Be Still, And Know That I Am God

February 7, 2016 - What does it mean to be still? It means to admit defeat and to come to the end of ourselves so that we can cease from the striving and struggling to be Godly in our own strength. Today, God is inviting us to let go of those things that seem to be Godly, but has its fuel source in human effort and to come to Him so He can be God to you. The deepest work of God is the quiet work that’s goes on in the inward work of our heart.
This sermon will only get more and more timely as the darkness spreads across this sad world of ours

Watching it on 1st April 2021. God's words will never go back to Him not accomplishing what they are sent for. What a powerful message even in 2021. Heaven and earth will pass away but not God's words! They are here to stay forever and ever. Blessed is the Name of Our God. Amen.

Wow! I needed to here this I am going Thur a trial in my life and have been praying because today was a hard day for me n I heard a voice tell me be still n know that I Am God

What a blessed truth... We live by the promises of God, not human effort.
Listened to this the day it was preached, with no idea whatsoever how much my efforts were still entirely founded upon human understanding, human strength. Listened to it again, just now, in the midst of enduring complete, yet alternating physical, mental, and emotional incapacitations--mercifully, these things. Through incapacitation, the Lord has delivered me (and is yet still delivering) from my own efforts...from myself. In places of impossibility, He has shown Himself so strong on my behalf: Being trapped between a rock and a hard place has left no choice except to completely collapse upon the Rock of my Salvation. Oh, praise the Lord!
He is so gracious, so good for this! Listing to this sermon again, now, there's so much greater peace and joy for being boldly reminded that our only hope IS Christ. Who is willing. And merciful.
I thank the Lord often for Pastor Conlon and for the entire ministry of Times Square Church. You are all such a blessing to me and to who knows how many countless others. May God continue to richly bless with every blessing which is ours through our Precious Saviour, King, and Redeemer--forever to be praised and glorified!--the Almighty Prince of Peace, Lord Jesus Christ!

friend of god.... The heart IS deceitful! Only GOD can judge a persons heart.. as HE is the only one who knows. We shall REPENT, turn from our sin & pray to be saved by the blood of the Lamb! Only through Jesus Christ, can we be bridged to The Father! All glory to GOD!!! Amen!

Lately all pastor carter conlons comments are being disabled
This man has a lot of good teachings yet the Blood of Jesus does not cover our sins. It washes them away but also you can walk away from God by your choices and actions and lose your salvation. Read all of Hebrews slowly and prayerfully before you respond. Paul who everyone loves is the author.... (Hebrews 6, 7 and 10:26-32)
And then why are you commenting like a disturbed person?
