How you brake down how to answer the ?s is helpful and giving me alot of understanding on how to answer these ? Correctly. I will be taken the exam a second time and this has been helpful.
I got this one wrong, I was thinking safety first, and since client wanted to know social worker's opinion, I thought that was the answer because it concerned her safety. I assumed going down the path of what changes he has made would validate a potentially dangerous decision.
Should suggesting couples therapy even be an option? I thought in cases of DV there should not be couples therapy. Would couples therapy be back on the table for consideration now that the husband is getting treatment?
It should NOT be an option in a DV situation, especially for YOU the SW, which is why this not the answer. In this case, because she is considering going back to the situation and he's taking anger management classes, it would be a better option than just sending her back to the situation as is. They definitely should put in some work together before jumping back in blindly. But, ultimately, you are correct, definitely don't recommend couple's therapy in DV situations. Individual therapy for both of them is better (which they both are already doing in this scenario.) Great question!

Thank you. Stay tuned for more. Good luck & keep me posted!
Thank you for the breakdown of focusing on what is being asked.
