our band does most of their cadences but with a different dance and drum beat.
our band director went to OU in 97, so our uniforms and everything are like theirs. check out the CNE marching band video where we play Crazy Train, it kicks ass!

Wow. Our band (The JHSMB) does the FUNK (the dance you guys do at the begginning of this video) after every game we win. This week is our Apple Festival and we had to FUNK with our lower class men. Seeing this shows how hard you guys work. Our band director, Jenna McCoy, was in the OSU band and has high exspectations from us. After seeing how you guys preformed I can see how we can improve in our dancing and our marching. As for singing well....there's always one thing now isn't there? ^.~

Have you ever seen them in person? I was literally 15 feet away from them and they showed that they were having fun and they were entertaining the crowd.

I hate arguing online, it's stupid but I cannot deal with someone questioning our professionalism. We are the most professional band I've ever seen, on and off the field. Yes, we do have fun, but everything we do is for the audience. The last thing we want to do in 90 degree weather and wool uniforms is these dances, but people love them, so we suck it up and do it. Everything is for the audience. What we do is very hard and can be fun, but usually isn't. It's exhausting.

Just as HBCU bands and the 110 wouldn't 'last against' DCI Corps - They cannot be compared

The members of the 110 are ambassadors of Ohio University and have shown that in the many performances and travels throughout the years. When the 110 travels, they strive to 'leave places cleaner than they found it'. If that's not a staple of professionalism, then what would be? I've seen bands who can play and entertain a crowd, but how they act outside of performing just belittles their University. It's all around, not just in their performances, this so called "professionalism".

@joemaddux Thats our photographer and we were told not to hurt him... but we made sure to make it a giant pain in the butt if he wanted to get in the block to take pics.

Hence my, "they cannot be compared" in my response. I am a former member of the 110 and trust me, I know differences.

I'm not finishing that chant, because it's OSU's not, Ohio's. Even though we're called Ohio.... stupid A&M college in columbus hehe

Yeah, I bought "drumline" - worst mistake ever. Aside from the terrible acting by Nick Canon, it was just silly and not very believable. I've seen battle of the bands before, it's neat, but I think "Who's the best" competitions are too subjective. No one is "better" than the other, only different.
