Kapileshwar Mahadev, also known as Kabilash Mahadev, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated in the Kabilas (Nateshwar) area of Nuwakot District, Nepal, at an elevation of approximately 1,341 meters.
The temple holds significant spiritual importance, as it is believed to be a meditation site for several esteemed figures, including Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), Kapil Muni, Galeshwar Mahadev, and Naraharinath. Devotees and visitors often find the location conducive to deep meditation, experiencing states of tranquility with ease.
Geographically, Kapileshwar Mahadev is located approximately 42.4 kilometers north of Kathmandu. The journey is more comfortable when undertaken by jeep or motorcycle, given the terrain and road conditions.
