I had the same reaction that you did when I first opened today's gift. Gnomes aren't usually my thing but the more I looked at him, the more he grew on me. Now that I know the story behind him, I'm happy to have this little guy in my sewing room. I had such fun putting together my brick sewing machine yesterday! I ended up assembling the presser foot pieces, attaching it to the brick (pushed all the way up) and then placed the brick on on the machine. Once it was attached, I pulled the presser foot back down. Love your headband for today.
It’s a wool nome pincushion. Watch Jenny’s video. Made in a village in Nepal. Changed their economy. And the Lego sewing machine is adorable. My granddaughter made it in a couple minutes. So cute. I love it too!

Yes, I agreed with your reaction. I do not like gnomes BUT if it helps others, then Im cool with that. My least favourite item but there is so much joy in this box!
At first I wasn't sure what to think either, but he's cute. On the plus side, wool is supposed to be good for our pins. I think I'll keep him and add him to my pincushion collection. Thanks for another fun advent day!
I agree Kris not everything is for everyone and I think my likes are very similar to yours 😊. There are a few things that I don’t care for and wouldn’t buy but like I said not everything is for everyone. Have a good days and take some time to sew
Stick the Gnome in your quilt room Christmas tree, as an ornament. Maybe Jenny should have included a small note/explanation of what/where this came from, the story behind it.
Hi Kris, yes I watched Jenny's video 1st, I understand why the gnome doll was given, cool concept, loved the reason. It's kinda cute. Will have to watch my cat, she has already gotten it once.(She loves felted wool) so probably won't be using as a pin cushion. LOL
I didn’t like the sewing machine at first, but I do think it looks cute in my sewing room with all my other trinkets. I was a little confused as the parts I got for the top didn’t match the photo. I got only one teal colored lego. Guess I got a white one instead for the very top of the machine for that middle spot. And I didn’t even consider the one with the loop to be used as a hanger for an ornament, I was thinking it was the loop for the thread path! It was pretty easy to put together otherwise!
We live in NC and for Christmas this year my husband is taking me to Hamilton - I can shop on Dec. 26 and I’m hoping thst just maybe a few of the items in this year’s box might be available! But even if not I’m sure I will be able to find all kinds,of goodies! He’s going to drop me off in Hamilton and spend the day (or till I call him back!) at our hotel in Chillicothe!!! He’s already looking up a few places there that he will be able to enjoy😂😃😂! Our family in Colorado decided they weren’t going to celebrate Christmas this year - what fun (not) for our 5-1/2 year old Granddaughter and our 2 year old Grandson (who probably won’t notice anyway!!!
Hmmmm. I know there are a few who do 12 Days of Christmas. Watch Fallon from @sewbeitquilts series from Open Gate Quilts. Here's Day 9's video: ruclips.net/video/n0adIzwaemo/видео.htmlsi=RTIvctVUgdBf21Hg
This has been the best Jenny box ever just for the fun of watching you. Lol. I have a question: what kind of sewing table is behind you. I am getting rid of an old fashioned double sewing table and one machine, and need a table for just the one extra old machine now. I’ve been shopping Horn and Arrow and looking at IKEA. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas.
I watch Jenny’s video before judging the gifts. Usually there is a story behind the gifts. Last night video was absolutely wonderful. I hope you keep the gnome. Mine has a place on my table by my chair.
@dorenefarr9490 Hi! The link is on the cardboard insert in the box, but I can give it to you! Here it is: www.missouriquiltco.com/pages/jennys-christmas-box-unboxing?srsltid=AfmBOoreTg9g5DAbgTQLu3QJ41rCbuB72eZ4dvCO2-ojMNhZ_1CaDTAl Scroll down on this page to see each day. Hope this helps!
I felt the same way when i opened him, then i watched Jennys video. Now....I absolutely love him. Never have too many pin cushions. Counting down.....yay!!!!
Tomorrows present.... maybe a clip board with a pen? I have no idea. I would never in a million years guessed a lego sewing machine and the gnome pincushion? is he. gnome guardian of the sewing machine? See you tomorrow.
I love the little gnome. I do a bit of handsewing in the evenings and I'm always loosing my needles in the sofa or knocking over my pin holder so I think he's going to sit next to my and maybe I won't be so apt to get a poke from time to time.
You have to watch Jenny’s video. It is a pincushion l. She had them made in a village in Nepal which helped change their economy. They are hand sewn. Gnomes are supposed to be good luck.
@ aww, don’t beat yourself up, I felt the same way about yesterday’s gift, then I read a bunch of favorable comments on Facebook. So I built it and now like it ( I never did any Legos projects so wasn’t much of a fan).
@@SewtheDistance. No apologies necessary Kris. We all get taken aback at times. Instead now REJOICE in the fact that ( through Jenny) you helped change someone’s life for the better. Yes, Jenny initiated it, but we buy the boxes that make it happen. I’m not a gnome fan, but I am a fan of “giving”, especially when it is in the form of a “hand up” and not a “hand out”. Kudos to MSQC for including that and reminding us quilters of the reason for the season. Which you do, by the way, with each and every video. Much LOVE to you Kris, you’re amazing! ❤️💗❤️
😂 a gnome voodoo doll 😂 it is a pin cushion. I am also not a gnome person. Per Jenny, these were made in by a village in Nepal. The purchase of these have changed the lives of those people. That info makes this a wonderful, good feels item.
He's cute. I do like him a bit more now that I know he was made in a village in Nepal and that MSQC is helping that village by putting these in boxes. 😬 Kind of feel like a jerk now!
Jenny said something earlier in the year that there'd be something from Nepal in this box. I was picturing some kind of pretty embroidered pouch or embroidery kit. Didn't expect a wool gnome with a mushroom hat, lol. Oh well, first thing I thought of was using it for a pincushion.
Your husband’s gift is so fun! As other’s have said, I appreciate that the gnome helped a village in Napal. I collect gnomes and love to knit them. But I also collect pin cushions, so… win-win! 😄 Isn’t the sewing machine gift fun? It’s one of my favorites 🎄
I never really liked gnomes anyway, on anything - fabric, tote bags, mugs, t-shirts, or anything else, but I thought it was a passing fad. But now that they have been all over everything for the past few years, I am sick of seeing them everywhere all the time. I was over them from the beginning. I guess it's a good thing I didn't purchase this advent box. I do make sizeable donations to charities in my own city, county and state.
Good Morning from chilly, warm sun, beautiful day in Florida! Kris, I feel as though we’ve become “Besties” over these fun filled days! It’s wonderful!🫶🎄🫶
You know, I think you’re right! I love our little virtual community! 🥰 My husband is currently out snow blowing! I think I am going to have to go to Florida!
According to Jenny this is a felted wool pin cushion, made in A village in Nepal. By sending business there it helps the village. I am not crazy about nomes like Jenny, but he is cute and a pin cushion is practical. Day 22 is difficult to figure out. A small project?? Oh well, have to wait.😊 Have a Blessed Day. Deborah Powell
Our felted gnome is from Nepal. It helped raise funds for the people there. How cool is that.

It's hard to believe the 25 days are almost over. Loved watching your expression for today's gift.😅
I’ve really enjoyed your videos of the Christmas Box! Merry Christmas!🎄
I love the nome! I do wish we were getting more fabric projects but I’m loving this years box.
The gnome made me laugh, much better than the silly button. He’s perched in my sewing room with the felted Santa I made.
I had the same reaction you did, until I watched Jenny's Day 21. Now I'm proud to own it. LOVE the headband!!!

Thanks to your videos, which I’m loving, I’ll be buying Jenny’s Advent Quilt Box next year. Maybe tomorrow’s is fabric and a template. Can’t wait😊
Crazy headpiece!🤣 Yes, strange little gnome. He makes the other ‘opening treats’ all the sweeter! 🇨🇦
I LOVE the lego sewing machine!
A gnome voodoo doll……good one😂
Oh! Love your button 🎉
