- Ever wonder how our computers, cameras, and other devices communicate with SD cards? Well, one way is through the Serial Peripheral Interface or SPI. In this video, we discuss this simple synchronous protocol and how it is used to pass information between a controller and one or more peripherals.
Takeaways: At the completion of this lesson, each student should be able to:
• describe purpose and use of each physical connection of the SPI interface;
• interpret the SPI protocol; and
• describe the pros, cons, and applications of SPI.
