If Korea ever gets united they should let the north take care of the classic songs
Even their choir guys are four star generals
not really those are grades in chorus
They are officers ranking from Lieutenant to Sen. Colonel, no generals.
Lol no these guys don't have the correct coats to be a 4 star general they are important but they aren't at the very top
These medals are most likely participation medals of diplomatic/domestic events instead of war medals. The Soviets use a similar medal system to accolade contributors of various fields or participants of certain activities. (Such as cleaning the Chernobyl aftermath or simply staying in the choir for 5-10 years)
@@zhl518 It's like how American soldiers get an award just for completing boot camp, except American awards are just a thin strip and the North Koreas get huge medals.
Its also the morning wake up melody
It's strange how they chose to start everyone's day off with a song that sounds like it belongs at a funeral.
@Tamaz Okruashvili I think their conditioned so hard that they would choose it theirselves willingly now.
@República Confederal Hispánica no it's fucking not. Listen to the version played every morning there, sounds nothing like this
@@PickleRick91x Their speakers are old af. Stop trying to smear north korea
@@PickleRick91x It is the same song, they blast it through very old speakers at max volume (hence distortion) because there are very few of them around Pyongyang, which is why it sounds very off.
THE MOST highly decorated choir in history ....
What a touching song, I searched KPA choir version for months!
It suddenly takes you back 50 years in the past and in a quite beautiful way.
Musical training in DPRK is clearly top notch.
Well think about it, if they skipped a note or had a voice crack they would have to die or do free labour, in my opinion, this is not an good and beautiful sound, this to me is the sound of internal hopelessness and the complete and utter neglect of an entire nation from one fat dictator and the need for freedom being taken away and just out of reach of them. And just over a mine field and extremely guarded fence is that freedom and the life that every citizen living in this sad country deserves.
@@cumception6999 I don't believe fear is the primary motivator here. These are all officers, with various decorations on them. Decorations they've earned through a long service to the state. It's very likely they are just motivated by their passionate love of their country and its founder, the general in the song, Kim Il Sung. Now I don't think the DPRK is some sort of proletarian paradise on earth, don't get me wrong, but it's not one big konzentrationslager where everyone - the people at the top included - live in perpetual fear of being iced for one misstep, like the propaganda will have you believe.
@@cumception6999 its unbelievable how much western propaganda has done to the minds of individuals who think they are above the world, that for some reason a singer would get sentenced to death for some underperformance as resembling as an Asian parent expecting no mistakes from their children, just racist stereotypes and an unappreciation of culture that stems from ignorance to try and separate the people and culture from their government they uphold
@@cumception6999Utter and complete bullshit. Your idea of the DPRK is almost cartoonish. I know that this comes from all sorts of anti-socialist indoctrination, but wtf.. I just can't believe what people actually think sometimes
@@colostomybag2899Fear is the primary motivator for everything in NK. Kim had his translator executed after the meeting with Trump, because of a falsely translated sentence.

I am not in favor of North korean regime but I really love this performance. It is so touching!

I don’t support the regime but I gotta admit I like their uniforms, especially their hats.

Polyushko-Polye
This is actually a pretty catchy song. It would go viral if they had internet there. Its got that sad endured hardships through war, brotherhood and prevailing as a country with overwhelming emotions of pride with a touch of Rushki'esque flavoring. "Stay warm my comrads...winter is coming"- Every Rushki to every North Korean
They hear this song (different version sounds like shit compared to this ) twice every day, so it's very popular there, known by everyone.
@@ahmadja3far397 Yea I think they play it every morning as their wakeup call. Its like in the middle east but its not a prayer to God its a prayer to their dear leader instead.

Amazing song and performance
Anyone wondering why north Korea continues to exist and is so stable have the answer from this video , the country not only produces nukes and missiles but also outstanding culture and music and any system capable of that is bound to be a valued system.
They never had a single form of rebellion in all of their years. I wonder why.

Absolutely sad dictatorship.
The sad and tragic human desire that many fight against to have someone strong and oppressive to rule over you to feel a sense of safety; dangerous conforming. Lethal.
Or to suppress and oppress others, your own kind, for your own, twisted, delight. Sad. Painful.
We will push forward against this pandemic and unite in the future for a better democracy!
