when i saw electric conversion I thought you added an electric starter.....but holy shit!! definitely in the top three re-powers I have seen .
    Fantastic work!!!
with a snow plow that has to be weirdly quiet.....

Thanks, Yes it' really quiet. I like also that there is no gas smell and no brainer startup. The snow does not melt on it, so there is no ice build up. It stay much cleaner also, there is no soot and much less oil deposits on the transmission case. We have a big winter here and it's perfectly reliable. Nothing broke or seems to wear. Crossing fingers:-)

Terrific conversion, very clean. Where is the best source for motor?

I found this motor used on endlessphere forum. Ebay could be a good source.
You can use many motors as long as they are powerfull enough.
It requires around 10kW max. I use the whole transmission as a heat sink. just get warm enough to melt snow, maybe 70F if hard work.
Average power is like 2 or 3kW
There is turning involved. it's not a simple ''bracket building'' conversion.
You need a 10kW inverter too.

I dont know exactly maybe 30 minutes. But I can clear my driveway between 1 and 3 times before recharging. It depends to a large extent to snow conditions. That said I dont have "range" anxiety because I can clear the whole driveway in one charge even with most heavy snow.

I would love to know how you connected this motor. I have a 50s Gravely L that I am trying to convert to electric and would like some advice if you have time. Thanks.

I have turned on a lathe an adapter plate and shaft. The whole internal setup mimicks the ICE engine installation. You will need a good puller and good heat to remove the gear from the engine. it's press fit and there is like 0.001'' interference fit (on my version of gravely)

michelcote Thanks. I have started taking mine apart but I’m not sure where I want to attach the motor yet. I’m hoping to keep as much of the drivetrain in tact as I can. Your machine looks very clean and solid. Very nice job you did. Thanks for the reply!

@@carlquerfurth9993 the way I did it, I can revert back to gas engine. You dont have to cut anything from the transmission. It s a plate that center the motor shaft with the planetary gears. I then mounted the engine gear on the electric motor. I had to turn 2 parts. The rest is brackets to hold the motor controller. I had enough batteries capacity with 1.8 kWh. This was enough for 45 minutes of a pretty good workout. Those eat snow like crazy.

@@michelcote I'm having a little trouble getting the crankcase off. The camshafts are pressed on pretty tightly and the magneto has that timing pinion. How did you get them off? Heat? A puller? Or, did you leave that all assembled somehow? Again thank you so much for your advice!!
