      When The Wall was released in 1979, that was the format you would copy it on, reel to reel decks. Or cassette's maybe.

      I remember having a copy of The Wall on good old cassette tape.... LOL.... I must have played "Young Lust" a million times and driven my college roommate nuts! LOL!!!

      yes, totally analog crazy...I have a 2nd gen master of The Wall, unreal!!! I also have other 2nd gen tapes of Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon at 15ips 2 track totally stunning, also Quadraphonic - Wish You Were Here - from a 15ips 2nd gen tape, ah, I hear you say there isn't one, yes there is...very different than the stereo version...

    It looks like you recorded at 15 ips. I believe the machine is 7.5 and 15 ips. Very nice.

    Hey would this be a good machine for home hifi use, for instance recording records to tape for playback etc etc ?

      This deck is designed for studio use but could be used for home hifi recording and listening. Its a half track deck so you wouldn't be able to listen to prerecorded 1/4 track stuff, that would be the only issue but, if you plan to do all your own recording, yes this would be a good machine for that. There are other decks like the Otari MX5050 Biii 2 that are designed for studio use but some use for home hifi stuff, because they sound much better than your standard 1/4 track machines.

    hi got the same model i put 4 track head on this model as the ware on the heads was very very bad i put some head s pick up from the ebay tascam one ace was the word they were better than the head that wear here yes it hi speed deck
    and my mate needed a deck that could read 4 track tapes the deck do go bad i can tell you i have 2 tascam 38 i can't sell on
    because they are players only parting out is something i don't do
