I just pause your video and re-listened. Once add one minute and 49 seconds you say that café corner did not come with any mini fix which is 100% incorrect. I’m not sure why you would say that just a point of correction.
I bought the first 6 when they were first released, skipped a few in the middle which still don’t interest me much, and I have all the recent modulars, some of which haven’t been built yet. Like you, I am also fond of Market Street. I’d rank it somewhere in the middle. It looks good, and I quite enjoyed the build, possibly because much of it was comparatively simple. Sometimes I like good old brick-on-brick assembly where a pleasing result comes along quickly. My favorite is Fire Brigade. I love fire houses in general and this one is just fun and nostalgic! It’s hard to choose between the Diner and Parisian for second place; they’re both so well executed! The Pet Shop doesn’t interest me, at all. For some reason I’ve never warmed to Town Hall and don’t have it either. The same applies to the Cinema, but of the three I don’t own, it’s the one most likely I’ll try to source. I own all the rest. Among those in my collection, I’d probably put the Corner Garage at the bottom. The facade is great and some of the windows techniques are cool, but the stairwell through the garage space really bugs me. Overall, I think it’s still a worthwhile set though.
I was thinking of going for the Assembly square because of the interior, but maybe too advanced. As a started what would you go for? I like the boutique hotel , the bookshop too, but realy they all look so good.
in my opinion, the best modular are the police station and the brick bank coz they're two modular which are actually linked... one has the billboard for 'soap n suds' and one has Soap n Suds 😁
I love your video, my favourite is the Diner too. I love the cinema but the stickers bugged me too. I ended up getting printed piece for that one from Steindrucker in Germany.
My list: 1. Brick Bank 2. Parisian Resturant 3. Police Station 4. Detective's Office 5. Assembly Square 6. Boutique Hotel 7. Natural History Museum 8. Downtown Diner 9. Jazzclub 10. Green Grocer 11. Fire Brigade 12. Palace Cinema 13. Corner Garage 14. Town Hall 15. Cafe Corner 16. Grand Emporium 17. Book Shop 18. Pet Shop 19. Market Street
When one judges something, it should be judged for what it was at the time it was created, and not what it could have been now with new building techniques and all. It’s unfair and not accurate.
I'd argue that's also unfair on newer products or services. Being able to do new techniques or having a decorated interior was part of the idea that they could do something better than the previous. Items should be rated on what they are compared to something else. If one has an interior and the other doesn't...that's justified.
I own every building except Cafe corner, green grocer and market street. I've only built the ones including and after parisian restaurant. I value the sets too much to build them so I keep them sealed. My personal favorite is Brick bank because of how perfectly replicated the art deco architecture is legofied. Least favorite is the bookshop/pet shop because they're meh. Excited about the new museum so I can place it back to back with assembly square.

Whoops, you are correct. I guess these are the things that get lost when you don't get the set in a box
Market Street was made after the cafe corner btw

I like that the assembly square has architecture from the modulars before it
True, i forgot to mention that fun fact about it
I was thinking of going for the Assembly square because of the interior, but maybe too advanced. As a started what would you go for? I like the boutique hotel , the bookshop too, but realy they all look so good.
This is not a very good review, but it is also a very good review

You are correct, Diner IS the greatest modular ever. Boutique Hotel is second and currently Assembly Sq third.
Fun fact: The chinese replica / knock-off of the police station includes a car.
That's amazing, i didn't even know
@@BricksnBits-gm4iw Won't link to it for obvious reasons but yeah it's quite interesting that they picked up on this ommitance.

@@RobTwin i had no idea that was an option, i'll check out their website, thanks!
NIce! If you should group/combine the modulars due to time period, which ones and how would you do that? Need tips. Thanks!

Goes to show that it's ok to acknowledge how Lego sets can age poorly. Good picks though 🙃

I also converted the Police Station into something else: a queer disco :D
you are the only one who put market street in top 3 out of 40 youtuber who ranked the modulars ...looool
I get it, it's not the nicest one visually but it has personal meaning to me which more often than not is the strongest argument
Dude, do you like anything?
I disagree with the metrics used to determine rank

"meh" perfectly describes the Pet Shop, yeah
