@@ThaMightyWon I agree. I never listen to his studio productions. They take away from the magic of his looping mastery. I love the guitar percussion, the muted strings, the clapping, the beatbox, the mouth harmonization and the raunchy real-time effects. It's his magic.

Agreed. His albums need to be just like his performances. Raw and not overproduced. The only one man band I've ever seen that has the ability to produce a fully melodic well rounded sound (as opposed to just a few chords over and over.)

I think his amazing voice always overshadows how good a musician he is. The riffs and beats he comes up with are second to none. The way he plays the guitar while singing is also incredible. Ask any guitar player how difficult it is to play melodies while singing. You almost need two brains for that!

You said it, it's really an overwhelming amount of talent to take in, and he's able to let it all out at once somehow! He's very modest and not show offy with his playing, which is a mark of a killer guitar player. Just incredibly musical all around, not to mention the soulful yet intellectual lyrics....

I had the pleasure of meeting Bernhoft at Sylvia’s soul food restaurant in Harlem, NYC back in 2015 shortly before he gave a concert at the Apollo theatre together with Allen Stone. Bernhoft is an absolute class act and the Bernhoft/Allen Stone concert at the Apollo afterwards is still one of my favorite concerts I’ve ever been to. Absolutely brilliant musician and artist

All I can say is...WHOA!!! Is this guy a unicorn or from another dimension because, I have NEVER SEEN a more talented but innovative musician, except maybe for PRINCE(RIP) If you know anything about music or recording, you can definitely understand how amazing the sky. Really is, layering. His? Own base putting. A? Base string. On a 6 string acoustic guitar and using it for a base and rhythm using his mouth his voice and the back of an acoustic guitar for his rhythm and back. I hear people describe him as "retro soul" all the time. I don't think that's fair to him. This is straight up soul. As contemporary and soulful as it comes.

I've been searching for his music for a while now, after a good friend had showed me when I was demonstrating Ableton. His talent is unreal; it really does take a special skill to be able to sync everything so well, as he does. Very glad to hear his music again.

Don't get me wrong, he's incredible and I love his music (and how insanely good he is live) but he does make a mistake at 1:17. When he turns off the loop pedal he waits just a little too long to turn it back on again.

He is in front of the Roxy. He is at the right place . I have been there, the Rainbow Room , Troupadour when I lived there yrs ago. Bands have to pay to play there and get the audience filled up. Scott Baio came up and said hi to some people at our table ( B movie produce and extra I met at a commercial ). His style, voice are total juxtapose to his appearance. instead of the van this guy should be inside on stage.

Bernhoft is my boy. I have his CD Solidarity Breaks and it is excellent. I heard him the first time by accident while watching the video channel here in Germany with the song C'mon Talk. If you haven't heard that one, you really should check it out. This guy is an amazing one man band. Mr. Bernhoft I have to use the highest compliment we used when I was in the Army. Simply put sir you are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!
Jarle Bernhoft is a multitalented artist, not only making his own my music but also extremely good to play multiple instruments and have played for some of the most famous artist regarded to guitar and bass in studio , and he has a beautiful voice, are able to carry out emotion while singing, especially those songs who really need it, like , even it is not his songs. When it all comes to all, I hope he get the recognize he deserve of being a great artist. Thank you Jarle for sharing your Talent!
