I've owned 2 Sonatas and they were very dependable. The fuel economy was outstanding. One important aspect of owning a Hyundai Sonata, was the comfort. I put a lot of miles on my cars, roughly a 100,000 a year. The ride comfort was a welcomed benefit, and much appreciated.
It's interesting. We had a 16' Sonota hybrid. I remember them being pretty darn good, but it has been a long time so I couldn't say for sure. But consumer reports isn't crazy about the ride, so I'm glad to get confirmation by your endorsement!

I think the new Accords look timeless, but the current Camrys and Altimas look super dated. This Sonata looks like it’s from 2040 though - super futuristic! I like that Hyundai is taking big chances with their designs.

The issue is they are a similar price. So why save 4,000 dollars getting a Sonata when you can save 20,000 dollars buying a Camry and keeping it twice as long.
One reason why not to buy it it’s a fucking Hyundai Kia. Company does not stand by their warranty’s at all. Brought my car in to the dealership for the oil change, while under warranty. They didn’t put oil back into the car, which resulted in a blown engine, and they refuse to take responsibility and refuse to put a new engine in under warranty, even though it was their fault.
Sounds like you just had a crap dealer.... why not diy your oil change btw.... I hate doing dealer oil changes it being "free" does not give me peace of mind them throwing whatever junk they want in my car just cuz. You can even buy your own oil and they'll put it in.. why they apparently didn't put oil in your car sounds ngl fake and just a weird story made up to discourage Hyundai buyers. I'm ngl. Because that's stupid to not put oil back in an engine.......

My kid was having head surgery and I need to take the car on along trip to see the doctor, 20 miles in the engine blow. That’s just me I have many examples of Kai Hyundai cars failing and they did honor thier warranties. Sorry cheap ass cars. But Toyota all the way.

Incorrect. I've had 4 Korean cars. All bought brand new. All went to over 100.000 miles with either 0 repairs or issues, or a couple minor repairs. And who wants to keep a car for 200.000 miles???
What about the Canadian owners who were told they would have to pay $60,000 for new batteries, and their cars were considered totaled by Hyundai/Kia Canada.
This is nice and all but Hyundai Kia vehicles are still garbage. Their warranties are useless and the dependable Camry will be still on the road for many long years to come
Hyundai gives you nice looking paint and questionable design which is inexpensive with horrible engines and transmissions. Good engine and transmission designs are more expensive.

Toyota build quality only may exists in japan.....I bought my first Camry 7 years ago. Found discrepancies like the waether seal installed crooked and pinched, interior trims uneven. But so far reaialable.
To compensate reliability they throw latest tech nothing else suggestion is talk about reliability as well I see your santafe broke down twice though it’s good looking and hitech ultimately reliability wins

I dont think hyundai/kia is good at trying to include luxury features from high end cars. Kia Carnival sx presige seems a bit too suspicious for having a ton of luxury features for 50k. Same starting price as a glc.

Never buy a Hyundai or Kia, the company DOES not stand by their warranty, and will simply reject your should any big damage come your way, I have a Hyundai sonata and they have class action lawsuit against that engine and the company has been nothing but trouble, the car has been sitting on my drive way from months thank good ness I have another dependable car. The Hyundai dealerships suck even more.

Everybody knows that warranty is limited to power train. And, obviously a Toyota Camry does not need that warranty cause, in general, Toyota's cars power trains last much longer than a mere 10 years without giving any problem whatsoever.
Sorry but Toyota is boring it reminds me when audiovox came whit a phone; but the Sonata it’s other experience I have the 2021 and it’s super comfortable and smooth and in highway brings a really good MPG so this one looks amazing

Got one , 2.5L engine w turbo and it should really have a v6. Sports mode barely pulls and the v4 engine takes a moment to gain accelleration
