I finally found this! I could just cry because of the epicness. Love this piece. Kudos to the uploader! Now I can finally listen to this and cry at the same time.
I wasn't the only one who found this song. TT. 2002 I listened to this song in the trailer of "The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers" and wondered for 18 years, and finally I found it! I did it! (Actually someone told me):
the only bad thing is that this has been used so much that its no longer taken seriously. i love this music but to use it in anything now would b like using chariots of fire or that corny music used for kiss scenes
The entire point of that movie was that it was filmed through a camcorder, so if they had music playing anywhere but the party scene, it would have ruined the candid effect the movie had, which was why it was so great in the first place.
That's what most people think. People think that because this was the beginning of the song in The Lord of the Rings trailer. It even says on Wikipedia that it has a sample of Marion Barfs.
Oliver Hayhoe Yeah. It gets better there. But I like the full version here better than some of the covers where it starts at 2:19. It makes more sense of a song because it starts out slow.
does anyone know where to buy this exact version. Amazon has lux aeterna, but its slow and melow and the requiem for a tower I find there is a tad different as well. I want to get this version. mainly the epic upbeat part at the end.

Ah yes, the song of RUclips, alongside Dreamscape by Trance
I was wondering if anyone can find the America's Got Talent variation of Requiem for a Tower by Clint Mansell. That theme was slightly changed on America's Got Talent before the host came out.

I found this song because of an comment made on iFunny, in cam video about a man that was about to jump in front of a train and saved by a woman who grabbed him a second before he jumped.
I was doing some research when Requiem for a Tower came on. And suddenly, the fate of the world was dependent on whether I could finish my graph-transversing algorithm before the song ended. It was a race against time, but luckily we're still here.
Fate of the world, you say? I just finished my attempt at a world-saving novel with the protagonist summoning this song on his smartphone. He needs to hear 'the sound of orcs on the march - to face me in battle' (capitalists / religious nutters happy with the ecocide).
Hard iron and cold steel; scalding steam; unstoppable turning wheels with the momentum of countless rail cars; Thomas, the inevitable force; yeah this song makes sense. When Thomas was asked why he had committed all of the merciless horrors he replied with only these few words: "The trains must run on time".
I know this comment is three years old but 'Battle of Dagor Dagorath' syntactically makes no sense. Dagor Dagorath means The Battle of Battles. It was referred to in the Silmarillion just as The End. What you said is The Battle of the Battle of Battles.
What I imagine when I listen to this is that I am a super soldier that is in cryo-sleep in order to prolong life, and then the military reactivates me. I walk out of my cryo tube, get my weapons and armor, and exit the underground bunker that I was in. Then, I see jets flying overhead, then I look in the other direction to see an alien space fleet, invading earth. Around the bunker, nuclear launch silos are preparing for launch, and the orbital defense gun that is one of five around the country, and fires nuclear shells which penetrate the target and then detonate, prepared the magnetic rails that send the shell down its path of destruction. The aliens respond by firing a barrage of lasers, which mostly miss their intended targets. Then, they also launch swathes of small fighter planes. Meanwhile, all weaponry in the area is launched except the nuclear missiles, as they were intended for use as a last resort. The five 203.2mm/8" high velocity super-heavy guns covering the orbital defense gun which were originally intended for obliterating armored airships and a believed threat of "land battleships" (in other words, land vehicles packing immense armor and firepower) penetrated the armor of one of the nine alien warships, but did not go far enough to do serious damage, but just the sheer total of the shells that exploded just inside the armor cracked the port side of the medium-sized warship and caused huge exposure to the innards of the ship. And then the second barrage hit the same areas, and then the ship burst like a banana peel. The orbital defense gun then fires at the flagship that launched the fighters, and turned it into a second sun for a few seconds. There was one flaw about the orbital defense guns; they took a couple minutes to reload. The 203.2mm guns fired on a small sized ship and the ship burst mere seconds after impact of the heavy shells. There were only four small sized ships and two medium sized ships left. They were mopped up easily after the aliens lost morale once the flagship was destroyed. The invasion was repelled, but one thing was for sure; a full mobilization of the orbital fleets of the nations of the world would have to commence immediately in fear of a second invasion.
