I had the pleasure to meet KP irl, she does have a tendency to talk fast I noticed. She was pretty casual and laid back. A tiny bit cocky but otherwise it was a pleasure to meet her.
Seems there's a bit of 'issues' amongst those who watch DrWolf's/KP's vids and those who make the artwork/content for their videos. All I can give is my own personal experience on behalf of working for DrWolf so here I go. First I'd like to point out that it was DrWolf who introduced me to the Rift Cafe, odds are I wouldn't be succeeding like I am today if it weren't for his encouragment for me to grow and not be afraid to expand on my creativity. That I will always be grateful for. Secondly, while I've only been working for DrWolf for a short time, doing the editing for my own AMWDW volunteeringly, to being a beginner video editor for the TF2 Analysis Anarchy vids, it has been an amazing and fun experience for me that I wouldn't want to end long as I'm still having fun with it. NO I am not being paid for anything I work on for his behalf, but this is because I CHOOSE to. And for those of you who think I should be paid, consider this: Thanks to working on his team, my channel is nearing 1K subs and is continuing to grow. I have gained more experience in my media editing and animation. I have learned the value of working with an amazing team. We all do our part to make these videos come to life, with DrWolf keeping us all together like the true leader/director he is. And finally...above all of this, it is just a pure joy to work on his projects. I cannot remember the last time I've laughed so hard while editing a project, or reading scripts, or exchanging art ideas with others this much. If I gain any compensation out of this, it's what I just said. While I have never worked with KP and I have heard the standards that others "claim", I don't like to pass judgment based on the opinions of others. I haven't worked with her, therego I should have no right to critize her methods in her way of media making. Everyone has their own style and methods, and when you gain such a large following one needs help to maintain the growth, others just have different ways of doing it. I for one do NOT have a team of my own who does my artwork, scripting or editing because I am a control freak and get upset when I feel like others are doing "my work" when it should be mine to deal with, and not to burden others. One day this might change since I'm slowly but surely am gathering a small following. But if it does happen, I'm glad I can look back on this vid and take note on the struggles of what it means to be a leader of a media team. Thanks for the info and views DrWolf and KP. Lightning Bliss Bliss, i agree with you. Dr. Wolf is by Far one of the most amazing Ocs I have ever Watched. What he does is simply wonderful, its just great how he helps out all the OCS including you yourself, i love and look back at them and seeing how the reflect on my life as well how it will reflect my actions when me and riki will be starring in our own OC Show. Honestly whats the most fascinating thing Dr. Wolf does is the artwork he puts through different characters of the famous 6 along with ya'll. However my first OC I watched before hand was Mr. SilverQuill. He is the most funniest Character OC i have ever watched and cheers me up as well as help me realize my mistake and past actions sometimes. And even though he does those awkward comparison situations on other shows he makes a stupendous job making Everybody Laugh Even Himself.(Btw their is an announcement that Riki will be doing that concerns the entire Brony Nation. You, Dr.Wolf are a really good leader and a great inspration to us all you are an idol, a friend and a teacher you have a heart of gold and have an amazing understanding and patience for others. You set a good example to others including myself, even if some can't see that an amazing man such as yourself you are very wise with so much knowledge you share with us... your fans you have an incredible voicing talent your voice so deep... yet gentle, you have so much to offer to the world with your amazing talents and gifts. Out of all the other great reviewers/analysts out there, you were the only one that I drawn towards to the most cause you have an amazing spark of light that draws people to you in a most positive way, you made such of an impact on me doc if it wasn't for you I would thought of mlp less and only saw it just as entreatment and nothing more you help me to think deeper and analyze about things in life even about mlp. I want to be just like you doc be great leader and example to others even bring more light to the brony community, "but" if I had to be honest......I could never see myself as a leader am not much of a follower either am pretty much in the middle not worthy for either side. I love the topic but I have to admire the style and small bits of animation in this. The style on you DrWolkf looks here a lot like Disney. And the bit of animation in the end with you getting back to the chair and then doing your signature breathing was really nice. Greycat did a marvelous job.
Considering the recent drama, I don't think ILoveKimPossibleAlot really heeded any of this advice. And she's just not cut out for voice work. It's like she's trying to say absolutely everything on a single breath before she passes out.
Okay, this ticks me off because I've been a fan of the Nostalgia Critic for about two years before he "quit" and started Demo Reel. It... really wasn't a good but people didn't judge it solely based off that, he deviated from the formula and that's where most of the rage came from. He got harassed so much he was pretty much forced to bring back the Nostalgia Critic while merging some of what he gave us in Demo Reel. Yes, it was cringy as fuck at first, but things improved so much when he brought Tamara on board. She's a much better actress than the first one, who's name I don't even remember. So to say Kim hasn't learned her lesson from this isn't really fair. Not only is she trapped by the formula her fans are used to, but she does a hell of a lot more than Dr. Wolf or even SilverQuill does in either of their videos. She's got animations, memes and lightning quick quips appearing almost every second. While her Yahtzee impression and lack of detail puts me off her reviews, I can see how much of an editing nightmare her video's must be for her staff. How much time they take and how hard it is to translate what you envision to someone who isn't psychic, while also clinging to a weekly upload schedule, is extremely hectic and I can see why she and her staff lose patience sometimes. However, after the drama it's pretty clear Kim's been affected for the worst. The amount of entitled butthurtness and bullying tactics brought on by that "anonymous" twitter account was appalling and in the end, it only hurt Kim's creative drive and spirit, which I think was more of the point than to exact some sort of vigilante justice for an unpaid editor. She has a huge audience to appease and has to play nice with people who really, in my opinion, should remember who's project it is--paid or unpaid--and should check their egos at the door as a result. TL;DR: You can't say that about Kim when you consider how volatile her fanbase is. Deviating from the formula can be suicidal for a content creator, and everyone working for her should be more understanding when it comes to her position. No matter what she does, it's her head on the block and that's not fair.

As someone doing a management course right now, and been in management in the past, this is something that needs to be brought up more, from managing image with team members, management styles, how to deal with conflicts, etc. etc. in a real world context. ***** I feel ya. The stress and negativity can get to even the most respected and 'good' leader. Never let it get you down though, things get better once you get through a bad spot. Hey again doc, good to be back and see another AMWDW video. I've actually considered working for KP since...about last year or so, I was really excited to show off my skill and just as I was about to apply, I've seen some rather rude comments about KP's work requirements and how she would put so much stress onto somepony to the point they would quit. This video helps so much, not only with artists like me, but with KP as well. I work with a friend of mine on a production team, while she is the leader of the group and I am one of the artists, Im the one being told. But I've seen the amount of stress placed onto my boss if somepony flips over a project. So, seeing one of the bigger youtubers have a session like this helps.
I can kinda relate to this issue in my own way. It's kinda hard to imagine that more than two years have gone by since I became actively involved in the Brony Community. And what started that off was a fan-made episode project on DA. At first, I was just involved with writing the script, but a month later I found myself becoming the group's new director and main writer/screenplay. Through this project I met so many wonderful artists, VAs, writers, and other creative Bronies (and Pegasisters). And the shared passion we all had while working together was an experience I still cherish to this day. Unfortunately, I had to step down from my directing position when I started working in my current job at a feed mill. I still managed to complete the script by September (thankfully most of it was already done before I worked at the mill), but the project was eventually cancelled. I can't help but feel at times like I somehow let everyone down (including myself).
Doc, you continue to be one of the best analyzers on here. On a side note: if you ever wanna know some leadership trials and ideas talk to a military member, usually an NCO, they tend to have the best advice on how to be a good leader... and more than a few on how to a horrible one.

If one other question ***** if i might ask, Your gig/stick with Delancy/Discord. If in order to include him more or if for reasons they had to get someone else to be the voice for him, How might it change for you? *Its been Discord you speak of but also just as much Delancy though to a point tough to have the one minus the other so seems. If they had to or chose to get a different VA for D. what would you do? Would you still be as big a Discord fan? Or would it mean finding a new Sampia? Or would it be better to lose having Discord from in-show if it meant not having him as his VA to keep him in? (and how long is the 'sampia' thing going to be your thing ya think?)
I just want to say, these videos help me, I love watching them because it helps me in real life, I don't make videos but I do run a Instagram that helps people, so you help me help over people. I draw an my friend does edits when I need it. I tell him all the good apps so we help each other to run the account. People call me the Inventor because I invent ways to help people, most of my helping ideas really originate from you. I read their story and help them, some of them are depressed. I watch this series to help me calm down from the stress. So thank you, you help me and all of my followers on Instagram, from them and I, thank you so much.
As a leader it's important to be able to motivate your team to enrol in your vision, and carry the same values as you. To do that, you can discuss your goals and expectations with them before you get started, and make gentle course corrections while acknowledging accomplishments along the way. Communication, coordination, and delegation become even more key the larger your team is, and the larger the scale of your project. I have taken on some before thinking that if necessary I could do everything that needed to be done, and discovered otherwise. This relates to my experience within Toastmasters, since in 2009 I organized a Division-level speech contest. Such a contest involves about 24 clubs, plus delegates from the District. It's a lot to address if you don't have help from the right kind of people. I was fortunate, and the contest was an uproariously-funny success, and a fun learning experience. I know it's not even remotely the same kind of workload, however I release one chapter of my fanfic on Fimfiction every week. I started publishing when I was midway through 'Second Gear,' so I had all 8 chapters of 'First Gear' and at least 10 chapters of 'Second Gear' to act as a buffer. As long as I can manage to write one new chapter every week, and edit the next chapter to be published, my buffer doesn't shrink. Of course, this doesn't account for celebrating milestones, and like the show's staff, I release all the parts related to a premiere or finale together. My readers and I recently celebrated 300 reads for 'First Gear,' and today I have over 100 reads for 'Second Gear.' That's two extra chapters I hadn't originally accounted for, but I'm happy to do it because it means that many people have been enjoying my work. It's also funny because I originally had my season 2 premiere as a single chapter. When I realized how long it was, at over 10,000 words, I decided to split 'Resonance and Dissonance' into 'Dissonance' and 'Resonance.' From that point on, I decided I would split chapters that stretched that long, and release the part together, even if I hadn't originally planned it as a single chapter. Today's celebratory release is chapter 11, 'Hero's Glory,' which is the 'Mare-Do-Well' episode in season 2. Sunday's release is chapter 12, 'Meek But Fleet' There are a total of 30 chapters to 'Second Gear,' and I am writing chapter 4 in 'Third Gear.' That means I still have a considerable buffer, and lots of room in which to celebrate. 'Third Gear' is probably the second most ambitious part of my series, in part because I have 13 entirely original chapters to add to the story to make it 26 chapters long, but also because it will contain a great many changes. Its direct sequel, 'The Dark Wars,' is the most ambitious part, as far as I can see, because EVERYTHING will change, and it is entirely original (although it will take place before and during season 4). I have a lot planned, and a lot to do, don't I? It would seem too massive, looking at it all, so I broke it down into smaller parts so I could work on it.
Glad to see this series back ^^ Though, I hate to say this, dr. Wolf, but after seeing the Spanish Inquesitors viedo about the rift on you, I kind if had my doubts and felt I was let down since I look up to you a lot. However, then you put this one out, as you put some faith back into me. Maybe what he said was or wasn't true, but what maters to me was, even if it was, you two still show you care and love the people you work with. Though, one thing Id suggest is, maybe you should ask what you did to offend them. Can't hurt, and I've fixed many bridges used by doing so.

I can't deny or confirm on what Anthony said, and I don't want to pass judgment on things I don't know about. I'm happy working with them and want to keep good terms with both of them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the last thing I'd want to see is drama and unnecessary escalation.
The Autistic Pony I am trying to do what I can wherever I can. And like it says in the video above, I never forget about those who no longer wish to work with me. I have asked about whether I had done anything to offend them, and sometimes we can get into a good discussion about it. Other times, there have been those who just don't want to talk to me ever again, and I'm unable to discover their reasons behind it. It would be rather helpful if I could get some direct feedback in those situations, so I that I may improve my methods and interactions in the future. May I ask what this video is you mentioned here?

Okay I guess this is addressed to KP. But it can be seen as feedback for the Doctor too. Sorry about my elaboration curse. Between working with Dr.Wolf, and having been working with another person recently where I felt: "I hope I never have to work with that person professionally", I guess I do have an opinion here if it helps. In my case, the reason I do work for Dr.Wolf is because I want to see him smile. I'm actually terrified of having my work in front of his audience. But making him or anyone else smile and feel inspired is the best feeling. I always want to put up the best work I can for him, or at least within the perimeters he gives me. That and I was drawn to respect him due to his videos being a huge self motivator to me. This guy continues to keep my respect by taking the time for me when I need it. I won't deny that because I had to learn what he was like when working to him. I had to learn to be understanding of some unusual personality quirks he has. And understand that just because he had those odd quirks (If you're wondering 'what quirks' I feel they really aren't important enough to bring up in detail. But Doctor you can ask me later if you want.), did not mean he did not care about the contributions I or anyone else was making. In fact, he works hard to always say he appreciates what me (and my friends when they get hyped to join in) do. Everyone has their positives and negatives. I can't just hold Dr.Wolf on a unrealistic pedestal. Him and I both have faults. And of course, I've had to remind myself constantly that as much as I"d love to just chat and hang out with the Doctor the way I do with other friends, the poor guy is just too busy. He's trying so hard, and as he has stated, seeing him work harder than anyone who contributes makes me feel the need to push myself harder in the work I do for him, and for myself. But I know not everyone will feel as I do. Sometimes someone won't always understand the way a leader acts and so on. And other people have different motivations. So yeah KP. Working hard to really show emotionally how much you appreciate them would be a great motivator. Not saying you have to get too emotional or whatnot. And even when something doesn't go right, trying to have a back up or trying to understand where the person is coming from means the world. I know when delays have simply had to occur, I always felt bad not being able to get stuff to the Doctor as quickly as I wanted. I'd feel great guilt since he put so much faith in my abilities. But when I went to him and told him what's going on, he was always willing to listen, and... well one of the nicest things was to know that he liked my work so much that he was willing to adjust his schedule for me. That made me all the more determined to keep chipping away despite my circumstances. I mean not everyone is going to be understanding for why you do what you do. So try to be understanding half way, and you're more likely to find those who are willing to bridge the other half in order to make a great working relationship. As for the negative experience with another person. I don't dislike this person personally. I know everyone has their own lives unique and complex, and don't believe anyone as inherently 'horrible' no matter how much I like or dislike them. But I wished she were more open minded to the group. I also noticed if an idea of mine or someone elses worked, but hers did not, she would become very bitter. If it was a matter of her idea not being chosen she would just sort of angrily say "fine no one listen to me!" Yet if her idea worked she'd be bragging very hard, especially to me saying "aren't you glad my idea worked?". She tried to become the leader, even though we were all meant to be equal. Actually she didn't lead us, she bossed us. She would have very high expectations and demand we followed her idea to a T. She claimed all her ideas would work perfectly, but sometimes they would fall apart. If things were going smoothly, she actually liked to debate until we steered to how she wanted us to function. Even if things actually were going smoothly. Meanwhile I functioned the exact opposite of her. I learned sometimes my ideas were wrong and sometimes they were right. Sometimes hers were wrong and sometimes they were right. I was fine with some of my ideas failing. And sometimes she had good ideas. Sometimes everyone had good ideas. But I would have appreciated it if she just kindly said "It didn't work, that's okay. Thanks for trying. Let's try something else." Instead of bragging. She was the one who demanded the most, but was hardly there for the rest of the team. She didn't show up to class half the time, and did almost no work. I remember her often going around from person to person trying to see what they were doing in a half panic, but then... didn't do anything to her own work. Instead she said the basic set up another person did meant her section was fine. But there was so much she could have done. I"m normally peaceful and strive for a peaceful relation with others, yet I actually became angry the more she demanded from us but showed nothing. Even my best friend, who is also very calm and collected became angry at one point. So I hope that shows a difference. The girl I worked with was trying to be a Boss. Dr.Wolf strikes me as a Leader. As for you KP... well I can't say. I never worked under you, nor is your content something I'm a huge fan of. Though occasionally I'll find a video you worked in that I like. So I'm speaking as - in regards to you - someone who tried your channel, but is neutral. But that doesn't mean I don't respect you in your own right. You're certainly trying, striving, and creating something many people can enjoy. In fact one of my other best friends likes your content a lot. And for all that I commend you. Good luck.
So, first off, showing my age, but did KP eat the Micro Machines guy. Second, I love the animation on this video, especially on Dr. Wolf. The style kinda reminds me of the old Woody Woodpecker cartoons.
Doc, I wish that I could be a fraction as dedicated you guys are. I mean, I work to improve my craft as an artist every day, experimenting with new things all the time. And yet I can't say I've put nearly as much effort as you do. I keep trying though, don't you doubt that. I love doing it, and I wouldn't give it up for the world. I just wish I could focus myself better. Also, side points: the art style was adorable, and is it just me or did KP sound like she was slurring a lot, like she was talking too fast? Not a big deal, just odd.
Something I've seen happen with alarming frequency when it comes to both KP and Dr Wolf is people who seem to love spreading rumors. I've even had people try and rope me into them from time to time. Even someone who was in my Skype contacts tried to hammer it into my skull, and all I had to say to him was to stop being a fucking shit instigator. Those people spreading a false reputation about you are always going to be around. Thankfully they have incredibly tiny audiences and circles of influence. However I find it's incredibly unprofessional for someone to start bad-mouthing someone they've been working with simply because there's been a falling out. Nothing good has ever come from airing someone's dirty laundry. It just makes the "whistle-blower" look like a petty brat who has to gossip to make themselves feel better. Which they usually are. As someone who does his work entirely solo and does editing work for other people, yeah maintaining a professional environment and having good relationships is incredibly time consuming. This is why I like to keep things relatively impersonal.
they come for the projects and stay for the people. you do not have be friends with all of them. they can be friends with each other. the feeling that their friends are counting on them will give them drive to do the project better and one time. also it is good to give people a stake in the project. if someone feels like a part of the project belongs to them they will work harder then anyone else to get it done. you want to give people ownership of their piece of the project. look up the snowflake model of leadership.
I guess that also many artists, who are more professional than total beginners, they may want... money. If art takes a lot of their time and they do not feel that much big need of exposition or supporting one's work it can be hard for them to almost sacrifice without any payoff (a part of an experience of collaboration and such stuff). It can be a real thing especially when they used to or do earn money with their art, and then switching into mode "working for free" may really hurt their ego and motivations.

Brony RUclipsrs are so underrated and even neglected from the site. It is hard to run a channel and keep up with other aspects of life. I notice the team dynamic and the demand for new content is always putting more pressure on them. This fandom is also critical of creations as well which makes it hard to get above and become horse famous, as they say.
This is a great point! Plus I feel that I relate to this, since I'm starting a new awesome Doctor Who Fanseries which has 10 planned episodes so far, a season, being the most time consuming, my channel will have less videos, but I have a question, will longer projects benefit my channel more than small short fillers? I can't really tell if it will hurt the viewership, I want to keep audience, but I don't want to only make short small projects with not much ambition. I don't really know what to do, I have two series to do ATM, which is honestly going to make the wait for projects longer, I just don't know what to do!
I'm a construction worker, and the site super assigns me tasks specifically, I'm allowed to take whatever crew I need even though I have no official rank beyond skilled laborer. I must agree with Dr. Wolf about never asking others to do something you yourself would never do. I always take the hardest task, and if anyone who is helping me doesn't like what I've assigned I always offer to switch tasks or find a way to accommodate them. I also offer any help I can at a moments notice if it doesn't interfere with my ability to complete my assigned task. It has made me very valued by my crew (even though I'm highly passive aggressive at times, this nature actually shames me at times due to the fact when I am grumpy everyone is worried and I don't want them to worry.) On the flip side I am given more responsibility then others and even the site foremen leave me to do whatever I want in a day...which is awesome! ( I never have and never will, but I could go sit in a corner all day and not raise a finger and no one would say a thing lol, just nice to have that freedom.)

Iroh Legoman (I'm a guy) I have had a lot of trouble being a leader. Currently I am 19, in college, and the leader of a Sea Scout unit. The members are 13-16 years old. There is an average of 4-5 years difference between me and them; it is kind of hard to get them to listen to me. True they do sometimes, but the age and maturity seems to the boundary. I don't mean to sound, how ever it sound, but the unit would be as functional or effective without me. It was two other guys and myself that got the unit active again; we are now at a total of seven member, which is great. But they don't really do much. I have been the one putting plans and events together, and urging their advancement. I have tried to get their imput of what to do, but I get nothing. If I was to leave, the adults would do all of it, which is not what we are about. I am trying to team these guys the skill they need, so that when I am gone (in two years) they can function properly without the adults doing everything. In Scouting we have tool for teaching: the EDGE method. Explain Demonstrate Guide Enable. First you Explain what it is and what for. The you Demonstrate it,.so they see how it is done. Then you let them do it, while you Guide them along then way. Then you let them do it by themselves, Enabling what they have learned. Repeat if necessary. So far I am really only able to do Demonstrating. I try to Explain, but it's hard if they don't listen. When I try to get them to do something, I have to pick it up when they drop it. I would like I can see them Enabling, but there is a lot to do before then. I am doing the best I can to lead by example, but it can and will be hard. Push through it.

Okay first I would like to say that this was a very nicely animated video with a very good message. Now I know I'm not a famous youtuber with my 14 subs and no real videos and most people are just going to go look at other comments. But for those of you that are reading, hello my name is Scott. I only have two things to say so I will be brief. Firstly to Dr. Wolf: I would just like to say that your videos are wonderful and that they inspire me to try and do a little better in my life each day. So thank you sir, you are awesome. To everyone else: I would like to say that I mean no disrespect in ANY way by saying this. But something that popped into my head was that during this video when Dr. Wolf had his ears down he sort of resembled a rabbit. Thoughts? Thank you from this 17 year old brony.
I know the feeling of how one negative comment can drown out a dozen positive ones. Even worse: Someone who hates a video is way more inclined to comment at all than someone who enjoyed it. So I guess that 12 positive comments equal about 120 users who liked what they saw, while 1 negative comment equals maybe 2 or 3 users who didn't like it. But that 1 negative comment will cause discussions, so the hater gets more attention than the fan.

Hello sir I do so hate to be a bother but there's been something hanging heavy on my head for a while. I seem to be the polar opposite of everyone around me, my family, friends, etc, I can't bring myself to being truthful with who I am because they seem to be troubled by these differences, I honestly don't know what to do. I had the pleasure to meet KP irl, she does have a tendency to talk fast I noticed. She was pretty casual and laid back. A tiny bit cocky but otherwise it was a pleasure to meet her.

Seems there's a bit of 'issues' amongst those who watch DrWolf's/KP's vids and those who make the artwork/content for their videos. All I can give is my own personal experience on behalf of working for DrWolf so here I go.
First I'd like to point out that it was DrWolf who introduced me to the Rift Cafe, odds are I wouldn't be succeeding like I am today if it weren't for his encouragment for me to grow and not be afraid to expand on my creativity. That I will always be grateful for.
Secondly, while I've only been working for DrWolf for a short time, doing the editing for my own AMWDW volunteeringly, to being a beginner video editor for the TF2 Analysis Anarchy vids, it has been an amazing and fun experience for me that I wouldn't want to end long as I'm still having fun with it. NO I am not being paid for anything I work on for his behalf, but this is because I CHOOSE to. And for those of you who think I should be paid, consider this: Thanks to working on his team, my channel is nearing 1K subs and is continuing to grow. I have gained more experience in my media editing and animation. I have learned the value of working with an amazing team. We all do our part to make these videos come to life, with DrWolf keeping us all together like the true leader/director he is. And finally...above all of this, it is just a pure joy to work on his projects.
I cannot remember the last time I've laughed so hard while editing a project, or reading scripts, or exchanging art ideas with others this much. If I gain any compensation out of this, it's what I just said.
While I have never worked with KP and I have heard the standards that others "claim", I don't like to pass judgment based on the opinions of others. I haven't worked with her, therego I should have no right to critize her methods in her way of media making. Everyone has their own style and methods, and when you gain such a large following one needs help to maintain the growth, others just have different ways of doing it.
I for one do NOT have a team of my own who does my artwork, scripting or editing because I am a control freak and get upset when I feel like others are doing "my work" when it should be mine to deal with, and not to burden others. One day this might change since I'm slowly but surely am gathering a small following. But if it does happen, I'm glad I can look back on this vid and take note on the struggles of what it means to be a leader of a media team. Thanks for the info and views DrWolf and KP.

Lightning Bliss Bliss, i agree with you. Dr. Wolf is by Far one of the most amazing Ocs I have ever Watched. What he does is simply wonderful, its just great how he helps out all the OCS including you yourself, i love and look back at them and seeing how the reflect on my life as well how it will reflect my actions when me and riki will be starring in our own OC Show. Honestly whats the most fascinating thing Dr. Wolf does is the artwork he puts through different characters of the famous 6 along with ya'll. However my first OC I watched before hand was Mr. SilverQuill. He is the most funniest Character OC i have ever watched and cheers me up as well as help me realize my mistake and past actions sometimes. And even though he does those awkward comparison situations on other shows he makes a stupendous job making Everybody Laugh Even Himself.(Btw their is an announcement that Riki will be doing that concerns the entire Brony Nation. I love the topic but I have to admire the style and small bits of animation in this. The style on you DrWolkf looks here a lot like Disney. And the bit of animation in the end with you getting back to the chair and then doing your signature breathing was really nice. Greycat did a marvelous job.

Considering the recent drama, I don't think ILoveKimPossibleAlot really heeded any of this advice. And she's just not cut out for voice work. It's like she's trying to say absolutely everything on a single breath before she passes out.
Looking at this video now, I feel that she really hasn't improve herself to be better. Instead, just continue to do her usual "work".
Okay, this ticks me off because I've been a fan of the Nostalgia Critic for about two years before he "quit" and started Demo Reel. It... really wasn't a good but people didn't judge it solely based off that, he deviated from the formula and that's where most of the rage came from. He got harassed so much he was pretty much forced to bring back the Nostalgia Critic while merging some of what he gave us in Demo Reel. Yes, it was cringy as fuck at first, but things improved so much when he brought Tamara on board. She's a much better actress than the first one, who's name I don't even remember.
So to say Kim hasn't learned her lesson from this isn't really fair. Not only is she trapped by the formula her fans are used to, but she does a hell of a lot more than Dr. Wolf or even SilverQuill does in either of their videos. She's got animations, memes and lightning quick quips appearing almost every second. While her Yahtzee impression and lack of detail puts me off her reviews, I can see how much of an editing nightmare her video's must be for her staff. How much time they take and how hard it is to translate what you envision to someone who isn't psychic, while also clinging to a weekly upload schedule, is extremely hectic and I can see why she and her staff lose patience sometimes.
However, after the drama it's pretty clear Kim's been affected for the worst. The amount of entitled butthurtness and bullying tactics brought on by that "anonymous" twitter account was appalling and in the end, it only hurt Kim's creative drive and spirit, which I think was more of the point than to exact some sort of vigilante justice for an unpaid editor. She has a huge audience to appease and has to play nice with people who really, in my opinion, should remember who's project it is--paid or unpaid--and should check their egos at the door as a result.
TL;DR: You can't say that about Kim when you consider how volatile her fanbase is. Deviating from the formula can be suicidal for a content creator, and everyone working for her should be more understanding when it comes to her position. No matter what she does, it's her head on the block and that's not fair.

Hey again doc, good to be back and see another AMWDW video. I've actually considered working for KP since...about last year or so, I was really excited to show off my skill and just as I was about to apply, I've seen some rather rude comments about KP's work requirements and how she would put so much stress onto somepony to the point they would quit. This video helps so much, not only with artists like me, but with KP as well. I work with a friend of mine on a production team, while she is the leader of the group and I am one of the artists, Im the one being told. But I've seen the amount of stress placed onto my boss if somepony flips over a project. So, seeing one of the bigger youtubers have a session like this helps.

I can kinda relate to this issue in my own way. It's kinda hard to imagine that more than two years have gone by since I became actively involved in the Brony Community. And what started that off was a fan-made episode project on DA.
At first, I was just involved with writing the script, but a month later I found myself becoming the group's new director and main writer/screenplay. Through this project I met so many wonderful artists, VAs, writers, and other creative Bronies (and Pegasisters). And the shared passion we all had while working together was an experience I still cherish to this day. Unfortunately, I had to step down from my directing position when I started working in my current job at a feed mill. I still managed to complete the script by September (thankfully most of it was already done before I worked at the mill), but the project was eventually cancelled. I can't help but feel at times like I somehow let everyone down (including myself).
Doc, you continue to be one of the best analyzers on here. On a side note: if you ever wanna know some leadership trials and ideas talk to a military member, usually an NCO, they tend to have the best advice on how to be a good leader... and more than a few on how to a horrible one.

If they had to or chose to get a different VA for D. what would you do? Would you still be as big a Discord fan? Or would it mean finding a new Sampia?
Or would it be better to lose having Discord from in-show if it meant not having him as his VA to keep him in?

I just want to say, these videos help me, I love watching them because it helps me in real life, I don't make videos but I do run a Instagram that helps people, so you help me help over people. I draw an my friend does edits when I need it. I tell him all the good apps so we help each other to run the account. People call me the Inventor because I invent ways to help people, most of my helping ideas really originate from you. I read their story and help them, some of them are depressed. I watch this series to help me calm down from the stress. So thank you, you help me and all of my followers on Instagram, from them and I, thank you so much.

As a leader it's important to be able to motivate your team to enrol in your vision, and carry the same values as you. To do that, you can discuss your goals and expectations with them before you get started, and make gentle course corrections while acknowledging accomplishments along the way. Communication, coordination, and delegation become even more key the larger your team is, and the larger the scale of your project. I have taken on some before thinking that if necessary I could do everything that needed to be done, and discovered otherwise. This relates to my experience within Toastmasters, since in 2009 I organized a Division-level speech contest. Such a contest involves about 24 clubs, plus delegates from the District. It's a lot to address if you don't have help from the right kind of people. I was fortunate, and the contest was an uproariously-funny success, and a fun learning experience.
I know it's not even remotely the same kind of workload, however I release one chapter of my fanfic on Fimfiction every week. I started publishing when I was midway through 'Second Gear,' so I had all 8 chapters of 'First Gear' and at least 10 chapters of 'Second Gear' to act as a buffer.
As long as I can manage to write one new chapter every week, and edit the next chapter to be published, my buffer doesn't shrink. Of course, this doesn't account for celebrating milestones, and like the show's staff, I release all the parts related to a premiere or finale together.
My readers and I recently celebrated 300 reads for 'First Gear,' and today I have over 100 reads for 'Second Gear.' That's two extra chapters I hadn't originally accounted for, but I'm happy to do it because it means that many people have been enjoying my work.
It's also funny because I originally had my season 2 premiere as a single chapter. When I realized how long it was, at over 10,000 words, I decided to split 'Resonance and Dissonance' into 'Dissonance' and 'Resonance.' From that point on, I decided I would split chapters that stretched that long, and release the part together, even if I hadn't originally planned it as a single chapter.
Today's celebratory release is chapter 11, 'Hero's Glory,' which is the 'Mare-Do-Well' episode in season 2. Sunday's release is chapter 12, 'Meek But Fleet' There are a total of 30 chapters to 'Second Gear,' and I am writing chapter 4 in 'Third Gear.' That means I still have a considerable buffer, and lots of room in which to celebrate.
'Third Gear' is probably the second most ambitious part of my series, in part because I have 13 entirely original chapters to add to the story to make it 26 chapters long, but also because it will contain a great many changes. Its direct sequel, 'The Dark Wars,' is the most ambitious part, as far as I can see, because EVERYTHING will change, and it is entirely original (although it will take place before and during season 4).
I have a lot planned, and a lot to do, don't I? It would seem too massive, looking at it all, so I broke it down into smaller parts so I could work on it.

Though, I hate to say this, dr. Wolf, but after seeing the Spanish Inquesitors viedo about the rift on you, I kind if had my doubts and felt I was let down since I look up to you a lot. However, then you put this one out, as you put some faith back into me. Maybe what he said was or wasn't true, but what maters to me was, even if it was, you two still show you care and love the people you work with.
Though, one thing Id suggest is, maybe you should ask what you did to offend them. Can't hurt, and I've fixed many bridges used by doing so.
The Autistic Pony If it's any help, I can assure you, Dr Wolf is the first person I've co-opped in the Brony community and after over a year I'm still happy to work with him. I can't deny or confirm on what Anthony said, and I don't want to pass judgment on things I don't know about. I'm happy working with them and want to keep good terms with both of them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the last thing I'd want to see is drama and unnecessary escalation.
The Autistic Pony I am trying to do what I can wherever I can. And like it says in the video above, I never forget about those who no longer wish to work with me. I have asked about whether I had done anything to offend them, and sometimes we can get into a good discussion about it. Other times, there have been those who just don't want to talk to me ever again, and I'm unable to discover their reasons behind it. It would be rather helpful if I could get some direct feedback in those situations, so I that I may improve my methods and interactions in the future. May I ask what this video is you mentioned here?

Okay I guess this is addressed to KP. But it can be seen as feedback for the Doctor too. Sorry about my elaboration curse.
Between working with Dr.Wolf, and having been working with another person recently where I felt: "I hope I never have to work with that person professionally", I guess I do have an opinion here if it helps.
In my case, the reason I do work for Dr.Wolf is because I want to see him smile. I'm actually terrified of having my work in front of his audience. But making him or anyone else smile and feel inspired is the best feeling. I always want to put up the best work I can for him, or at least within the perimeters he gives me. That and I was drawn to respect him due to his videos being a huge self motivator to me. This guy continues to keep my respect by taking the time for me when I need it. I won't deny that because I had to learn what he was like when working to him. I had to learn to be understanding of some unusual personality quirks he has. And understand that just because he had those odd quirks (If you're wondering 'what quirks' I feel they really aren't important enough to bring up in detail. But Doctor you can ask me later if you want.), did not mean he did not care about the contributions I or anyone else was making. In fact, he works hard to always say he appreciates what me (and my friends when they get hyped to join in) do. Everyone has their positives and negatives. I can't just hold Dr.Wolf on a unrealistic pedestal. Him and I both have faults. And of course, I've had to remind myself constantly that as much as I"d love to just chat and hang out with the Doctor the way I do with other friends, the poor guy is just too busy. He's trying so hard, and as he has stated, seeing him work harder than anyone who contributes makes me feel the need to push myself harder in the work I do for him, and for myself. But I know not everyone will feel as I do. Sometimes someone won't always understand the way a leader acts and so on. And other people have different motivations.
So yeah KP. Working hard to really show emotionally how much you appreciate them would be a great motivator. Not saying you have to get too emotional or whatnot. And even when something doesn't go right, trying to have a back up or trying to understand where the person is coming from means the world. I know when delays have simply had to occur, I always felt bad not being able to get stuff to the Doctor as quickly as I wanted. I'd feel great guilt since he put so much faith in my abilities. But when I went to him and told him what's going on, he was always willing to listen, and... well one of the nicest things was to know that he liked my work so much that he was willing to adjust his schedule for me. That made me all the more determined to keep chipping away despite my circumstances. I mean not everyone is going to be understanding for why you do what you do. So try to be understanding half way, and you're more likely to find those who are willing to bridge the other half in order to make a great working relationship.
As for the negative experience with another person. I don't dislike this person personally. I know everyone has their own lives unique and complex, and don't believe anyone as inherently 'horrible' no matter how much I like or dislike them. But I wished she were more open minded to the group. I also noticed if an idea of mine or someone elses worked, but hers did not, she would become very bitter. If it was a matter of her idea not being chosen she would just sort of angrily say "fine no one listen to me!" Yet if her idea worked she'd be bragging very hard, especially to me saying "aren't you glad my idea worked?". She tried to become the leader, even though we were all meant to be equal. Actually she didn't lead us, she bossed us. She would have very high expectations and demand we followed her idea to a T. She claimed all her ideas would work perfectly, but sometimes they would fall apart. If things were going smoothly, she actually liked to debate until we steered to how she wanted us to function. Even if things actually were going smoothly. Meanwhile I functioned the exact opposite of her. I learned sometimes my ideas were wrong and sometimes they were right. Sometimes hers were wrong and sometimes they were right. I was fine with some of my ideas failing. And sometimes she had good ideas. Sometimes everyone had good ideas. But I would have appreciated it if she just kindly said "It didn't work, that's okay. Thanks for trying. Let's try something else." Instead of bragging. She was the one who demanded the most, but was hardly there for the rest of the team. She didn't show up to class half the time, and did almost no work. I remember her often going around from person to person trying to see what they were doing in a half panic, but then... didn't do anything to her own work. Instead she said the basic set up another person did meant her section was fine. But there was so much she could have done. I"m normally peaceful and strive for a peaceful relation with others, yet I actually became angry the more she demanded from us but showed nothing. Even my best friend, who is also very calm and collected became angry at one point.
So I hope that shows a difference. The girl I worked with was trying to be a Boss. Dr.Wolf strikes me as a Leader. As for you KP... well I can't say. I never worked under you, nor is your content something I'm a huge fan of. Though occasionally I'll find a video you worked in that I like. So I'm speaking as - in regards to you - someone who tried your channel, but is neutral. But that doesn't mean I don't respect you in your own right. You're certainly trying, striving, and creating something many people can enjoy. In fact one of my other best friends likes your content a lot. And for all that I commend you. Good luck.

Doc, I wish that I could be a fraction as dedicated you guys are. I mean, I work to improve my craft as an artist every day, experimenting with new things all the time. And yet I can't say I've put nearly as much effort as you do. I keep trying though, don't you doubt that. I love doing it, and I wouldn't give it up for the world. I just wish I could focus myself better.

Something I've seen happen with alarming frequency when it comes to both KP and Dr Wolf is people who seem to love spreading rumors. I've even had people try and rope me into them from time to time. Even someone who was in my Skype contacts tried to hammer it into my skull, and all I had to say to him was to stop being a fucking shit instigator.
Those people spreading a false reputation about you are always going to be around. Thankfully they have incredibly tiny audiences and circles of influence.
However I find it's incredibly unprofessional for someone to start bad-mouthing someone they've been working with simply because there's been a falling out. Nothing good has ever come from airing someone's dirty laundry. It just makes the "whistle-blower" look like a petty brat who has to gossip to make themselves feel better. Which they usually are.
As someone who does his work entirely solo and does editing work for other people, yeah maintaining a professional environment and having good relationships is incredibly time consuming. This is why I like to keep things relatively impersonal.
You gave good advice on how to lead by example.

they come for the projects and stay for the people. you do not have be friends with all of them. they can be friends with each other. the feeling that their friends are counting on them will give them drive to do the project better and one time. also it is good to give people a stake in the project. if someone feels like a part of the project belongs to them they will work harder then anyone else to get it done. you want to give people ownership of their piece of the project. look up the snowflake model of leadership.

I guess that also many artists, who are more professional than total beginners, they may want... money. If art takes a lot of their time and they do not feel that much big need of exposition or supporting one's work it can be hard for them to almost sacrifice without any payoff (a part of an experience of collaboration and such stuff). It can be a real thing especially when they used to or do earn money with their art, and then switching into mode "working for free" may really hurt their ego and motivations.

Brony RUclipsrs are so underrated and even neglected from the site. It is hard to run a channel and keep up with other aspects of life. I notice the team dynamic and the demand for new content is always putting more pressure on them. This fandom is also critical of creations as well which makes it hard to get above and become horse famous, as they say.

Plus I feel that I relate to this, since I'm starting a new awesome Doctor Who Fanseries which has 10 planned episodes so far, a season, being the most time consuming, my channel will have less videos, but I have a question, will longer projects benefit my channel more than small short fillers? I can't really tell if it will hurt the viewership, I want to keep audience, but I don't want to only make short small projects with not much ambition. I don't really know what to do, I have two series to do ATM, which is honestly going to make the wait for projects longer, I just don't know what to do!

I'm a construction worker, and the site super assigns me tasks specifically, I'm allowed to take whatever crew I need even though I have no official rank beyond skilled laborer. I must agree with Dr. Wolf about never asking others to do something you yourself would never do. I always take the hardest task, and if anyone who is helping me doesn't like what I've assigned I always offer to switch tasks or find a way to accommodate them. I also offer any help I can at a moments notice if it doesn't interfere with my ability to complete my assigned task. It has made me very valued by my crew (even though I'm highly passive aggressive at times, this nature actually shames me at times due to the fact when I am grumpy everyone is worried and I don't want them to worry.) On the flip side I am given more responsibility then others and even the site foremen leave me to do whatever I want in a day...which is awesome! ( I never have and never will, but I could go sit in a corner all day and not raise a finger and no one would say a thing lol, just nice to have that freedom.)

I have had a lot of trouble being a leader. Currently I am 19, in college, and the leader of a Sea Scout unit. The members are 13-16 years old. There is an average of 4-5 years difference between me and them; it is kind of hard to get them to listen to me. True they do sometimes, but the age and maturity seems to the boundary.
I don't mean to sound, how ever it sound, but the unit would be as functional or effective without me. It was two other guys and myself that got the unit active again; we are now at a total of seven member, which is great. But they don't really do much. I have been the one putting plans and events together, and urging their advancement. I have tried to get their imput of what to do, but I get nothing. If I was to leave, the adults would do all of it, which is not what we are about.
I am trying to team these guys the skill they need, so that when I am gone (in two years) they can function properly without the adults doing everything.
In Scouting we have tool for teaching: the EDGE method.
Explain Demonstrate Guide Enable.
First you Explain what it is and what for. The you Demonstrate it,.so they see how it is done. Then you let them do it, while you Guide them along then way. Then you let them do it by themselves, Enabling what they have learned. Repeat if necessary.
So far I am really only able to do Demonstrating. I try to Explain, but it's hard if they don't listen. When I try to get them to do something, I have to pick it up when they drop it. I would like I can see them Enabling, but there is a lot to do before then.
I am doing the best I can to lead by example, but it can and will be hard. Push through it.

Okay first I would like to say that this was a very nicely animated video with a very good message. Now I know I'm not a famous youtuber with my 14 subs and no real videos and most people are just going to go look at other comments. But for those of you that are reading, hello my name is Scott.

I know the feeling of how one negative comment can drown out a dozen positive ones. Even worse: Someone who hates a video is way more inclined to comment at all than someone who enjoyed it. So I guess that 12 positive comments equal about 120 users who liked what they saw, while 1 negative comment equals maybe 2 or 3 users who didn't like it. But that 1 negative comment will cause discussions, so the hater gets more attention than the fan.
