I get the same exact results with neosporin, same exact bandaid covering. I put it on my cracked skin and the bandaid right before bed. Feels much better in the morning heals much faster when I do this. A little bit of neosporin goes a long way and soaks into skin, no mess, no pasty gunk.
Sometimes I take latex gloves and cut the end off. Then I take one of the ends and I put it one cracked thumb or finger with balm of your choice, which sometimes for me might be coconut oil, olive oil or even Neosporin if I have tiny cuts. A tiny drop of super glue can hold the tiny cuts together and the skin will shed the glue when a new layer pushes from below.
Thanks for the video but try a glove.I put a big glob of this stuff(dime size) on my thumb tip then band aid then a surgical glove and then go to bed and BOOM soft in the morning but dries back out during day
Fastest way I've found to stop the cracked fingertip pain and close the cracks, is put a drop or 2 of (cyanoacrylate containing) Super Glue/instant glue in the crack, then sprinkle A&H baking soda over it (causes it to dry instantly & very hard), lightly brush away the powder, flex the tip to inspect for other cracks if any and seal them up too. 1 - 5 min. & you're done. Then before bed, you can apply Gold Bond healing hand cream (very good!) and coconut oil (good for skin), and cover them with jersey gloves, to help your hands get moisturized as you sleep. But O'keef's didn't work for me.
If it got in the bloodstream I would be a little worried. Super glue is toxic and I don’t know if I would want that near somethings so close to my bloodstream. My cracks are very deep.

Same here with me - super glue is the only thing that keeps the crack together long enough for the crack to start healing from the inside out
