abseloutly , i can confirm that bros , i got jumped by the dog and got hit by melee once on my run . i highly advise you doing it on low tensity envirement on the map where you protect the train & stay behind your team mate and always check your six to avoid been hit ofc . i got it on my second attempt
The Pox Hounds are easily the most dangerous enemies here. Friends and I didn't get the penance after being struck down by a dog for only 1-2 seconds, taking no "real" health damage. The theory is, that dogs pinning you down do some kind of phantom damage relatet to this penance. We didn't test this, just our observation. Dogs also do chip damage to anyone in the path of their target if they have startet their attack animation. Just getting slightly touched by it will give you true healt chip damage, ignoring toughness, as long as they are jumping anyone near you.
Got this first try after this video. However, I did it on an assassination mission on malice and I know getting through the gutters sucks but once you get half way to the end it gets easier you just gotta make sure you have allies on your rear and front and at least one more toward the right. I did this with randoms btw. And when you fight the boss, stay away! Be by the elevator and just rapid fire and check you exposed side after every volley. It wasn't easy but it became possible

Update: I can confirm it, if you only get toughness damage from melee attacks you still can get the penance done. BUT Many enemies have some attacks (heavys) that damages your toughness and your HP even thou if you have still enough toughness left ich hatte über 100 thoughness durch trinkets und habe mich mal hitten lassen von standart mobs je nach hit ziehen die aber einen thoughness UND leben ab obowhl man noch genügend thougness hat auch der hund zb kA wie du das gemacht hast. ich habs mal versucht mich zu beginn in den abgrund zu stürzen und tot zu bleiben wärend meine 3 kollegen die mission fertig spielen ohne mich hat aber auch nicht funktioniert
Sicher, dass du auch auf der dritten Schwierigkeitsstufe gespielt hast? Ich wurde 100% gehittet von Melee und habe es trotzdem bekommen. Normale Hits von Poxwalker auf 100% Toughness ziehen bei mir kein Leben ab. Eventuell eine Explosion abbekommen? Gruß Alphan

@@berserk3860 ich habe nachgeschaut, ich habe nur max health als def in meinen trinkets, kein toughness. es besteht aber aufjedenfall die möglichkeit, dass es verbuggt ist, wäre ja nicht der einzige bug im game ^^ das auch der trick mit dem hängen lassen nicht funktioniert hat wundert mich. ansonsten schau mal im stream vorbei und wenn die map gerade verfügbar ist können wir es versuchen. *EDIT habe gerade nachgeschaut, du kannst bei feats ja auch deine toughness allgemein verändern, z.b. , dass du toughness über eine sekunde generierst, eventuell hatte das geholfen.(das hatte ich aktiv bei beinem run). ansonsten wüsse ich jetzt auch nicht weiter.
@@alphan87 habe es mittlerweile geschafft, hatte Glück mit sehr freundlichen randoms die mir geholfen haben zwei psyker und ein zealot wahre Helden. Kann bestätigen das wenn nur schaden auf toughness kommt und keiner auf die die HP, bekommt man den Erfolg was melee Attacken angeht. Aber man muss extrem aufpassen weil selbst die standart "Zombies" heavy Attacken haben die beides abziehen können toughness als auch HP das gilt natürlich auch für alle anderen Gegner beim Hund speziell bin ich mir aber nicht ganz sicher wenn er länger auf einen kaut bekommt man corruption ob das den erfolg beeinflusst, der Sprung und glaub der erste biss jedoch gehen rein auf toughness
this shit is so annoying. im trying to join a low intensity mission that isn't in progress and the game refuses to let me do so, but i cant get the penance if its already in progress!?
hello, you just need to avoid health dmg from melee through the whole game. so you didnt received any damage through your game and still didnt get it ? it doesnt count, when you get damage and heal up afterwards. damage from shooters does not count, just avoid meele health damage. there is also a possibilty of a bug, this game is sometimes glitching or whatever.
I had the same thing happen. I didn't take hp damage from any source, I didn't use any heal, but I did not get the penance. Maybe just a bug but its pretty annoying to actually meet the criteria and not get the reward.

Actually yes it should be the case, mutants, hounds do also count. Several people had the same experience. Maybe its bugged sometimes but normally you should be able to get it.

Kill your character using a fire barrel and get revived by a friend just before you finish the mission. Recomend doing it on a game with a team that knows what you're doing.
What an un-fun POS challenge this was. I spent most of the mission blocking and watching my @$$ while hiding behind my team mates who were kind enough to understand my predicament. This challenge should be thrown out the airlock! Make every shot count as well!
Yes, the penances are putting you under pressure to be a bad teammate:/ . You can cheese the other penance.alt + f4 at the end of the mission with only 1 ammo left then join and shoot one easy target and change to melee.
@@alphan87 I did actually, just about 20 minutes after i posted that =D It was one of the smoooothest missions and best teams i have ever had and no one said anything to anyone until the end =D
@@alphan87 Actually i did that one the VERY NEXT MISSION, 0_0 my hand still has cramps... went with a shotgun, only fired into crowds, and once out of ammo i went to melee and never took it out again. It does not count ammo that was regenerated via your aura as long as you don't pull it out again, same with ammo given on revive from capture. otherwise it would be bats**t insane to do =D
I got so damn lucky unlocking the first one and a half tiers of penance cosmetics gear for the veteran by accident playing till Max level. I have two left on the third tier of penances. So two more easy ones before I get the black guard helm with the face mask

Just got it second try,did a low intensity mission with hounds. Nearly crashed and burned but last second reflexes helped lol
