I know its just a throwaway line but honestly I really respect Hank a lot for saying "its not nazi germany" and not forcing Walt to come. It actually goes all the way back to season 1 and Walt talking about having a choice.. i feel in this moment in this episode, Hank respected Walt's choice, and that means a lot.

He also had a similar response to Marie asking him why he couldn't just arrest Jesse and make him tell him where the RV was. "There's this thing called the Constitution" or something along those lines.

@@hbk314 Marie is definitely a fascist at heart, which is why her "If I had a dollar for every time I heard that," comment here was so hilarious. Though, to her credit, she was the first one to suggest that Walt should have a choice about his own treatment.

    • @anenemyanemone4923
      @anenemyanemone4923 11 месяцев назад +1

@@mr.monkey354 Why yes, I do have some idea what it is. I'm even familiar with Umberto Eco's writings on the matter as someone who lived through Fascism in the truest historical sense (i.e. the one with a capital F) rather than the broader one that he and some others attempted to define. It is notoriously difficult to pin down a concise definition because it's not a movement based on any single coherent overarching ideology, though there are clusters of characteristics that you'll find in fascistic political movements (hence the various lists of characteristics of fascism -usually 14 for some reason- that one can find). The difficulty of pinning down a concise coherent definition also makes it convenient to cast aspersions on anyone who ever uses the term by suggesting that they don't know what it is (and to be fair, you're right that most have at best an even more nebulous idea than any of the famously difficult-to-pin-down descriptions).
That said, perhaps I should have merely said "authoritarian", but I don't feel the distinction was all that important here, especially since, in the show's context, she was self-owning with her complaint about how often her suggestions were referred to as Nazi-like (i.e. like the 1930s German flavor of fascism). Now I get that the comparison has been a bit overused and that not all authoritarians are fascists let alone Nazis. But at the end of the day, the line was still funny, and revealing about Marie's way of thinking.
(Minor edit, because, for some reason, surrounding a bit of text with two hyphens on each side renders as striking the text out rather than a pair of em-dashes, as God intended.)

Have to say, finally watching this episode and leading into the Season Finale, I just have to say, one of the best season finales, if not THE best season finale I’ve ever seen!
From the setups, to the execution, AND to the setup for the next season! The whole season was essentially a major turning point for Walt’s descent, for Walt becoming as downright evil as Gus and the cartel.
I know you’ve already seen the ending, but I definitely need to say, knowing what Walt did in this episode and Face Off, pretty much screamed volumes on what kind of person Walt will be in Season 5. Seeing him sunk as low as child poisoning just begs the major question. How much lower could he possibly go?
Many people point it out. The early seasons, or at least first season, is to get you on Walt’s side. The rest of the show as it moves forwards gives us all an important question. How long can we take Walt’s side?
Seeing Walt spin that gun, and realizing by the end of Face Off what it landed on, honestly, one of the best plot twists for any main character.
I’m already excited to see your reaction to the Season finale, and Season 5. Even if it means waiting a couple of weeks, it’s always worth the wait!

You and your GF should react to The Crow (1994) starring Brandon Lee, he is Bruce Lee son.
Brandon Lee tragically got shot on the set of the movie due to a prop gun with a piece of left over blank bullet residue, the crew thought Brandon was playing joke when scene was over and when he was laying on the floor he wasn’t moving but when they got closer they saw it was serious and rushed Brandon Lee to the hospital, the doctors did everything they could but it was too late Brandon Lee passed away at the age of 28.
Some scenes aren’t Brandon it’s his body double Chad Stahelski, Chad is the director of the John Wick franchise. The director of The Crow Alex Proyas had too cut and add new scenes for the movie because of happened to Brandon. They also CGI Brandon Lee face on too Chad face and the makeup artist made a face mask of Brandon face for chad to wear. All scenes were they don’t show Brandon Lee face it’s Chad
Brandon was supposed get married to his fiancée Eliza Hutton after The Crow finished filming.
After Brandon was supposed to get married Brandon was going to a sign a two-year deal to continue The Crow storyline. The Crow is comic book/graphic novel created by James O'Barr.
Before entering the Marines, O'Barr's fiancée Beverly had been killed by a drunk driver.
While living in Berlin in 1981, O'Barr began work on his comic The Crow as a means of dealing with his personal tragedy.
O'Barr was further inspired by a Detroit newspaper account of the murder of a young couple over a $20 engagement ring.
In The Crow, the protagonist, Eric and his fiancée Shelly are murdered by a gang of criminals. Eric then returns from the dead guided by a supernatural crow, to hunt their killers.
After his discharge from the Marines O'Barr continued his painting and illustration as well as doing various odd jobs.
The Crow sat on a shelf for seven years but at last he found a publisher with Gary Reed of Caliber Press.
The first miniseries was published in 1989. The Crow has since sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide.
This movie has the best soundtrack of all time according to Rolling Stones magazine, Revolver Magazine etc. and the movie score is amazing as well.

I'm assuming that with the lab being deep underground, there's not really anything for the DEA to find. It makes more sense to allow them to search and perhaps "clear" the laundry as a place of interest than to raise suspicion by acting like they have something to hide.
Also, Dennis could have changed his mind once he saw the dog. There would be no reason to do so for the reasons above, but it's a consensual search and consent can be revoked at any time. Of course, if they actually found something that gave them probable cause to continue, they could do so.
