what a beautiful tribute to a brilliant and talented man who acted heroically for decades after a tragic accident. a tribute to his spirit, and his friendship with the great Dean Torrance. May God bless you for putting this together. wonderful.
We lost a great and talented genius who loved to experiment with all kinds of music. I was very fortunate enough to see Jan and Dean in the early 80s . Jan was more than ready and together the Dynamite duo put on a great show. I seen Dean in Las Vegas in a somewhat private concert . I can definitely speak for their fans that the sun never sets on a legend. Jan lives on with his trusty sidekick and companion Dean in interviews and the music which will forever remain their legacy in music history.
Jan & Dean were pioneers of great "Pop Music" and way talented than 95% percent of this bands and performers in already. So underrated and such a powerful team! Jan Berry like Brian Wilson could do it all and damn, I loved this guy and Dean Torrance just as much. Jan Berry, was a producer, singer, performer, engineer, enthusiast, a mover a shaker and one hell of an entertainer with such a great personality! God Bless Jan and Dean for bringing so much to music! There will never be anything like them again...special people, special time, and special charisma!
Very nicely done! A moving tribute to the great and courageous Jan Berry. I love Dean's "California Lullaby" and Jan's version of "Sunshine". Jan & Dean were really true, genuine friends and this presentation certainlt reveals this.
What a brave live performance from Jan, and it has a nice, Byrds-like guitar arrangement. Jan was lucky to have such a noble, stand-up guy for a friend like Dean Torrance. The one thing that I didn't like about the TV movie 'Dead Man's Curve' was that Richard Hatch's performance in it made Jan seem like a not-very-nice, egocentric a-hole. I sure hope that he was a nicer guy in real life than the way that movie portrayed him. Regardless, he was super-talented and brave, and I still can't believe that he survived that horrendous car crash.
dean wrote the screenplay so I feel like if it wasnt true dean wouldnt of written it, and jan was, after dean revived the group and had them booming with the movie again, jan gave it all up for coke. Dean talks in his book about jan wanting control over everything and was mad because he wasnt as smart as he used to be and lost all power (with dean needing to put rules foward with jan and his dad)
JAN BERRY THE MIRACLE BEFORE AND AFTER... PHASE ONE THE STUDIO AND MUSIC GENIUS PHASE TWO A MAN WITH NO BOUNDARIES AND WILL TO ENTERTAIN DESPITE THE STRUGGLE OF THE PERMANENT INJURIES FROM THE NEAR FATAL WRECK...
Thank you so much for sharing all the Jan & Dean video's, etc. I still remember where I was when I heard about Jan's terrible car crash on the radio. I was 13 years old and I cried.
Such a nice video. California Lullaby such a nice tribute by Dean. 2:04 Jan has a "Tommy James" hairstyle., nice picture ♥. (Jan wore the hairstyle better, btw)
