I watched it and ate Sealtest ice cream when I was nine years old. Here I am again, 70 years later.

I have seen this show in years, as a kid I loved it. If can remember it came on Saturday morning. We didn't have a TV so I would slip over to the neighbors house to watch it, until my grandma would look the window and see i wasn't in the yard. That's when the TV screen was round. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting this, Ira! I saw the video you posted of the Sealtest commercials taken from this episode and was wanting to see the show in its entirety.

Gene Crane spent a very long career as announcer, host, newscaster and weatherman at WCAU TV in Philadelphia from it's sign on in 1948 until his retirement in 1994, one year before the station was sold to NBC (CBS moved to KYW TV). During his time there, he also hosted M & M's Candy Carnival, for CBS. He was commercial spokesman on a national basis for Gulden's, Mogen David, Bumble Bee Seafood and Milton Bradley games. Locally, he did commercials for Acme markets throughout the entire 1970's until succeeded by actor Alan Hamel. His son David co-created the long running sitcom Friends. Gene Crane died on 8/26/2019 in Mexico, where he retired to years before, from complications of a fall. He was 99 years old.

This appears to be the September 10, 1955 episode (not 1954) - per the TV Guide issue which lists these same acts for that episode.
