The thing is, Homelander never had to actually fight someone, he only uses his powers and manipulation in order to defeat his "oponents", so that's why he takes a nice beating from Soldier Boy and Butcher. Even so, it took 3 people to actually hold him in place and they STILL couldn't kill him.
That's why homelander is really strong af,and as for the fighting part,in the comics and in diabolical,he was technically given training by elite commandos and soldiers,so he technically knows how to fight,he just doesn't use it until it's necessary.
I mean, it was only two, and those were temporary supers, nothing like a full one and because soldier boy had to step back to charge up that power to blast him.
@@CChissel It was a 3v1 and they still couldn't kill him. Admitting homelander is OP doesn't make you like him and it doesn't take away from the other heroes.. He's just OP. It's okay to admit that.

@@lilblock3564 You’re assuming the wrong thing. I just don’t think he’s as strong as soldier boy, but he has more powers, so he is OP. Like, why did you make up all that shit in your head about how I think just from my one comment? He’s an awesome character, I love him. But again, I just don’t think he’s the strongest, but flight is a pretty big advantage. Also, I don’t think you can expect people with temporary powers that is slowly melting their insides and killing them to be on par with an actual supe that has permanent powers with no side effects.

First time I saw the episode I had to pause and take a moment when he said that first line, came back, unpaused and then he said the second line, and i just had to sit there thinking to myself "why did I not see that coming"

The scene with Ashley and A train is very underrated for me her actress did a really good job in season 3 to me
This shows how strong Homelander is. Three supes couldn't stop him. He was handling Soldier Boy until Butcher stepped in. Also the Homelander mirror scene is amazing television and Anthony Starr should’ve been applauded for it.

@tdxc Nope, if they 'handled' him he would've died or lost his powers right then and there. If the target manages to escape a 3v1 situation, you lost, simple as that.
I really would like to see him in DCEU or MCU, he would be the bitch of any super, he's the strongest only in his universe

Homelander really defended himself against a superhero and 2 people with powers. That shows that he actually is really strong

This was more like comic books than comic book movies. Boss fights don't have to destroy cities and have hordes. When I was a kid, I read comics to see one hero against a villain or another hero. You don't have to save the world or the galaxy. Just survive until next month. In most movies now, the battles end up lost in a cloud. The villain becomes amorphous. Even in Man of Steel, they zoomed out and showed destruction more than the fight.
Actually Homelander is very strong in this scene. He can get out of this. 3 supes (included Sordier Boy) can't hold him.
the herogasm house is the same one as jennifer tillys in chucky season 2

That is fascinating to me, seeing how it's one of the few scenes I found to be exceptionally... infantilizing of the audience? Basically, I found it cliché to the point of immersion breaking.
Another Herogasm has come and gone. It had an explosive climax that no one will ever forget.
The Yummy brown bear line and throwing ropes is a nice vocal cameo by Eric Kripke, the show's creator.
I love how people see the fight of Homelander and start making no sense. How he isn’t that strong? If anything this fight proves HE IS strong asf. Everyone is so bias to the “heroes” but use common sense it’s a 1v3. It’s like Superman fought Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman and Shazam and I say to Superman “Not so strong now huh!”
Homelander fought Soldier Boy 1v1, someone that is described as nearly as strong as him and Homelander beat him without problem, then Butcher saves him and starts fighting Homelander, Butcher with temp v is a mini Homelander and Homelander beat him too, then he fought those TWO at the same time and was winning until Hughie was able to do a surprise attack and they were able to ambush him and pin him down, yet 3 supes have him on his back in the floor and Homelander overpowered them…I know everyone hate Homelander but cmon, stop lying to yourself, Homelander is in a league of his own, he could fly them into space and drop them and there’s nothing they can do about it.

Because it’s lazy written and the writers need to make these inconsistency to create drama because I just read a few days ago something the showrunner said…”Maeve might have won if the fight went any longer” and I don’t want to believe that because if that’s the case then there’s no stakes, they nerfed the hell out of Homelander because Butcher and Maeve alone could’ve beat him all this time. Next season when they try to sell that Homelander is dangerous is bs because they would only need Butcher, Kimiko, Starlight and maybe another supe and that’s it. The whole storyline of getting Soldier Boy is pointless and horrible written, he only gave Homelander a bruise while Maeve was able to make him bleed and supposedly could’ve beat him so there’s no need for anyone else. Literally in Herogasm Butcher and Maeve could’ve killed Homelander so If that’s the case I am taking a lot of points of this show with the writing because it’s horrible written then. 🤷🏽♂️

Butcher made the mistake of trying to match Homelander's strength. To beat him, you need to focus on skill. Without that massive strength advantage, he has nothing. He never had to learn how to fight because nobody could hurt him until now.
@@TimedRevolver I know that's the comic version and it'd be pretty amusing to see him throwing haymakers and flailing around like a middle schooler in a fight, but in the show he can clearly fight as seen here.
@@paulanderson771 Not exactly. The thing is in the comic version and in the show he uses his powers in a lazy way. This was shown in the crashing airplane scene. Also in the comics it was Nior who took him down someone with skill and strength on his level. It hasn't been said if soldier boy has super strength but he's clearly strong.

The last episode of diabolical proves this and it's cannon as well.

i hated how much they hyped herogasm before the episode was out, cause i got into it expecting FILTH, and the only moment that left me open mouthed, was the end with a-train. herogasm was really vanilla. i was like.. "oh? oh..."
