This is some real quality content. 20 great designs summed up in less than 5 minutes. Honestly, some of those models were so good that if it weren't for this video, I would have never guessed you made each of them in a day!
@@BB-km5nv Well, it depends on the size of the part, and on your printer and its settings. But smaller parts can definitely be printed in that timeframe. More complex designs can take a lot longer to print though.
@@BB-km5nv Depends what machine you have and what kind of quality you want to get. You get a larger nozzle so it prints out with thicker plastic, fine details are not replicated as well. But it can print much faster. You can also adjust the infill of a model. I could print something in solid plastic and could take 20 hours, or I could make it nearly hollow and print in just a few hours.
The adjustable phone stand is definitely my favorite. You could tell the days where you were more inspired and the days you weren't. What if instead of 20 designs in 20 days; 1 design, 20 updated versions in 20 days?
I wish I had someone like you as a friend. I’m the only one of my friends that likes to design stuff. I push through as hard as I can but having someone pushing along too would help.
Another idea for a use for the icecream maker, Use it as a part tumbler, add some sort of garnet or abrasive (dry sand would probably do) to ~third full. Add parts that the surface needs improving on, close up, turn on and leave for a good couple of hours. Note: It will matt the finish of 3d prints, could even be desired if you're painting them. This is actually what I thought it was before it was explained otherwise in the video.
I think some these would take over 24 hours to design and 3d print. Just printing alone some of these look like they would take like 10 hours. Really good video though with some cool ideas.
Maaan this is awesome! It really inspired me to do something like this because I think sometimes the hardest part is just sitting down to design something, ANYTHING :) (also, you should totally cut this into 20 YT shorts, I bet you’d go viral.). Cheers my dude
Great stuff, thanks for the inspiration! I want to make a variation of the Day 2 Desk Organizer. I also really like the Day 3 Phone Stand, and Day 5 Coaster.
My thought process would be daily items with a twist on it. For example a hand sanitizer holder which dispenses alcohol with the use of cam gears. What I'm thinking is an upside down stand for the bottle, then a crank handle leading to two gears which have cams on the end, which in turn squeezes out sanitizer. This could also have a slot for a tiny 180 degree servo motor to automate dispensing with the push of a button! Ah I love overengineered solutions to already solved problems. Another way of coming up with ideas is novelty items, like the magnetic gears or the experimental phone stand. You can also reinvent daily items with science to make them more effective, like the drink cozy. Phone stands should also have their own category, a quarter of this video is spent talking about phone stands lol This comment took me so long to write
I'm torn between the Phone stand and the phone stand. Oh, but the phone stand is really good too, also can't forget the phone stand. Made a lot of those lol. But good stuff, I'd be burnt out and crying 4 days in.
it's amazing the shortcuts your brain creates on a daily challenge streak like this, prototype times become shorter and efficiency grows allowing you to make more amazing things in less time.
Looks like you have the same issue I have with that matter hackers quantum PLA. The colors don’t really shift like they’re supposed to but it’s more like one side is blue and one side is pink
good job, I can design but I end up printing and redesign at least 3 times until my tolerances work lol I wish I knew what tolerances work for various print in place things.
I was having the same issue on my printer. I manually calibrated the stepper motors and extruder and can now print to accuracy of like 0.1mm. You should try looking it up and seeing if it improves
Dear diary: I today I learned who to blame for the (admittedly cool) ice cream machine that has been clogging up my reddit, thingiverse, youtube, and thangs pages.
I believe he meant that each one has to be designed differently, not that they have to be something that hasn't been potentially designed similarly by someone else> Aka all the designs He makes have to be unique in how they work, not what they do himself, and visibly different. Not that they all have to be completely unrelated ideas.
Great work! New subscriber. I'm trying to figure out how to mechanically make arms move horizontally by pressing a lever vertically. Anyone have any ideas!?🙏
This one guy did a Ted talk I think on how he thought about 10 new ideas a day and would write them down and overtime he just became this idea machine, kinda reminds me of this
How can you even print, let alone design print fix print fix etc. a thing like the marble course in one day? Printing this once should take a day or more.
I present to you a phone holder. Here is another design it is a phone holder. My next design is a phone holder. Finally my last design is this phone holder

1. Amazing project/designs
2. 🤯 editing on this video is real damn good! Straight to the point content!
Really like the 3 position tablet stand. Super simple but effective 🙂
The phone's stand with the worm gear is amazing. Really amazing. If you scale you can use it with a hundred other things

He probably has plenty of 3d printers to be printing designs even if the previous one is still printing.
Great job with these! I especially love the magnetic gears :)
15% were phone stands. Great work!

This is awesome! The only thing I'm missing is the recipe to make the really awesome icecream xD
edit: I found your other vid lol
"I designed and 3D printed" OKAY WE FUCKING GET IT
The fox is so cute!
i love the part where he said unique, and how there is nothing unique in what he did xDDD
"Day 1 - I designed and 3D printed a turd"
If i had a printer, this sentence would be true
Yo, great work dude. Greetings frome Norway
Take a shot every time he says "I've designed and 3d printed", and you'll be absolutely smashed in 10 minutes
That´s not possible !!! Video ist just 4:44 long... ;-)
thx for letting us download all of this model for free!
What program u use???
Great video!!!
the 3 position stand is cool have only one problem the big size
Some one get this man a better cad program. Keep it up though this stuff is cool
The helical gear container, so satisfying to watch, damn.
The ice cream maker.. Now that was really neat and nice.
Gear Fridge Magnets! :)

some quality products there I would like 1 or 2 myself. top job.
This is actually insane
The ice cream disign is preety neat!
the worm gear mobile phone stand is awesome
And the channel 3D printer academy is amazing
Awesome work. Thanks for sharing.
I liked the FLOX 😊
i love the ice cream one🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wonder how much filament this took...
Super cool bro. I have yet to 3D print one single object 🥴 kind of need a printer for that lol
9 and 18 peeked my interest

yes they are phone stands but it doesnt mean they are the same phone stands

I liked the phone/tablet stand
Your background music reminds me of the Covid death counter😬
The jar rotater/shaker/icecream maker
Hmm i wonder what i should make today you know what how about a phone stand
Must have been his thought process lmao
that great. i like it.

How does the one on day 13 work I’m assuming it’s not a perpetual motion machine
perpetual motion is impossible, he hid a motor on the back

Can 3d printer make plastic parts in one hour or less or that's not possible
it mostly depends on the size of the model and the solidity. most of the models in this video probably took well over five hours.
@@raymondelder5004 so in your knowledge no printer in the market can accelerate it to one hour the part that's need eight or six hour
