! Kaze majstor to se desi zbog stojanja. Pa necu snjeg kosit sa njim. Znaci ne kupujte fs55 ne isplati se.

Yes, thats two stroke engine, 1:50 oil to gasoline mix.
Remove the spark arrestor, tune the carb and that thing will have more power. Just did mine and this thing runs like a FS91 now.
Will the shaft survive? It's flexible, in FS91 is solid if I am not mistaken.
@@JohnRides I just totally dismantled my FS55R for cleaning and the shaft is very thick, only a small hole down the middle for the little flexible driveshaft. The rest of the pole is sold aluminum or steel so very durable.

Made a big mistake other than strimming slowly u filled the tank up on the grass which fuel kills grass. Been using this strimmer for years with my cousin and love it and guna buy myself on on 7th July when I get payed out from work.
Well, I use this spill-free container so I don't spill any fuel. And yes, FS55 is really good machine, I use it for over a year now, no problems. It's worth every penny.
But right to left keeps clippings out of beds and not along walls. But not all trimmers are the same some spin opposite of others

I bought a fs 55 nov, it won't work next spring, there is no fuel in the Bulb Example. I get it in service and they get me 70 marks for a new carburetor !!! The teacher says this is due to standing. Well, I don't want snow with him. So don't buy fs55 it's not worth it.
