The child-like call of "Mutter" building to the final rage filled howl of "Mutter!" gets me every time. Find it so hard not to cry at that point. Such a sad, sad, song performed with so much passion and emotion. Great choice and great reaction.

I've played this song as the Richard style guitarist with bands I play with and I've emulated my performance of his style in this video. The wah pedal, the feel. And I usually cry a little bit while I"m doing it.

For years I raved to the song without understanding it. Nowadays I cant help but cry esp after learning the song's backstory then mixing with full understanding of the music video. You may or may not have a mum but might still find yourself in situations crying for her like when he says - Oh gib mir kraft/ Oh give me strength. This cry could either be to get over his suffering through surviving or finding that little courage to end his life altogether. Heartbreakingly sad

Rammstein was my gateway into reaction videos. Just before the start of the pandemic, I was watching Rammstein videos on RUclips and noticed that some people on RUclips were reacting to the videos so a decided to have a look. One of my things throughout the pandemic and lockdowns has been engaging with others who show their appreciation for this music. It got me into Nightwish too, and various other acts that I have now had a deep dive into (streamed, bought CDs, bought gig tickets for when we come out of this. I booked Rammstein before the pandemic and I think it’s been postponed twice). And I enjoy the way some of the best reactors (you included) share their love, enthusiasm, knowledge etc., and it makes the experience - especially when you can’t experience the live thing - more vivid and engaging.

    • @scottevil4531

It‘s so so amazing to see how you love Rammstein and see the beauty in this song. In fact, it‘s one of their darkest and saddest songs lyrics wise, but performed in a weird beautiful way - a bit like „Deutschland“ is beautiful and at the same time highly saddening with its subtext. Love your reactions.

But then who else makes a song that depicts this human urge to be the first and the best that ocuppies the minds even of those who have least the chance to ever achieve it?
Finding those meanings and nuances and alternative interpretations is the most interesting apect when reading/listening to Tills lyrics. I guess @Aileensenpai can quite well judge for herself what she wants on her channel and what not. As an outsider, I'm not too sure how the German, French, and English people get along in general, but one of my favourite Rammstein performances is their cover of Depeche Mode's Stripped in Nimes 2005. So, you basically have a German band performing in front of a French audience while singing in English and everyone is having a great time. I would imagine some people involved in historic events some 60 years prior to that might be turning in their graves.

GIRL! I NEED more Rammstein reactions from you! You are by far my most favorite reactor (not nuclear, of course! 😉 )! I just LOVE your expressions when something new happens (quite often with Rammstein) and how they blow you away! Don't just stick to their live shows (which are, of course, all spectacular), but their official videos are really amazing also.
Just one thing, though... Try to stay away from their song Ramm4 (pronounced Ramm Fear - in German, RammVier) for the time being. You really need to experience (notice I didn't just say see or listen to) more of their works. Once you get a dozen or more videos/shows under your belt, then... THEN... Ramm4. It will make it all the more special when you do!

Because of this I would love to see you react to Sabaton - Ghost Division (Official Live Video), find out what that song is about and where they are playing it (500k people in the crowd). This piece is also a good example that without Flake Rammstein would never have been what they are.
Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously.
What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a
mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds nearly like any metal band. Together with the typical Rammstein monster guitar riffs the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this Rammstein sound so unique !
    Another good example - ruclips.net/video/Uq41Fmw5CGI/видео.html

I would suggest checking those two out., New subber just found you yesterday just because you were reacting to Rammstein. Good evening Aileensenpai😊 I am looking forward to your reaction from Rammstein "Mutter“ Goosebumps are guaranteed ....Send you the lyrics.......The tears of aged children
I pull them up on a white hair
Throw the wet chain in the air
    And I wish I had a mother
No sun that shines on me
    No breast has cried milk
There is a hose in my throat
Don't have a navel on your stomach
    Mother mothers
    Mother mothers
I wasn't allowed to lick nipples
    And no fold to hide
    Nobody gave me a name
Conceived in haste and without seed
The mother who never gave birth to me
    I swore tonight
I will give her a disease
And then sink them in the river
    Mother mothers
    Mother mothers
    Mother mothers
    Mother mothers
An eel lives in her lungs
    A birthmark on my forehead
Remove it with a knife's kiss
Even if I have to die from it
    Mother mothers
    Mother mothers
An eel lives in her lungs
    A birthmark on my forehead
Remove it with a knife's kiss
Even if I have to bleed to death
    Mother mothers
    Oh give me power
    Mother mothers
    Oh give me power
    Mother mothers
    Oh give me power
    Mother mothers
    Oh give me power

It does add a lot if you do understand the lyrics. They can be quite harsh though, but so good. One of my other slow Rammstein favourites is Sonne, not sure if you have listened to that one already and I am too lazy to look it up :-) I love seeing that people around the world can unite with music and metal in particular. The complexity of metal is often underrated by those that never experienced it.

I know a few words, I search the translation of the song titles and dig for the song meaning to get a general feel of the theme but that´s it, just enjoy it cause it´s so diferent and original. Great reaction, try Mein Teil live, it´s a an amazing song and performance about a real case of canibalism that happened in germany a few years ago. Peace.

This song is about a man who never had a mother because he was born as a result of an experiment. The man in the song seeks revenge against his mother, who did not give birth to him. But at the same time, he expresses his love for the same mother.
